That's the beauty of dolls, innit? They seem to have endless amounts of patience. What kind of outfit aesthetics are you considering for him?

 

He needs to be as fancy as his wife! I should get a decent picture of her but she's my Soom Garyl (Galena head/Beryl body) from the Super Gem Free Choice event back in 2012. She's 11 years old and FINALLY has her husband!

But I'm looking for something with a warm palette if possible and positively dripping with bling! Would you have any recommendations?

I've been having a similar dilemma looking for decent clothes that I can be sure will fit this bulky son-of-a's body. SophieToyParadise on Etsy seems like a sssomewhat decent taobao dealer and a straightforward enough proxy for getting clothes custom-sized. They have aesthetics that I like (and some seriously dripping-with-bling stuff!) but I'm not sure about their reputation.

 

I can say I’ve bought from Sophie a couple times before and had a gorgeous dress custom sized for my Unoa Elder Sister! Thank you for reminding me about her shop!

Curious if anyone who has already received their Sard ordered in Bronze? I figured it highly likely they might be the latter to ship, lol. Still trying to wait patiently for mine~

 

Mine is PW, unfortunately. I couldn't afford the bronze.

 

I got my bronze Sard near the beginning of September! I got the tongue head and human body with no makeup or extras, if that helps.

 

My Sard that is in transit to me is Bronze!
If it helps, I did a 4 month layaway and my order was for Bronze Sard with both heads, human body and fantasy legs, white horns, no makeup, and he just shipped out on the 27th of Sept.

I actually have been wanting Sard since his first initial release, and it was tight timing, lol, but I knew I absolutely would regret not getting him in Bronze. However, I had suspected his release since last year when they started the anniversary re-releases! I still contemplated all my choices, though. Even tried to talk myself into PW!

 

My Sard showed up today! Wow his bronze is beautiful!! I'm in love with the midsummer head, the pearlescent shine of the horns are gorgeous, and the clawed hands' nails are so majestic. I can't wait to get this Demon King of mine customized & dressed. Hope those of you waiting see yours soon!

I got a shipment confirmation from Soom today too. I ordered and paid in full on the first day he was available (July 6th?). Ordered both heads in NS, unpainted, jointed hands, and beast parts.

My tracking number doesn't work though. This is odd for Soom since I usually get my dolls within 3-5 days of getting my tracking number from them.

 

My Sard arrived yesterday, completely without fanfare, while I was at work. But he's home! And he's so gorgeous, I cannot even! * _ *

 

Yea I was given my tracking and it hasn't updated at all. Just keeps saying no details yet.

 

Mine was delivered yesterday. I did contact them after waiting for 3 days. They said there was a backlog with the post office due to the holidays.

 

Alright, I'm in here yet again! Just put in a PIF order for a Dream Hour Shall (boy) in that pretty Rose Pink resin! Got him with all resin parts including both heads, face up for both.

He is already giving me hints that he wants to be goth, lol. I think he'd looks so cute with that pink resin and wearing goth or punk.

 

I have a girl in very pink resin who also insisted on being goth. It looks so good! I highly recommend this color combo and can’t wait to see your Shale!

 

That's awesome! There is a strong possibility that I may end up going pastel goth with him too, but I seriously think the black and pink will be cute together. I've also NEVER owned a pink resin doll before, so I'm even more excited for him now.

My Shonki Sweet Dream Carnival that I ordered back in August has shipped! That was quicker than I'd expected.

I am so excited, the first BJD I ever saw and thought that it was hopeless to get is the monthly doll, I had told my family years ago if he ever came up again I was running straight to the bank to get that money from my savings and get him outright. He has been my only so called holy grail doll since the very beginning of my time in the hobby! I just found out that it was my sixth anniversary here on DOA, so for six years I have been waiting for this doll to pop up for sale on Soom again.

My twany Raphie/Velio that ordered back in July shipped on Christmas day and had arrived to me on the 28th of December! I was absolutely shocked at how fast he arrived ocne he shipped! I hadn't even been tracking him because I thought it would be slow due to the holidays.

 

My Garion has shipped! I'm so excited to get to hold my second big boy!

 

I've just got to make the last layaway payment. Absolutely could not resist Yarn & Silky.

So I received my Raphie/Velio recently and realized I hadn't gotten the enchanted opal eyes I had ordered with it. I contacted Soom and told them, saying that I'd either still like to receive them if they have any left, or that I would like a refund. They responded and said that the eyes had indeed been left out by mistake that they would ship them out... with an order... that is scheduled to ship in about two weeks.

No freaking way! The order number they provided is for my pink Shall! I am so ecstatic and in disbelief. I thought the earliest I would see him is mid to late March as that is when his 100 business day would hit. I placed his order back on 10/27/23. I feel like this is the fastest I've gotten a Soom order in a long time. I'm so excited for him because he's so lovely and he'll be the first pink resin doll I've ever owned. I'm just glad I am so excited about him that I have already started ordering things for him. But at this rate, he may arrive before the other stuff does!

 

Hello everyone I’ve always liked soom ID75 dolls , how long does it take to be shipped if ordered with face up?

 

It depends on the artist, but blank dolls ship anytime up to 100 days (the latest Hyperon shipped out at 39 days, but some have been a lot slower depending on order quantity), and an extra 100 days is to be added if a faceup is added. So it's a total of up to 200 calendar days.

My artist version Phonolus shipped out recently after about 160 calendar days, but I believe the non artist versions can be faster.

Depends on how you paid for the doll. Soom will start work on your order when it has been paid in full. So if you paid in full, you should receive it within 100 Korean business days, as they have a 100 business day guarantee. If you did a layaway however, they don't start the order until it's been paid off. So you can expect a longer wait time if you've done a layaway, adding anywhere up to 100 business days to that layaway time.

As an example, my pink Shall was PIF on O10/27/23 with a face up. Soom told me his order should ship any time now. They had forgotten a pair of eyes from another order and said they would include them in my Shall's order and gave me an estimate of when the order would ship. I wasn't expecting my Shall to ship until mid to late March at the latest as that's when he'd hit the 100 business day.

 

SOOM doesn't operate off business days, their 100 day guarantee is based on calendar days.

But you are correct that they don't start until layaways are paid off in full.

 

I’m always wondering about the 75 body they have , do they have only one version of that body? Does the body has detachable private parts?

 

They previously sold the ID72, which was shorter and looked different, however it has now been discontinued. There is only one version of the 75. It is not detachable.

 

They must have changed that policy, because I swear it use to not count weekends and holidays.

 

I am thinking I have to try and call the Jamaica NY International Distribution Center tomorrow. My doll has been stuck for over 15 days without any updates. I already called customs and they said that there was no problem with the fees or the paperwork. That it was just sitting in Jamaica NY after having arrived there. The only information I have is that it arrived. It doesn't look as if it was processed yet, and when I called USPS, they told me it could take 45 days before I can do anything about it. It was shipped Priority Mail Express International, so it shouldn't be just sitting. I can't think of anything else to do but call Jamaica and see what is going on. I am very sad because I just want my doll, an update or anything would be nice.

My package just shipped out not too long ago with also Priority Mail Express International. It was "Inbound Into Customs" and remained there before moving to "Inbound Out of Customs". I am expecting to get it in the next few days, though we can only hope as i have been hearing people getting their packages stuck even though they are outbound for some reason..not sure why your package is stuck esp if customs says it's okay! I have had packages stuck at customs for up to a month but it doesnt seem to be the case for you...but I hope you get your package soon!

I sometimes will submit a missing mail request if my package is not moving, maybe you can try that? Once I submit it it usually starts moving again lol.

 

Soom just opened MD orders what does it mean ? Do they do this regularly and list random dolls ? Or its a monthly thing? as I searched for the doll that i want but its not listed.

 

They're basically in stock sales either from cancelled orders or whatnot. Soom idealians have no set schedule, all dolls and events are released arbitrarily whenever they feel like it. This sale only had 4 dolls, they were all sold within the first few minutes.

When I contacted the postal service they told me to get in touch with the seller for missing mail inquiry. I left a message on Soom Q&A and hopefully an inquiry into the package will get it moving again. The postal worker admitted that it shouldn't have been taking that long in Jamaica. I am hoping that I see a movement in the tracking soon.

I have had a package stuck in the NY customs before for quite a while, if it's any consolation.

 

I just got shipping notification for my pink Shall! I’m so excited! He’s the first pink resin doll I’ve ever owned. And the last doll I ordered from Soom shipped at the end of December and arrived crazy fast, so I’m hoping shipping won’t take too long.

Oh you really should! Just look at it this way, you can always wipe it and change it if you don't like the way it came out. But, it is so much fun to do their face-ups!

 

He is here!! I can't believe it. After I left the inquiry with Soom they contacted Korean Post, and then the Korean Post got in touch with the U.S. post, then I had to fill out paperwork for an international investigation. Then I heard nothing. Then I got a text this morning that he was out for delivery!!!


I still have to do face-up and body blush and hope it comes out nicely, but, just a brief picture of him before he left the box:

My pink Shall FINALLY arrived last night! He was stuck in US customs for a few days, which is slightly common but mostly annoying. His pink is a little less vibrant than I was expecting, but I still love him!

 

Back here again! Not only did I forget to update that I recieved my LV Turb/Roxen back on 03/06 (went on a small vacation the next day, so didn't have the time to open her when she arrived), but now I am waiting on a BR Ray/Luna that I was able to snag last night. Got her with all resin parts, face up, and body blushing. This will be the first red resin doll I will have owned!

 

So ahh, anyone else in here going to be waiting on the Draco Lux/Volo? Because I happen to win a raffle for one of the Volos! So I'll be waiting on that in addition to my BR Ray/Luna.

First time posting here and I just wanted to say that I received my tracking number for my Gluino I finished layaway on earlier this year!

He is my first lad from Soom's Idealian line. I'm excited for him to finally come home!
