Does anyone know a company other than Soom where I can get bunny ear parts that will fit well stylistically with my Soom Teenie?

Caved and ordered a Dolomi. I always liked the original release with the dragon parts, but couldn’t order one, so I took my chance this time. Fantasy colours don’t really work for me, so I opted for normal, but I’ll definitely be going for a more exciting colour scheme than the default blushing.

As a heads up before the Serin and Rico Jr release scheduled for this month, Soom just announced they have discontinued PayPal as a payment option.

 

I saw that the other day and rushed to pay off my Taco/Dolomi layaway early because I have issues buying things from Asia with a credit card (my bank loves to block my card when I do it). They say it’s provisional, hopefully they’ll bring it back at some point, because it’s quite an inconvenience to not have PayPal as an option.

 

That's unfortunate. I wonder why.

Teaser images for Shonki/Appini are up, and it looks like we’re getting it in purple! I was really hoping we’d see a come back of the OG black resin, especially when they did that limited Dune/Nor in a similar color not too long ago… But I’ll take purple.

 

Saw this as well, and it's a tad disappointing to be honest. I LOVE the circus/carnival theme, but it feels like Soom only ever releases dolls in peony white, tawny, or light violet nowadays.

 

I think they go through phases. For a while gray felt like the default “alternative resin color.”

I do miss some of the other weird colors like green, brick red, mango, and dark brown. I’m sure it’s just because they difficult colors to cast.

 

Oh man... this might spell trouble for my wallet. Is that purple, or grey with blushing?

 

To me it looks like grey with purple blushing, but I could be wrong!

Thankfully, I'm safe. Not that I've had any money to spend on dolls in a long time anyway! I still feel bad that I still almost never take out my current babies for photos... I am going to FL to visit with my family early next month and I wish I could take at least one doll with me, but I have no room in our suitcases (and I want to focus on this being my 3-year-old son's first time on a plane and at the beach)! It still feels like I'm missing out on some great photos though... I have some awesome ones from when I went years back and took my Soom Rico Jr mermaid girl!

 

I think it should be peony white and gray? Anyway, we'll have an answer soon.

Went with a peony white basic head full set I'm excited for my little cutie. I did have a grey set in my basket too, but talked myself down from it because the actual grey teenie I want is a pointy-eared Grit/Syen -I'm still salty about missing out on them, even though it was two years ago.

 

So after having her blank since I got her 8 years ago! She's finally not blank! And even though I'm not great at faceups and such I'm super happy with her! I just wish she would tell me her name +.+

Thanks And after watching my fav youtuber (girlwiththedogs) She now has a name! Lupa I've been thinking of putting eyelashes in (I dont usually as I'm clumsy and end up squashing/bending them) But I kinda want to as I want to add blonde/white eyelashes, which sounds odd I know, but after meeting a golden retriever today, and noticing her lovely blonde eye lashes I've been inspired! I could always take them out if they look awful...

 

So after toying with clothes and selling all her family (I'm a monster) I think Mischa needs a complete character change, name and everything ... I've got her story down, and I know shes gona have 2 names. The one she was given (that she hates and wants to forget) and the one she's picked for herself. I know her born name is Novalise. Still thinking about the name she chose...

 

Soom's going to be doing a Best Choice event this month! Whichever doll gets the most votes will be re-released.

Sabie/Selen is one of the contenders!

Also in the race are Smokey Onocentaur, Dear My Bunny Feny and Necy, Leave Elve Viol and Ling, Valar of Nature Ario and Argil and Raucor of Destruction Carbon and Luxalla.

I'm really hoping more people than just me vote for Sabie! Especially if we get the option for that original dark brown resin *fingers crossed* although if they offer mango for Viol, that's a tempting vote.

 

@baxterbrat I came here to say basically EVERYTHING you said! Please please please vote for Selen/Sabie! Even if we don’t get that gorgeous brown resin I have been hunting for this doll secondhand for a decade.

Yes! This is the first actual possible rerelease of them and I really hope that even if they don't win they get enough votes for Soom to decide they deserve a rerelease of some sort!

I think I've seen all of three of the them posted online? But never for sale! I think they truly are the rarest of the teenie gems, which sucks, because I feel like if there were more owner pics, more people would see their cuteness?

The only ones I can think of that I see less than Selen are the OG Nive (the mermaid one, I would pay a decent penny for her too) and the black resin Shonki/Appini. I’d love to see the winky face Happy/Lucky again too.

I would love to see Tridy/Trona (the Deviltaurs) again. But out of the ones they listed, I would go for Sabie/Selen, too. Even if they don't offer the brown.

The voting form is live! Limit one vote per IP so I used my phone on data first and will do my laptop on Wi-Fi later.

The dark brown resin is sadly not an option but Honey Yellow, Light Violet, and Snow Blue are! (Along with normal, tawny, and peony white)

 

I voted for Sabie/Selen and honey yellow - but it was a tough choice between snow blue, tawny and yellow!

Selen and Sabie won! It was a landslide for their head, with 43% of 298 votes! Feny and Necy came in second with 18% of the votes.

Sabie/Selen's fantasy parts won too!

And the winning colour was pale violet. Honey yellow was a close second - only being beat out by 0.79%!

(Wasn't pale violet also the winning colour when they did the last best choice and puss and boots won?)

Anyways, they're saying release date will be October 20th.

I’m so thrilled! I wish honey yellow had won for resin but I will take pale violet!! Thanks to everyone who voted to help us see this released again It was absolutely a group effort.

And now the eye/wig/outfit/name planning begins.

 

I agree with you on the honey yellow, but pale violet would have been my second choice... (The conspiracy theory part of my brain wants to say all the Soom employees were asked to vote for violet because they had the colour handy. LOL!!)

But I'm so glad Sabie/Selen and their fantasy parts were the winners. Now I will have to re-adjust my doll plans, though. I wasn't going to buy more dolls this month, but I think I'll want this one.

 

I will admit to voting for pale violet! I did order a small doll from Soom in a yellow a number of years ago and I wasn't pleased when it arrived!

 

Super happy for you guys getting a chance to buy sabie/selen and I must confess that the violet is my second favourite resin colour ^^ first being grey ooo I can't wait to see more of this sculpt around

Well, I tried every which way I could think of to order, but I keep getting a pop-up message in Korean. Google Translate, ever helpful, tells me it means "the machine can not be used - please make sure you have reached the right temperature".
(Should I get more worked up/hot and bothered, or should I cool off a bit? It doesn't say! )


I tried to send a screenshot to customer support, so I hope they can help me.

Glad you could get your order in @Fairy Milliner ! I was… obsessively refreshing their website until the order page went live so I could make sure I didn’t miss the ordering window or risk it selling out early like Nor/Dune Jr did.

I also got in the wig I think I want to use. I want to try it on my Trachy/Lami since she should be somewhat close in color, but that means going through moving boxes and I’m not ready for that until the weekend.

 

My new Selen/Sabie arrived today.

I've been trying to get her magnets to work, but they're a pain, and all I succeeded in is supergluing bits of resin to my fingers. LOL!!

I will take a picture as soon as I have her put together.

 

Tip: Take a small screw with a flat head and cover it with plastic wrap. Then use it as a handle to hold in insert the magnet. If the screw is small enough you can just leave it on the magnet until the glue sets.

My Selen/Sabie arrived also!

(With apologies for necroing the thread) Considering I have both his wig and eyes now, I should really start working on my Shonki.... I think what's stopping me is weather temperature, and... just Uni being in the way....

 

So... thought on Andes & Tona Lampyridae ? I think I'm doomed to get 1 for 2 very big reasons. Firstly, I had to sell my Tona to help with a house deposit and because I just don't get along with centaur bodies I miss her face! Secondly theres a character of mine that I've wanted to have a doll form of and this character has green skin...
so yea. I suspect after I sleep on it, I'll be buying a green 1 ^^ But, I gota say the fantasy parts (for the first time ever!) don't interest me at all :/ I considered the outfit but after seeing the price tag decided I didn't like it enough xD

I really like the sculpt and would probably get one in cream (human set only) if I had the money. I haven't done much with my babies in a while (took some pictures last month when I trimmed my peonies and put the good blooms in my bird bath, but that was the first time in probably over a year), but I still like to look at pictures and I still hope to find sculpts for those of my characters I had planned!

 

I took some picture of my Bygg yesterday. Not taken pictures in a long time! I really enjoyed it, I dunno why I don't do it more, especially with the lovely woods and things around where I live now Here if you wanna see ^^

 

I want to go for the Andes & Tona Lampyridae fullset, but I'm afraid to wait too long before making the purchase. I've never bought from Soom before, do they usually sell out before the event end date? I need a little firefly since I missed out on the Opel & Lier moths.

 

I've never seen them sell out, but i've had pockets of time when 'doll collector' me has hibernated xD what I will say to you, the facesculpt is much cuter then it appears in those photos I feel (i use to have Tona deertaur). you can always Soom's layaway too if that makes it easier for you I usually use their layaway, I think this is the first time I haven't! And I have bought from Soom A LOT!

I bought my green Tona/Andes yesterday I haven't told my partner yet xD But I think I can hold off telling him for a month or 2 xD I mean I had his blessing to buy a doll from resinsoul that I never bought, so I think this should totally be ok xD right?
