SOULDOLL Zenith Chiron Discussion - 70cm Centaur & Human versions

Aaargh. I just sold my Sard and Beryl to be able to afford some Dollstown bodies and now I see a 70cm Centaur. I love larger dolls. Sigh. I am dreading the pricetag though.

So, what do you think? Will he be a two legged centaur or a real one, four legs, horse body and all?
I'm hoping for the latter!

 

OMG!!!!!!!! I still can't quite believe that someone is making a 70cm centaur. It would be so impractical on every level. But if they do...OMG!!!! Although it is not a picture of an actual doll, it would be foolish to show a picture of an honest-to-goodness, full blown centaur and then just give us a guy with hooves. Now, wouldn't it be funny if Soom confounded all our expectations and also brought out a centaur for Sagittarius? OMG. I'm already in heaven and we haven't even seen pics yet. Shall I say "OMG!!!!" again? I can't help myself!

 

If both soom and souldoll releases centaurs I will have to sell my children, LOL.
I wonder when pictures will be up?

 

This is so exciting! I wouldn't be interested in a male centaur, so I wonder how easy it would be to mod the doll and use a female torso...?

 

You and me both, Skywalker_Mizuki. But, ah, it would be worth it. At least this one doesn't appear to be limited so we can wait to see what Soom do for Sag before coughing up (and we will cough up, whatever the price).

EEEeeeeppp.... Well, they beat soom to the punch on Sagittarius... Chiron specifically (in mythology) is the centaur in the constellation... And I'm a Sagittarius!

I knew I would be doomed and have no money when a company finally came out with a centaur BJD....

For anyone worrying about the face sculpt, I can tell you that Souldoll normal skin is a pretty good match for Luts normal skin. I think that 08 man head would look very good on a centaur body...

 

OMG! I really will be screwed, no dough for a SOOM limited, I might be able to scrape it together for a Souldoll on general release though!

 

SoulDoll just keeps blowing me away. Can't WAIT to see how they handle this concept.

That is the most awesome thing ever!! He is gonna be huge if he really does have the full horse body! I would want to snuggle with him.

I can't imagine that it is any coincidence that Souldoll are bringing this out before the release of Sagittarius, our previous contender for a centaur doll. Let's see who makes that best job of it.

Competition can be a great thing....but I'm a bit unnerved by this not-coincidence. Not that I want a centaur - I'm totally waiting to see if Soom will release a "true" satyr with Capricorn....and we get a goat rather than the Sardian bull....but that's just me being terribly selfish.

I think I may be screwed either way. SOOM has been alternating genders, that means the next one up should be a girl... I think? And this one definitely looks male..... The Kktomu I have on layaway needs parents!!

 

If Soom's been alternating gender, then Scorpio will be a girl and the centaur will be male ^^ I think anyway

One of the first fantasy based stories I wrote in HS was about a centaur and the idea of bringing one into a 3d world has me so excited, but like many of you I worry about price tag. So let us wait and see if this will indeed be first affordable and then if so I can see not only him being added to my BJD family but I know the DT elf will be his girlfriend!

 

Do you all think him being 4 legged he will be banned from DOA as far as Data threads and such? I mean if he is like the little one that one company put out where he comes with more human legs for a 2 legged doll, as well as the horse part then he should be allowed. But if he has to stay 4 legged due to costs due to his size so no human side to him that then DOA will ban him from topic here?

 

I realize it's quibbling over semantics - but there IS a difference between "banned" and "off-topic." The Domadoll centaur is considered "on-topic" for Den of Angels. All dolls are considered for their topicness on an individual basis.
