I feel like I'm going to be waiting a very very long time for mine, since I ordered two. But I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone else's when they arrive!

My Raon shipped today.
Now in for a rough 10-15 day wait for delivery.
Still curious if they remembered to ship him without the box and cushion.
(I asked for disassembled shipment, since those big boxes manage to trigger our customs to keep them in forever... I hope everything goes smooth)

 

Oh wow @Grim Fandango, thats both exciting and nerve wracking. I'm not familiar with Soom's customer service, but that sounds like a simple request to make. Hopefully you'll see your Raon soon.

Anyone here who ordered a SGM in the recent FCE and has received their shipping notice already? I only paid him off in July but I'm already checking daily...

 

My Baby Puss & Boots came today! For my first Soom, I'm extremely pleased! He is a tan color and I can't find any seams, marbling, or any defects. Gosh, I love this little guy! I'll do a box opening.

 

I just made my first payment today on Sard! He will be on a 4 month layaway n.n he is perfection!

 

@overlordu I got a Sard! xD And it hurts so bad... He's on layaway with Angela_Valentien's boy.

He's white skin with the special head only and a face up. I also got the outfit, the incubus parts with all the body blushing(no human legs cause it's an extra $80 ), the glossy plain horns because they're amazing, even though he's coming with the black ones. Soom didn't let me change them, so I had to order them extra. -_- And then his outfit. Ugh... that outfit is super expensive. And I think they're milking this Sard for all he's worth, with those prices.

Yes, congrats on all the Sard orders! I thought about getting him (that special head is amazing), but I think I'm just going to order the outfit + horns on their own. I very much look forward to seeing owner pictures.

...In other news, my Raon twins are stuck at 'origin post is preparing shipment', despite having reached JFK (NYC) three days ago according to Korea EMS. Please arrive soon!

@Angela_Valentine thank yoy! Iasked them about gray, but they refused fantasy colors. So I choose norman, because white or tawny aren't fit the character at all...

 

I wish they would allow grey skin for all free choice orders. They did it for the girls last. It's not fair Though Normal Skin will look nice for your boy

My FCE boy shipped!
As did my sister's He had a face-up and was ordered at a later date so I thought he might be delayed - but nope! Both on their way.

I picked out a Crow with an Isha body in tawny and she couldn't pass up the tawny Mad Hatter (she has their Red Riding Hood - so they're gonna be so cute together!).

I chose to get him in Normal skin, just the human doll with a basic Sard head with the faceup. pluss I also ordered the black wig for him.

It was really hard to decide color for him, grey was super tempting for me also, but it felt safer for me to chose NS.

Iam super exited to see pictures when they begin to arrive, so I hope people will post

 

Hello everyone, I'm currently waiting on my very first doll. I've always loved Soom, and I finally was able to get my first bjd. I ordered an Isha body with the flame sword head in the last free choice event [I didn't care for the horn on the Isha head]. I'm really excited for my first doll, at this point i've got everything but eyes picked out for him. He's all paid off, just waiting for him to ship out at this point.

Need to vent a little! So, lol, I didn't realize Soom's Post-MD event was such a s@$t-show. I may or may not be waiting on a Cheshire. I asked them to confirm payment as a round-about way of asking to confirm my order, and all I got was a "we need to check if it is a duplicate". So now, I've got a "payment confirmed" email but no definitive word about if my order will stick, and I probably won't hear anything until next week. I can only guess they're taking the airline approach of receiving payment and then cancelling oversold orders at their discretion. If they are waiting on others to make payment, then I can only assume my order came in too late to be guaranteed one of the available dolls. I would have hoped they would have canceled duplicate orders after they were made, not after payment came through. Now I have to get strung along!:/ First and last time taking part in this type of event from Soom.

 

@Kimchi Wow I didnt know that was even a thing, I really hope it goes through for you though! Cheshire is a really pretty boy. I got lucky I suppose on the last event, but I also camped the page for the event to go live >>; Best of luck!

 

I did camp the page... The Cheshires were literally sold out within minutes of it going live. I'm really mostly pissed about how the CS agent has chosen to handle this. They should have gotten confirmation from whoever handles orders before they got back to me. There is clearly a major disconnect somewhere in the system - I really should not be getting all these emails that would make me think my order is fine if it isn't. I mean, I'm assuming the person managing orders is responsible for removing duplicate orders. In that case, my order should have been canceled right away. So then, is there someone specifically in charge of accounting who just deals with the money and confirmation emails and not stock? Then why the heck aren't those people communicating? When did they plan on checking on duplicate orders since they clearly knew these were a possibility? I just feel like this should have been dealt with before 5pm on a Friday...

Congrats! I'm still waiting for my Witch + her dress. Since someone alrealdy got their Baby Puss in Boots (which was released after Witch/Albin) I had hoped that Soom would have sped up their manufacturing process, but... nada. I'm now at 2 months and two weeks.

 

I just pre-ordered a limited edition of Cheshire Jr ! The surprise head was my grail doll (even if I'm not in the hobby since a long time ago…) so I'm really, really happy ! Now I have to save some money for the face-up.

 

Cripes, I can finally confirm that I am waiting on a Post-MD Cheshire. I must have drawn a lucky straw in the customer service game, because I finally got someone helpful answer my most recent inquiry. Supposedly, my kitty is shipping out today. That said, the interim between paying and waiting for shipping would have been much more enjoyable if I had actually known I was getting my boy for sure!

 

My Witch shipped a few days ago I'm absolutely certain that she'll get stuck in customs (as all my bigger dolls did), but I don't caaaaaaare - Soom shipped her a week earlier than expected, that' all that matters.

I had never added my Sard layaway to the list, but I just did! I'm anxious for him too! Maybe for Christmas?

Forgot to put myself on the waiting list until today, but I ordered Sard back in late Uugust! Hoping to have the funds to make the last layaway payment a little early but we'll see.

 

Sooo...is there a proper list somewhere? I keep seeing references to it but no info on where said list is. I checked the first post in the thread, but didn’t see anything. ^_^;

I purchased my Soom CW Petit Gem Rudy today Such excite!!

 

Ordered a grey Rudy yesterday evening too I wasn't a fan of the tawny (? or bronze) one they released initially, but grey... ungh. Couldn't say no.

 

Uh... Just waiting for my FCE Twany Crow to ship now. I keep hoping it's any day now.

Just ordered a Rudy :'D I'm so excited, this is my first time ordering from Soom. I really wanted a tan Rudy, but didn't find out about her until after the preorder was already finished, so I've been stalking them since then hoping they'd release Rudy again.

What are the average wait times for Soom these days? I have her on a three month layaway (I basically got a fullset, faceup, body blush, eyes, outfit) so I'm hoping she'll be ready to go by the time the layaway is paid up, lol.

 

Their waiting time is still at 3 months
As far as I know Soom only starts with making dolls after the layaway is complete? Some Waiting List entries at least seem to suggest that (like "LA Jan 30; paid in full Mar 16; shipped JUL 14" or "LA Mar 30 paid in full May 25 / shipped July 26 / arrived Aug 07"). Some others were also shipped right after the last payment was made or after the regular 3 month waiting time, so maybe its a 50/50 chance.

 

Thanks for letting me know! Some companies stipulate that the doll goes into production as soon as they receive the first payment, but I couldn't find any info about that on Soom's website at all. I guess it'll be a fun surprise to find out when it'll be ready ;p I'm not too worried either way.
