Body Comparison Souldoll Kids New Double Girl Body vs Fairyland Minifee Renewal A-Line [Img heavy, doll nudity!]

I've been meaning to do this for awhile, and I finally sat down and took a nice big photoshoot comparing my Souldoll Moa.S and minifee Hwayu's bodies!

My Moa.S is on the Soulkids New Double Girl body with the large bust (and animal hands), and my Hwayu is on the Fairyland Minifee New Release Active Line body with the large bust, cutie legs and #3 hands. Neither have been sueded or restrung since I received them.

Beware of doll nudity ahead!


Front and back! Moa is significantly taller and has much wider hips. I prefer Souldoll's sculpting in the back - she's got lovely shoulderblades!




Side views. I would say that Hwayu is a bit easier to stand, although they're both solid standers once you get them positioned correctly.


Kneeling/sitting seiza and touching the face. This is where Souldoll really shines. Hwayu can only kneel partway, while Moa can sit like this quite easily.


They both have good range of motion in the elbows, although for me it's harder to manipulate the minifee joint to get this extreme of a bend. But she's solid in this position once you get her there, where Moa's joints tend to snap into one position or another.


Another pose poor Hwayu can't do! The Souldoll body has a handy thigh joint that can be pulled out to allow her to pull her knees up.


However, I would argue that the Minifee body pulls this one off better. They can both do an elegant side sit, but the Hwayu holds it more easily and looks a bit more natural. I had to fiddle with Moa to get her to stay like this - although it might be different if she were sueded.

This one is a draw. Hwayu can bend her torso quite far back without any gaps (good for lingerie and crop tops!), but she can't quite have her torso flat on the ground like Moa can.


Both can bend and twist quite naturally, however the Souldoll body really can't slouch!

Yes, as long as the material is stretchy. The Souldoll body has a bigger/higher sitting bust and way bigger hips. I have some minifee shorts for her made by Kawaii Berry that fit great but they are VERY hard to get on and off hahaha. In the pic she's wearing a top made for Unoa, a minifee harness (it's all elastic though), and shorts from taobao that were just marked "1/4" (but they're elastic so forgiving in the sizing).

 

Thank you! I had a great time taking these haha. And yeah, the Souldoll body has wonderful mobility, but I think some sueding would help her with actually holding poses, particularly those nice gentle angles that the Minifee body is so good at.

 

I think... I think you might have just nailed the actual theme of my collection!

I will definitely keep it in mind! I hadn't really thought that much about it until I was doing this shoot, but seeing the two bodies compared really highlighted how much the Souldoll body would benefit from some extra friction.

I'd have to say the Dollzone MSD girl body (I have the 016) and the Souldoll! I also really love the engineering of my two Villitunes dolls - they're single jointed but they're so fun and easy to pose. Out of my big dolls, my Peakswoods FOC is my favorite poser, but she doesn't have the flexibility the Dollzone and Souldolls MSDs have.
