Hidy ho. Just subscribing here, don't mind me. I have a Soulkid Harang head (need to find him a body, any suggestions?) and a SoulKid Apple, named Ringo~

 

I've been thinking about one of these myself and that Sakura is definitely at the top of my list.

 

Btw, Gana in sandy brown was avaliable even at time of boys' sandy brown event, but it wasn't shown like separate item, only as skin colour option.

Haha, I think it's safe for my part, Snowy - I already want so many dolls from Souldoll, I couldn't possibly want any more than I already do ;3
It's 47 seven days, approx, before my Joe.D's done. I try to cheer myself up with thinking that there were actually 70 days to start with, so it's just another ten days before I'm halfway there xD Saw a girl in our Swedish community that got hold of a Shaun (I think it was?) and despite its poseability, the N.L- body is soooo beautiful to look at! I want mine home to stare at xD

 

Hihi! De-lurking with a quick question; have you guys had problems posing the old school bodies? My Apple's knees give out on her near constantly. D:

 

It took me a very long time to order a doll, I have loved them for years but could never commit myself until my son was in college. When the time came I decided that my first doll was going t be a Souldoll. I ended up with Balial, and I am so in love with him. I was even able to get my best friend to order one.

 

@WingedRivers: Don't have one of those, but could the stringing be too loose? Just guessing here, as it sounds as if that could be the problem.

@Xannieh: Congratulations on your purchase -^^-What are your plans for him? What color did you get him?

 

Hi Snowy, Thanks you ! I go him in the Normal Skin tone with the N.L. Body. My plans for him, His name is Libra , a doctor who is also quite adept at piano playing. I'm at the moment trying to get the right wig for him, the one he has is much too long and turned out much too nice to try to cut. I've got another one on it's way that should be more of his hairstyle.

Thank you for catching the etymology of the name! I think it's very pretty, too. A classmate of mine in high school had that name, so that was my inspiration. The fun part is, my doll is from India, not Jordan, but her mother liked the name, perhaps drawing from the Queen of Jordan (haven't worked out that part of the story), and had other daughters with traditional Indian names before Rania was born.

I have the old body too and she can stand, but she definitely buckles too. Good idea with wiring, I think I'll try that! X3

Btw, I don't know if this is on topic, but since they're Soulkids, I might as well try. Souldoll have released two limited Soulkids, the girl Sydeny and the guy Benny. Benny wasn't all that spectacular imo, but I LOVE Sydney! Those lips, the shape of her eyes... woaow OuO ~

indigoparaflax: I love Benny's eyes but cringe at his lips. And right now I just can't stop wondering if Sydney's top closes or Souldoll themselves had a problem clothing the NL body, lol.

 

Anyone have anytips on improving the poseability of the NL bodies? I've tried tightening and suedeing with only minimal results.

Agreeing with kanis04, this tread needs more pictures *.* I'm in love with some sculpt from SD, but sometimes someone elses picture just gives you an extra motivation to buy it

The only reason I'm not spamming pics left and right, is cause I consider the majority of my dolls 'unfinished'. Main pain point are shoes ^^° It's had to find what I want most of the time.

@Snowy: Shoes can be the most difficult item to find, especially if the doll doesn't want to wear chunky soled shoes, like the one below.

Almost all msd shoes from Alice's and similar stores, which origin is http://2079realms.com/, works just fine for NL girl body, especially with socks/stockings.

Hey all, can anyone tell me if souldoll is no longer at Denver doll? I was looking for the soulkids but they seem to have vanished. Sorry if its been asked. :/

 

@Milk Bunny: I think they had a note up around Nov/Dec that they will no longer carry Souldoll unless I'm mistaken. I saw the ad per chance, as I usually don't browse US retailers...

 

that's really too bad. i prefer going through dde to buying direct whenever possible. cailyn/katie came from there long time ago.

Here is my styling project doll ^^ She's Mayu in general body. I just finished her face-up today and I hope that I'll get some sewing done so I could make her one special dress I've been hoping to make for a long time, but never had a doll to make it for ^^

Have you guys seen the latest Soulkid girl? They reeeeally need to change their 'about' in the FAQ section. No way the girls look 6-9 years old, I took her for an SD for a sec back there!xD

 

i never read that before. no way are any of them 6-9 with the breasts they have! cailyn/katie is one of the reasons i started making the msds the adults in my world i just couldn't get her to work as a child, with that figure.

the new sculpt is pretty but i'd need to see it blank before i really decide if i like it or not

I have had Souldoll Kid Lev and Doll Chateau Bella for a few months now, but I was busy with shifting and all and they were left to collect dust. Last night I finally broke them out of their bubble wraps and whatever wraps to play with them a bit. I did a very very simple comparison and had an accidental discovery. Heeah's normal skin colour and Souldoll Kid Lev's normal skin colour is a perfect match! At least to my eyes, and so, I put Lev's head on Heeah's body. Please wait for my next post.

I have been lurking here for a while but never spoke up. All of your dolls look great. It makes me want to share mine.

I have a Soulkid Griffi (I have had her for years). I don't actually think they make her anymore. I hated her body when I first got her (she was on the old body). I have had her on a Dollmore kid body for years, and it worked great, but I wanted her to have a more mature look. So I recently bought her a new souldoll body off the MP and except for a little color difference (easily fixed with a faceup) it works great. I did have to add a layer of hot glue on her inner neck area so that she didn't look like she had a short neck. But I am super excited to have a "new" look for her. She is now my punky teenager. I love it. I will post pictures of her when I have her complete - she needs a new face and we are waiting for her new wig and I need to restring her.

Someone was talking about shoes. I also have a few doll chateau dolls and I have a similar problem with their feet. They are too small for all of my msd shoes and it looks redicilious. But I have a couple of pairs of shoes that came with some goodreau outfits that I got at BJDC a few years back. They fit PERFECTLY! But I am not sure how easy it would be to get them. I will post pictures of them once I have her done too.

 

Even though I follow your Flickr, SmoteyMote, I have to say that your girls are ABSOLUTELY beautiful!

Also, I recieved my boy yesterday and I love him so muuuuuuch~ I'm waiting for some less humidity to give him a face, but he's ridiculously beautiful as he is imo :'3


He's a Soulkid Joelle.D, and he's my post-apocalyptic street rat. A futuristic Artful Dodger. Working on his outfit, but this will do for now :'3

As for me, my Albee, aka Oscar, got his face up - and a massive cut of the wig, so he starts looking like a boy at least XD

I think Souldoll is pretty white, isn't it? I bet it would match, Dollmore has no color at all in their WS, it's just super-white. Only thing is, DMKs are kinda big and chunky. I have Dollmore hands on my Volks MSD girl, and they fit her perfectly. My Souldoll Janne is very slender and delicate, and her feets are tiny. I think the DM parts might be a little big.

 

ooh i didnt think of size at all, figured it was pretty much the same Damnit!

Edit: I guess there might be a forum with where to get fitting ones, soo ill have a look but if u know it would be awesome! ^^
