Soul Doll Tera Zenith Discussion Pt. 1

I really like his blue outfit, wish they sold it separately in Zenith size.

Overall I really like the body compared to normal Zenith. Something about the anatomy of the old Zenith body was really off putting to me, he looks more natural. But 75cm is really big, and that would stop me from getting one.

 

I want him soooo bad >__< If only I wasn't completely broke I'd get him without thinking twice. But seeing as this line doesn't seem to be limited, I hope I'll get one next year. I need that delicious body in Sandy Brown *_____*

 

Yeah, it's the sandy brown resin that will be limited. They do this a lot with their dolls, debut them in a tan, then a month or so later, that option is gone forever. Or until they do some special deal... I really wanted this guy in that sandy brown, so did the lay away too. I went for the style 1 outfit as it suits my guy(s) better. He may just lounge around with that shirt open all the time!

Sandy brown, tan... they did it with the dark brown/tan guys and gals a few years ago. They offer the tan as long as they can, then they stop due to the weather or whatever. So the sculpt itself is not limited, but they don't really tell you anywhere that anything other than "normal" and "white" will be limited. That's just learned from experience.
But they have been offering that sandy brown a lot more often these days. So there is hope he would be offered again. Just like the Vito guys recently. You just never know what they'll do.

 

Wow, he is finely built haha. Soul Dolls are so pretty, it's the complete worst. My wallet cannot handle it! But I'm so glad they released this sculpt. I was actually thinking about buying another boy to tower my current doll, but I knew most BJDs had a max height of about 70cm. I'm pretty excited for the Tera line! That skin tone is also lovely.... this may be bad for my wallet afterall.

Edit: I just stared at all the photos for the body and I'm cracking up because it's so beautiful and that tush is amazing. It brings me great joy.

 

Thanks for making a Tera thread Tiku, I think separating regular Zeniths is a good idea as I want to share links / hear tips of some places where to get nice stuff for Tera Zeniths and it's confusing to others if they have much smaller boys and so different measurements eheh.. If it turns out that we have many dead threads later, we can add all Zeniths back to only one thread But I feel guilty if I ignore normal Zenith boys there haha, but they aren't my thing at all anymore......

And haaaa, not an expert by any means, just been keeping an eye on them for a long time. But who knows? They might choose this release to start offering sandy brown all the time! You just never know.
And actually, the SoulDoll centaur came out loooong before the Luts or Soom ones. ~_^ I want to say 2008? A good, long time ago.

I think it's so great that they offered the free clothes since he's the first of a new size. I wish all doll companies did that! And even a choice of clothes, not just one outfit.

 

@Lady Tiku That tush is just too awesome that I was feeling unsure about it. What would happen if I put clothes on him? Would he look great or would he have a bubble butt? But now that you mention flat bums, he would look so good in pants regardless. That layaway is so tempting though.

@Adalwolf Those hands are so cool! I hope they'll make claw/demon hands for them. Do you happen to know if you can stick the Zenith heads onto the Tera-Zenith bodies? There was a comparison photo on the site and the head on the Zenith body looked weirdly small compared to the Tera head.

Like Sillypeach I wish his Ver.2 outfit could be bought separately, oh well, maybe with tax returns I could get him? (he looks so much like a character of mine)

As far as I can read, the Sandy Brown option is not limited. Only the free outfits.
I'd love to order him, but I seriously have no money atm. ;^; But he will be mine someday

 

Hm, maybe? I suppose it's worth a try, if not then I could always make a wtb thread here on doa. I'm sure someone might want extra money after spending a bunch buying their handsome boy

 

@Lady Tiku I hope everything settles down for you. Aw darn. I was hoping I can just stick a head on that glrious titan body hqhq. I think I'll wait off on the body for a bit. I got my eye on something else and I've been shopping wayy too much this past month. Hopefully I can scrounge money for him when the time comes. I can't wait for the personal photos though!

No problem! I'm such a stalker but I think the sculptors don't mind if we link them here and compliment their works XD Kind of advertising? I really like the body bits too, but they most likely are not going to sell them separately I think :/ I'd have loved the hand parts!

Yeah~ Maybe we can suggest them a demon boy/or girl? Elegant long nail hands, YES! And I'm pretty sure that normal Zenith head is not very suitable to Tera body as I had two male Zenith boys years ago, Kagel and Chiron and their heads were small, like 8-9inch wig was far too big, I almost had to buy MSD sized wigs for them and also their faces were smaller than my other SD dolls had.. My Soom Dia looked like bobble head next to them and my Iplehouse EID man arvid had almost gigantic balloon head effect next to Kagel which was his boyfriend XD I gave up and sold them both.. I don't care if a girl dolls have smaller heads but it really bothered me that my other guys looked ridiculous next to them. So.... if the Tera head is like Iplehouse EID size, the head swap could look ridiculous..

I like the Xavier one, it sounds somehow royal and elegant My boy is Eemil Oliver Antton XD

 

@Adalwolf We should suggest it to them! I think Soul Doll does pretty well with fantasy-like characters. A demon with some demon hands should be cake. That is so weird that their Zenith male heads are so tiny! I was just eyeballing J.Issac because I thought he would be perfect for another doll. I'm looking at the page and it says it's slightly bigger than the doll I'm thinking of. It'd be really awkward if he had a tiny head compared to the other doll haha. The head swap will seriously make him look ridiculous. I do wish there was a tall, lanky body though. As much as I love those abs that can grate cheese, I do prefer height.

The background / dark atmosphere /shadows make Scott look darker but Oscal looks lighter because.. light atmosphere, editing, camera settings, light colored clothing, daylight etc etc you know ? They look exactly the same in my opinion but Scott's pics are darker and photoshopped a bit too. Oscal IS sandy brown in every single pic Souldoll put there, there's no pics of NS or WS at all.

@Lady Tiku Ah, sorry to hear that :/ It's also a bit sad that the outfit will only be available during the event time, would've been great if it was available after that as well... It'll probably be quite hard to find clothes that fit these boys, so some basic clothes would definitely be appreciated! (Maybe Iplehouse's EID clothes would fit and you could find a cool coat from their selection?)

I was looking at that jacket, @Lady Tiku , and if we can find that sort of fabric locally, we could make that jacket or something close to it. ^_^ The edges haven't even been sewn down or anything, just cut. The only sewing is to make pieces stay together. I think we could do that! ^__^ Just gotta find some fabric like that, with the sherling stuff on one side and fabric on the other.

Yes, of course ~ The spam will be wild! xD I will make a box opening thread and link it here then.. and of course custom faceup pics as well. I'm looking forward to paint him asap as I guess Eemil will be one of the first customized Oscals. I usually search some faceup pictures before I order a new doll so I could be sure about my decision but this way it's 100 times more exciting dhjsahjashjhs!

Now I have gathered him maybe 5-6 different shirt fabrics for nice casual look and one for long sleeve shirt.. and real jeans-fabric for denim style jeans XD and then I need cute warm clothing as it's winter here. I have one light brown outer jacket from Iple, but I have no idea how it fits then, I hope the sleeves aren't too short >.<

I'm trying to squeeze his feet inside Luts SSDF shoes as I found some pretty nice camel colored casual shoes which are not ridiculous gothic boots with super high heels spiky rivets lol, ugh.. the inner size is 9.5 and Oscal's feet 9.1 so eh.. we'll see!

I ordered him Makoeyes 14mm eyes because Souldoll said that 12mm is very very small.. I use 12mm usually so I will make eye review as well because I always prefer 12mm as long as you can't see inside the head haha (corners) xD

Hello tera zenith lovers. I would like to thank my amazing family for gifting me my first SD tera zenith scott. I wish everyone a very merry christmas and a happy new year!

 

I just have to ask since I haven't been able to figure this out on my own

So Oscal looks amazing. And I'm in troubble because the sculpt would fit an idea I have for making a doll version this one fantasy book character I really like... However, what I can't figure out is if it is possible to purchase this doll as a blank doll with no makeup or any extras. Does anyone know if he is available as a blank doll by any chance?

Yes my family is really awesome, they saved up for full payment for my christmas gift. I got the outfit and the boots. I didn't get the wig or the faceup because I have wigs and the shipping ate up the rest lol. I'm just happy he won't be naked or bare foot

I was wondering if maybe someone had any jointed hands that they could recommend for me to get him? I really wanted to get him some hands and clothes before all the holiday event sales were over.

 

@LadyTiku; I must have read every single page in this forum about jointed hands I realize that oscal is the first of his kind, I assumed that I could try to make a match by comparing jointed hands to other 70cm-80cm sized dolls, it looks like Dollzone might be compatible? I decided not to rush into it.

Congratulations! I loved the sandy brown color but I didn't want to wait another 3-4 weeks for the color and the faceup. I could barely stand the idea of waiting to get my Scott home I really admire your patience!
