Ohhh that purple! It looks gorgeous!

I have Beryl in 3 skin tones, but I always told my husband that a purple Beryl was not something I would be asking to buy. She was coming home one way or another! (We like to talk over larger purchases and take a look at our budget, and quite frankly he always tells me to go for it anyway lol).

I'm just getting so impatient I feel like I have been waiting forever, even though it's only been a few months!

 

LiselT, I think you should be getting your notice any day now.

I ordered her almost as soon as she went up. I got her with face paint, but not with hoof paint.

My husband also knew that there was going to be no talking me out of a purple Beryl. I love the Beryls.

 

Got my shipping notice this evening! I'd paid her off fully mid-September, so having a turnaround time just shy of 2 months was unexpected! Especially since I got the fullset + faceup and body blush too (she was the first bjd i'd preordered).

 

I just got my Beryl on Monday! I was so happy, I had the day off so I could open her right away!

 

Just got a shipping notice today for my big Chester boy and my wife's Cheshire little gem that we ordered at the same time! They're too big to fit in one box, so they had to be sent separately, but they're on the way at least!

 

I just got a shipping notice for my Glot/Glati Teeny in Violet skin. I got the human version Can’t wait to get her!

 

I received my Beryl last Monday and I am just utterly in love. She is perfect and I am so glad I held out hope for so long!

LiselT, she is gorgeous! Aren't you just so glad that you sprung for it and had Soom paint her? I think they did such a beautiful job on the Beryls.

 

@Cat ^..^ I am! I think I might add a bit more shimmer to the gold parts and a little to her face with some Pearl Ex pigments to make it really pop. I am working on her wig right now too.

 

I was going to add gold flake to her horns and toes (If I ever get around to it. )

Lility is going to be amazing when she is done.

I got my replacement Narmer head earlier this week. Here's a pic of the recalled head vs the replacement head.

 

Entering the waiting room ^3^ ordered Soom Tuff & Sueve, my first ever 1/4th doll was waiting for her to rerelease, so I was beyond happy when it happened (on my birthday, at that!)
Already started shopping for her accessories and will try to get faceup scheduled with an artist as quickly as possible~ first doll in over a year!

 

One more Soom boy coming here.
I decided to get Void in dark grey skin. He might be the only doll purchase this year, but totally worth it. I have been wanting Idealian boy in grey skin. ​

 

It seems like there are not a lot of updates on Soom wait times these days, so I thought I'd drop in and mention that Nephelin orders from August are moving now. My split host's order arrived this week, so I'll get my grail Soom body here shortly!

Hopefully that helps if anyone's waiting for her. I know it's useful for figuring out how much longer it'll be before you start seeing subsequent monthly dolls, too, so there you go!

 

I got my petit gem Ranho in mango earlier this month. (I forgot about it... an yelled for my hub if he was expecting a package cuz I didn't order anything )

The color is really pretty in person. I'm excited to paint them. ( I haven't decided the characters gender yet) I don't have much free time at the moment so may be a while but I will try to share pictures when I do!
I'm thinking maybe a Lil lava leopard or lightning tiger. (Leaning towards lava but we shall see...) can't wait to break out the airbrush and work on it. Spring break please come quickly!

I finally got my own Narmer after waiting forever for soom idealian to release him after i missed out out on his other version. I ordered him in August of last year and he finally arrived in February. Because of my busy work schedule I was unable to share pics of him here earlier. So here he is ❤️


Still in process of getting him better clothes and maybe later his faceup. I feel this one makes him look depressed

 

I just ordered my first order from Soom, the new Sard Eulogistic Honor, full set!! I just can't wait, he is so gorgeous and one of my grails!!

I decided on bronze!! It was a tough decision though! I love a stark white but that bronze… I couldn’t let go! I got both heads too. What about you?

 

Nice bronze is so gorgeous!!! I did Peony White—I have the character’s sibling shelled and she’s a similar shade of pale haha!

also did both heads, because the head with the tongue out is such a fun expression, and I can’t resist the chance to paint the second head.

 

I've just ordered my sard in bronze with both heads! I'm so happy that they brought him back!

My Soom Tuff & Sueve from January 3rd shipped yesterday! That was a 4 months wait, a bit longer than anticipated but I paid in 2 installments and it appears to be 3 months almost on the dot from the last installment. Hope she flies to me

I picked up my Tuff/Sueve from the post office today - she arrived yesterday so it took her exactly a week to travel from South Korea to Canada~ that was such a pleasant surprise. She's a blank cutie for now and the artist I like is closed until August >u< so I'll just be gathering clothes, eyes, and a wig for her in the meantime I'm just happy she's home

 

I know I keep posting but I'm just so excited! Sard is now on "preparing shipment"!

If anyone has a layaway in progress, Soom announced yesterday that they are discontinuing PayPal at 9am on the 13th of June (Korean time). I just paid my Taco/Dolomi layaway off early to avoid having to deal with one of their other payment methods, because my bank likes to block my card when I purchase things from Asia, even though I do it often.

Thanks for the heads-up! I also paid my layaway early to avoid losing PayPal access!

 

Wow, y'all really weren't kidding about paying Soom without Paypal being deeply annoying. Just had three payments in a row declined and my financial institution almost tried to deactivate my card!

Apparently the payment processing company sets off the financial institution's yellow flags and they won't approve the charge without the cardholder talking to a person either over the phone or at the bank/credit union. Calling your financial place first seems to be the safest way to proceed. Good luck everybody! and I hope to join this waiting room soon.

 

I had similar issue; I am an American and currently live in japan; they kept denying me as well because of the issuing card not matching my network access location. Got around this with a vpn successfully but not before a couple days of panic.

 

Woke up today to 5 different people having messaged me that Soom has opened orders for Garion. I didn't even get out of bed before placing an order for a NS one with two heads. I have a WS Garion, but I always preferred a NS one. I was unsuccessful finding one 2nd hand, so I sort of settled for the WS one last month. I joked around saying that if I buy this now, Soom will certainly rerelease a NS Garion next month. And here we are.

I ordered him blank and with full payment, so I hope he might ship before winter (and I hope Soom is not in the habit of cancelling already paid orders if they notice it has sold too fast - considering that last month's Hyperon too sold out in just hours if I recall right).

 

It is taking all of my self-control to not type this in all caps. I just got my first layaway payment for Garion paid off. He's my grail of all grails and I think I might cry for happiness because human head and normal skin is what I wanted and it's what I'm getting.

 

I bit the bullet and started a layaway for Raphie/Velio last night. I'm happy I was able to snag one in Twany (they sold out first night but they reopened the order the next day), as they are a smaller version of the Crow they released some time ago, which I also have in Twany. So this will either be a son or little brother to my Crow. Now for the wait.

 

Soom has resumed accepting PayPal, but not for layaway currently, and also they charge a 1.5% fee for PayPal now. If you cancel your order, you get charged additional fees. It seems the issue was PayPal being too expensive for them as a payment processor.

 

I just ordered Roben and paid with Paypal. The current Eximbay payment processing they use in the website, that the Paypal goes through, took me around 45euros on top of the doll price & shipping & Paypal fee of 1.5% that was listed on the website. It might be because of the exchange rate or something. Normally Paypal let's me choose the exchange rate which is used, but as the Paypal payment went through Eximbay processing it was slightly different. Not a huge fan of that, but at least Paypal option is back.

 

I just ordered Shonki Sweet Dream Carnival. Opted to pay with credit card. It also went through Eximbay but it let me choose what currency I wanted to pay with and there were no other additional fees.

 

That's good to know, I might try credit card option next time just to see if it let's me choose the currency there or just choose the doll in USD in the website.

Now I chose the euro payment from the Soom website, but Paypal forced me to pay in USD, which was not the case before Eximbay processing.

 

Hehe, did that too like a few days ago. Opted against Paypal too in the end, which I feel is better for me. This cutie is definitely one I know what I'm gonna do with.

 

I ordered Hwain and Ender, also spilt with others that I just want a Garion head.

I don't think I have ever been quite this excited for a doll until now. Ordered the LE unicorn Adonis in peony white and I am so restless, out here kicking my feet and giggling. He is the most utterly perfect doll for a character I've wanted to shell for ages now (since I first joined the hobby almost a decade ago) yet never found the perfect match until this release. He will be my first male BJD as well! How on earth do you people make the agonizing wait go any faster??

 

The agonizing wait is SO HARD. I was checking daily on my Sard for a while, no lie. I tried really hard to find other things to do in the meantime and it kinda helped? I got mine blank so I was busy looking for outfits, a wig, etc.

 

I feel I'm going to explode! There's so much I wanna prepare for this guy. Maybe that will keep me busy at the least. Windowshopping for clothes and wigs and all that.

 

Literally me checking everyday and here to see who's Sard is shipping out...I finally stopped looking and just got my email today! He's on his way

 

YAAAAY Congratulations! I’m struggling to find an outfit for mine and now that the weather has gotten wet, he may have to wait a while for a faceup. I’m sure he’ll be patient… right?
