I'm already working on his face up and am planning on giving him a couple of music note tattoos.

 

Soom just shipped my Zak! I am so excited to see him in person!! It's perfect timing since I just received his eyes.

 

Did anyone order Ender? (ﾟοﾟ人)
I ordered him last month and I saw recently that the order status is "preparing shipment"... Soom isn't that fast right?

 

Preparing shipment is the status they use once your doll is in production! It'll say that until they ship it. My Cheshire Jr. (~Dec. 25) didn't ship out until Mar. 28 (so in total, it took around 3 months).

 

Ah, I see! I was about to say, that's amazingly fast lol. Thank goodness, I need some time to get his outfit and wig together (･o･

 

Zak arrived yesterday! I haven't had the time to open his box yet though. I hope I'll have some spare time later today to take care of that.

 

Waiting for petite gem Julie. So happy, as she’s been on my wishlist for quite awhile. Got her with all her parts. Her name will be Isabelle as she reminds me of Isabelle in Animal Crossing.

I completely forgot to post in here when I did it, but I ordered ID75 Ender at the very beginning of the month with a 4 month layaway plan. All set to pay the second chunk soon. Kinda nervous because he's absolutely massive, a solid 10cm taller than my largest guy and way thicker, but I couldn't say no to the SP face. Funny thing about it though, I'd just run across the old Devil Hunter Ender page a couple of days before the preorder and was all "wow he's amazing, they'll probably never re-release him" and then... ~

 

I just ordered Soom Nor & dune Jr, my budget doesn't allow me to buy the fullset and both heads I had a hard time deciding for the OE or romantic head. Is anyone else getting this cutie?

After resisting the last two availability periods, I just ordered myself an Ondiin from the free choice event. (No mixing and matching, it's all Ondiin parts, the sculpt makes me think of a cute little cat dragon!)

 

I'm seeing myself in--Garion is officially the first Soom Doll I've bought from Soom directly.

 

i never thought i'd be here for this but... i cracked and got a garion. there's no way i could afford the secondhand prices for the original red version i fell in love with (and i doubt soom would ever make more in that color without being severely limited or cost like $3k), but i've seen this sculpt in person and confirmed his face alone is worth it in any color. boy's got a profile to die for lol

@Chameleon congrats to you too, cheers to waiting on our boys! part of my decision was soom seems to be keeping decent-ish wait times, i'm already staring down 8-10 month waits for everything else i've ordered this year, here's hoping soom won't be one of them

@Chameleon omg oh no, dollshe best of luck with your wait! i'm 6 months in on my dollzone order and 2 months in on a dream valley order, it'll certainly be interesting to see who the heck shows up first.

 

Oof yep. I’ve done the Dollzone wait before too. Best of luck! It seems like Soom, Iplehouse and Resinsoul are the only places that I can think of that ship relatively fast!

Hello all! I also ordered a Garion on Saturday I put him on layaway, but I checked the FAQ and saw that they start making the dolls after they're paid off, so I'll probably pay him off ASAP haha.

Also I just paid off my layaway super early. Dunno what that means in terms of wait times but excite. He's my first Idealian too.

Lol, I actually got Ender because I didnt think we'd get a near chance of another Garion re-release so I went for my 2nd favorite Idealian. It was strange luck, now Im getting both.
They are my first Idealians too. I have super gems on fantasy legs, though, so Im having a rough idea about their size. But Im sure it'll still be a little shock to actually have them irl.

That's a heck of a coincidence there, haha. The ID website doesn't really seem to have a release calendar does it? What a shame. Congrats on getting both, though!

They're actually a little taller than 75cm right? My biggest guy right now is 65cm and pretty slim for his height, so oh boy it's going to be an experience.

On the upside, it's a great excuse to finally look into all the super detailed clothing made specifically for this body. I kept seeing super nice outfits people were selling last year but couldn't go for any of them because they would've been massive.

 

I’m also in the first idealian club, though I have another 75 cm body, so I’m excited to see how they compare! The loongsoul body I think is a lot skinnier (and all leg) so it’ll make for some cool comparisons.

also, this guy’s partner is a 65-67cm girl, so she’s going to be so much shorter than him, and I kind of love it

 

A little taller?? Eek! My biggest right now is a lil over 70cm (a Dollshe Mystic guy) so I'm a little intimidated by Garion's size... especially since 77cm is half my height But I do like big dolls, so I guess I'll have to work out so I can carry him around hahaha

 

Haha yep! Just realized that’s half my height too—true 1/3 scale would make him (if he’s 75) over 7ft tall— 7.5 of he ends up at 77, which is pretty perfect for my character, but definitely pretty tall. I remember when 70 was a shocking height to me when I got into the hobby...

Well, yes, it is a dragon. But note that I said cat dragon! Ondiin definitely mixes the normal dragon look with some very feline elements that I love.

 

True. Ondiin reminds me of Nall and Ruby from the Lunar video games.

 

The thing Im dreading most about the Idealians is getting shoes tbh. I usually sew my own doll clothes and the 2 new guys are supposed to fit in my existing fantasy setting anyway, so sewing for them wont be a problem.

But the shoes... thats another story.

And I might finally be running out of place to display them, too.

 

I've never played those games or seen those characters, but after Googling them, I can definitely see it! (Ruby especially looks pretty adorable ) I'm not sure how I'll style my Ondiin, but I'll definitely be playing up the feline features.

 

Bet it will be super cute.
Mine are a lil shadow fae and light fae sisters. (I have the shadow ondiin. Which is a dark navy blue dyed ondiin. And ordered a free choice meipy with ondiin parts.) The meipy face is near identical to sleeping ondiins face but with open eyes.... Soo i kinda feel it will be a good match as a sweet light fae dragon kitty =P

 

I wonder if SartoriaJ shoes will fit? (they're listed as 13.5 cm long - that might be TOO big?)
I did find some shoes on Taobao in ID75 size, but mostly black dress shoes and black stompy boots - probably not great for a fantasy setting.

Also same, when I get my guy then my SD shelf will be FULL, like actually full, not like when I thought it was and then proceeded to jam some more dolls in there!

I'll probably toss around some different ideas; I'm torn between basing the blushing off real cats (I have a couple of anthro cat characters, and I'm working on a set to memorialize my pets who have passed on, though, so I have a lot of real styles covered already) or going for a stronger fantasy look

 

I use shoes for Iplehouse EIDs.

 

I got both! I'll plan on completely different faceups for each. And sure, it'll pop up eventually for you. Congrats on your first as well!

 

Hmm hard choice. I have loved every petit gem i have seen people make. They are just so cute.

I lean towards fantasy with all my characters however.

Hm, that's a good idea. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for shoes and stuff, too--that's the one thing I don't feel like I'd be able to make myself.

Huh, its a very versatile sculpt to be sure, so I'm looking forward to seeing how different you can make them look. Tbh I wasn't even sure who I'd use it for, but then I did a rough little digital mockup and hoo boy, take my money. Here's hoping they're all shipped out soon(ish)!

 

Im guessing SartoriaJ shoes will fit, maybe a tad too big, but better then too small.
But like you said, they don't really fit in a fantasy setting. Simple black boots will be what Ill probably end up going with.

Same on the shelf situation. I keep mine all in stands to display their outfits and it's gotten to a point it doesnt look so good anymore with them being too smushed together. I'll have to start a rotation style once the big guys arrive, lol.

 

Its probably just me, but i felt like both heads look like different people. Especially with the sassy tongue haha. And yeah, if they really ship within 4 months, that's phenomenal!

Also, I layaway'd that recent vampire Narmer. Out of guilt, I was reluctant to mention it earlier . Can't believe I purchased two.

 

dang. anyone else sometimes go "hmm, i'm bored -- oh i can check my order status!" only to stop and realize.... it's been all of 10 days lol, this is gonna be a particularly long wait

 

On the other hand, I saw on insta ppl started receiving their Allegros recently, and he was on sale mid- to late February. So, barely 3 months.

 

I had to mull it over for a week, but I finally caved and ordered an ID51 centaur! White Archer Zinc has been a grail of mine for awhile so in the end I couldn't pass up the chance to have him in some form.

 

@Rillja oh jeez i can only hope he'd get shipped that fast it would be ironic if my last ordered doll was the first to arrive. my longest orders right now are 7 and 8 months in with no end in sight.

 

Well, we are starting off with yet another Amber. Going with the Gray Skin, Pure Bust, full resin set with both heads.

My budget hates me.

Soom has really gotten me this year! Now waiting for my second Petite Gem Rato. I got him in the peony white, surprise head, and cheese part. It’s only been about a month since I ordered Julie in the free choice event.

 

So uh I just got a shipping notice for Ender. I ordered him April 1st and opted for a layaway but got impatient and jumpy and paid it all off on May 1st, and now I have an EMS number to obsessively check for the next couple of weeks. I assumed I wouldn't be seeing him until August at the earliest so all I have for him right now is a pair of jeans.

 

That is wonderful! My Ender was paid for in full so I hope to get mine soon as well

 

I just paid off my garion...is it too early for

 

One enormous lad has arrived (in 3 days!!) and is already making... friends. Hopefully more Enders will start to surface soon!

I hope my Garion will ship that fast - I'll pay off his layaway next week (or maybe tomorrow if there's nothing at the local doll show I want)! Hopefully his clothes that I ordered through Bhiner arrive before he does, because I have absolutely nothing in his size lol
