Hello!! new to the thread

I put a Junia on layaway the day before her period ended, and She will be my first souldoll and first msd too. It will be a while until I get her though.

I was wondering if any had photos of Junia in tan skin? I'm getting anxious about my color choice because there's no photos of the elf head haha

It's a picture with more flash than I'd like and she still doesn't have the final wig or eyes I want for her, but I thought I'd let Phi say hello to you all again.

The only elf Junias I've seen are Angeltoast's, Espok Mariya's, and Jessy's. And I think only the last one is in tan skin. I hope those help!

 

@Galatea thanks for the links!! I saw the normal skin ones before but the tan skin elf head I totally missed, that is helpful Phi is super pretty, I love the green hair against her skin~

 

My Aehael, Lois, has been sitting around bald while we wait for her blonde stock SoulDoll wig. When this 6-7 wig from Little Monica arrived today I couldn't help trying it on her. Unfortunately the brunette look suits her so well, I might have to do some rethinking and let her keep it, lol!

I kind of wish I would have also gotten a junia. Does Souldoll rerelease their dolls or is it one ordering period only?

 

I think it's only one period. I haven't seen any re-releases.

My junia will be here tomorrow but I wish I would have gotten Aehael as well.

 

just out of curiosity, what color did you guys get junia's antlers, tail and hooves in? I went with the transparent green!

 

I got the human version, so no antlers etc. for me

Rex: got the parts in white and the doll in normal. the layaway she was on was payed off in febuary

 

I went with normal skin and transparent green parts. I'm looking forward to seeing it though I know I won't be keeping her - Souldoll told me they'd be shipping today, but my order status hasn't changed

@Reinameron: XD Well, the white one has his human ears in for those pics, but apri-Lev is my Dalish, so that's perfectly correct for him

And yes, thought for now any idea in that direction will have to wait. I'm currently aaaaaall excited for the Vito girl :3

I totally understand this your addiction! I tried different makeup and different ears and all images was always so diverse and so interesting. I would like a second head to revive some of it again.

When I wanted to buy the Lev head I found it at the secondary market for a month or two, and now I realize that it was a really lucky, because since then I haven't seen any sale proposals of Lev. And you have 3! Wow! How did you do it? Did you buy all dolls when they were on sale or after, at secondary market?

 

am I the only one who is still waiting for their aehael?

Oh, I originally feel in love with the apricot one. He was limited and the order period time long gone. I thought the regulary avaible Levs were not the same due to the face-up. A friend got her friend one along with her own order and made a pic of the blank head before passing the boy on.
Finances were against an immediate purchase at that point, but about two months later Souldoll suddenly announced the discontinuation of several molds - of course Lev had to be among them.
I couldn't choose which color to take for a long time. Then I purchased both colors and passed the white NL body off to an Issac head I had purchased in a split of the winter event before... The white and the normal skin one ended up sitting on Doll Leaves bodies (the one one is a great match btw, the DS ns one darker, but I don't care much in this case ^^°).
Only last summer the same friend that took that pic for me happened to spot a Lev in APRICOT on ebay. In the full set. On auction. She sent me a mail with a link. And then I was lurking, waiting, bidding (my time) and ... well, it was rather heart racing. I couldn't believe it for a few moments when I read that he was finally, finally, FINALLY mine. And... *caughs* I got the fullset cheaper in the end than the blank apricot doll would have cost me ;P
If I hadn't been a fan of 'if a doll is meant for you, you'll get your chance' by then... I'd have been a believer at that point latest ;P

Lev is unfortunately totally underrated and I largely believe this to be the company's face-up on the 'regulary' avaible one. But just recently I saw a doll profile on the main page and instantly recognized Lev again -^^-
So they do exist out there, even thought I fear they are kind rare.
Since I got into the hobby, I've only seen one other apricot Lev and only three normal skin Levs and I think one white skin on the MP. So, yes. I'd consider you rather lucky :3

I never considered ebey as the trading platform of bjd (stuff - yes, but not doll by itself), so it is very ... doubtful, but now I will also look for.

 

@hoe-nir: I usually only frequent ebay as a platform for bjd purchases from official retailers or bjd accessoirs (like clothes, shoes, etc), but sometimes I look there for dolls from private people. Those instances are rare, but they exist. In the end 98% of my purchases have gone via the company, an official retailer or the MP here or one on a local board. I think Apri-Lev might be my only purchases outside that...

XD Lev hasn't been my only adventure when it came to limited dolls I happened to fall for way after release. But I got to admit patience and savings have aided me in getting pretty much all dolls I wanted in those regards. Only got two dolls on my wishlist now and neither has yet been produced :3 (Thought one will be soon - a Vito girl )

So if you want another Lev: Keep at it. Regulary check the MP, set money aside... so when YOUR Lev turns up, you can snatch him right away :3

 

Hi, I'm quite new to the hobby and this is my first post so I hope I'm doing this right.
I'm going to buy a Gana for my friend and probably a Bonnie for me but I'm unsure about the bodies. Could anyone tell me about the NL small bust body please? I can only find info on the double-jointed and NL big bust. I'm interested in the poseability, especially kneeing and standing.

I inquired about vito-girls. They have just announced, and even no pictures yet. Am I right?

@Oshun11, you can look small breasts here.

 

@Oshun11: The small bust is pretty new, not sure if anyone has it yet, but there should be no difference in posing to the normal NL girl body, of which I'm sure there are enough owners around (not me, sry, I only have boys from Souldoll so far and about half are hybrids too ^^°)

@hoe-nir: Yes XD Only by constant stalking can you find those already long gone ;P I don't have a lot of limited dolls, but those I own and haven't gotten during their order period all have their unique adventure sotry about getting them 2nd hand XD
BUT! I also have to admit my patience has always paid off and I never paid more for any of the dolls than purchasing them new would have.

Yes, the Vito girls are only announced at this point and I'm crossing my fingers really, really, really hard the first one will be something I like. Especially in terms of body shape. I admit I like the old double one better than the NL ones. It's just an aesthetic that appeals to me more. Also: Better joints in my oppinion.
I'm guessing the Vito girl will be released on 1st April or shortly after, as their recent limited runs were always followed by another special. And they currently have a limited Sweet-girl (Mist, I think she's called) until the end of this month :3

@Snowy, I saw pictures of Vito girl. Freya has pretty face with non ordinary nose and interesting size as I understand, but I wonder what kind of body she will have? One of the version that I saw it's big boobs and tiny waist (like standard 90-60-90).

 

Hey guys! I can't decide between potentially getting Shaun and Joelle! they're both so handsome!

Wondering if anyone here got either of them with their factory makeup? Are you satisfied with the faceup or if you had a choice would you choose to get their face up done elsewhere?

 

I just bought a SoulDoll Joelle head and I'm having a hard time finding measurements for just the head. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Looking for head circumference for wig size and the neck.

Im wondering why my aehael is still not shipped..

 

I got the human head and the animal head, blank, on the animal body. I wasn't able to pick her up until this morning (going in the opposite direction of my job -- I was lucky to make it to work on time!)

She's super cute, and part of me does want to hang on to her, but she was purchased specifically to be an option for a character that ended up being shelled on a centaur body, so she'll be moving on. I got to introduce one of my coworkers to BJDs with her, though, and she thought she was super cool XD

Thank you! You might want to email Souldoll and ask what's causing the delay...I had to do that twice myself, but it at least made them acknowledge me ^^

I am so excited!! I just bought a Shaun off the MP - I'd originally planned on a Joelle D for this character, but seeing a Shaun with NS and no faceup made me instantly think of my boy Grayson! My MNF Nyne is very excited as she has been waiting for him to come home since 2011!!

Well, I ended up not doing a box opening - the weather's been awful and my allergies have been going insane, so I can't really handle dealing with the camera for that long. Here's one of the few decent shots I did get of the Junia-Animal body. Didn't include the antlers, though, sorry!

You sould definitely write to Souldoll. Last time they delayed my order was when they found some dust/dirt or something and needed to clean it up. So maybe this is the case here too. But at least they would give you an estimated time of shipping)

I don't know about Joelle in particular, but the average head size for soul-kids is 6-7' and their neck is around 7,7cm

I've already wrote to Carol Angelesque she "should kick Souldoll a little bit" :-P

 

Yesterday I desided to restring my Aehael, cause she came to me from Souldoll with veeery weak tension and absolutly could't stand.
I could pull out each of her elastic cords for 10 cm and they were diffrent in length. But the main thing that made me mad - a lot of resin crumbs and scobs that fell down to my bed when i took off her legs. ((
I am really upset with all this, since i began making splits with Souldoll dolls in our country, i got 6 dolls, and still waiting for 11.
And 3 from 6 had defects. Two Aehael heads with a piece of resin in mouth (that plases a half of mouth) and Fafner head with defect in nose (Souldoll said that problem was in Fafner's silicone mold and they have to make new mold and then they could give me new head). They promised me heads change but i am still waiting for them ((
For this moment i have 5 their dolls of diffrent years and there are problems only with new dolls (mine and from splits), from end of 2015 until now(

Got a reply. Souldoll already shiiped my order in January.. so she is lost i think.. Carol try to workn ist out. maybe the parcel could be found.. else i have to wait again when a new one would be produced..

Reinameron the strings looks weird.. and bad to hear you good so bad luck so often.. I hope they can work it out

I was looking in DoA marketplace and found Aehael with the same head problems (a pieace of resin in mouth ). I think that centaur heads have a problem

 

It's kind of uncool that they shipped your order so long ago and never informed Carol that they did so! That just leaves her and you wondering when you're ever going to get your stuff...

Honestly, I've been noticing a lot of problems with Souldoll over the past year or so. I ordered a head during their Double discontinuation event and ended up getting the wrong color. They let me keep the head and made the correct one, which was nice, but then I had to chase them down multiple times to actually get them to ship the correct head ._. I ended up having to constantly email them regarding shipping of my Junia, too, because they kept giving me dates that they then missed. It's a shame because they do wonderful work, but as a customer it's frustrating.
