I just wanted to ask if someone has experience with female free choice events.
IF the Sweet Witch would be included she comes with her fantasy parts only, correct?
So does that mean that she will only have her resinshoes and the feet without toes?

 

Prince Whitemare Thank you! ^^ They're cat demons based on Russian Blues, so that pale green is what I'm going for. I've ordered some from CiG. Going to have a go at making wigs myself so we'll see how that works out!

 

We won't know until they post details. When they do a free choice, you have the option of mixing heads and bodies, so there may be another body option you like better.

@nancy_schroeder_ca I just try so prepare myself mentally because Soom gives us so littlte time with all decisions. I just thought maybe someone knows because Vesuvia had resin shoes and I know from pictures that she definately came with those, but I dont know if there were other (normal) heel feet at least included.

 

They look wonderful Chibi Kitsune I can't wait to get mine done. Ticuk has agreed to do my vampire boy and not sure who i want to do the elf head.

 

@Prince Whitemare - I'm pretty certain I remember FCE Vesuvia coming with both regular flat feet and regular heel feet... however, there's probably no guarantee they'll necessarily do the same again, either. >:

 

@Renarys Thank you so much. That would so great and leaves at lest a trace of hope. It would be something different if sommeone remembered Vesuvia coming with only her toechopped feet for 100%

 

I got the toe chopped feet, flat feet and heel feel when I got my FCE Vesuvia hybrid. But Soom seems to have gotten stingier with feet parts since then

 

I got my shipping notice from my swap partner @Uminari. My NS Dia vampire elf head has been shipped. I'm so excited.

Yes, it will be starting June 22nd and the some of models you gave are included_Cinderella, Gneiss,Epidia and Ignim.
Options and colors are still undecided yet but we're referring to your ideas.

So ... if Cinderella is included I doubt they skip the sculpts released before her ... by that means Red Ridinghood and Sweet Witch seem very likely to be included. The only thing making me twitch is that I listed Sweet Witch and she wasn't rementioned by Soom as being included (?)

The other thing making me curious ... colors are still undecided ?!
So maybe more or less options than we had before ?
MAYBE we should ask them to include some fantasy colours and make it a rainbow FCE ?
(I know I am just going crazy here )

 

Ahaha, kinda funny how surprised they are that you know that! Like, of course I would share exciting (though unplanned) news like that with you guys!
Also, thanks for asking them for details, this sure does come in handy...!

It'd be awesome if Soom really starts including more colours with each FCE from now on (I remember grey being included in later events), but I would be more than happy if they included dark brown this time. At least to make the gorgeous Epidia sculpt justice.
I'll definitely write them an inquiry about this (and the rainbow option) soon and see how it goes!

Other than that I'm happy that this'll finally be my chance to get my hands on a new type body with the help of a split (either joining one or splitting off the head myself; might even consider splitting off possible fantasy legs since I don't need any leg parts at all)!

 

@Collie Thought that too but maybe it was a different person that didn't know about someone telling us already.

You are right there were only 2 FCE for the Super Gem girls, the first one didn't include grey skin as an option and for the 2nd grey and Cass were options added later on.
I will ask them for pale blue / light blue as an option.
Even if I know how little the chances are ... but

 

I'm looking at the Soom Super Gem girls and.. their heads seem a little small. I like their bodies though. Is it possible to put a bigger head on, and does anyone know of companies that make slightly larger, preferably female, heads?

 

Those all look so pretty in their pictures on the website~
There's just something about them..
I wonder if maybe it's the neck size that's getting me. The width and the length.

Sorry if I'm jumping in here, but I have a question about the FCE: could Galena possibly be included? I have no experience with these FCEs, and I've bought all my Soom dolls second hand. It seems unlikely to me, but I have been holding a tiny flicker of hope, and I thought you wise Soom owners could maybe answer this for me.

@fishcake , @petiteballerine and now imagine her coming with those clear parts without the black taint.
I would love to give her white wings and turn everything into the colours of a sky by sunset.
With those sweet lavender, pink, orangy and slightly yellow tones.
Hopefully I can talk them into offering blue but I believe my chances are low.
You could also turn Cinderella into the Blue Fairly; literally
Or Red Riding Hood in a Moonbunny
Gneiss would look like a goddess of sky and clouds like this.

Jumping in to say my Dia Vampire head arrived from my split partner. He is gorgeous! I hope I can do him justice with my minimal faceup skills. I am going to give it a try but he is so beautiful I'm a bit intimidated by him.

Excited for this FC! Wondering what colors they'll offer and the combos people will opt for really captures ones imagination! Can't wait to see who comes from this event.

 

I'm on the prowl this year for vamp, pointy-eared, unusual colored resin girls. I have 3 boys to every girl here. time for some more grrrrrlll power!
although I have a winged grey girl on layaway at Souldoll, I love Soom, and to mix and match sounds irresistible.
so fun to see what everyone will bring home.

I'd love something I don't have already: greenish, blue (although Euclase is a grey/blue) so I'll be 'pretend' shopping. not sure if I can afford to push the buy button though. but.....sometimes it just seems to happen on its own.

Eeep this is great news! I'm really hoping to see Snow White, Lady Rose, Beauty and Cinderella.
I also want to see loads of skin tone options!

 

You'd think they'd have to offer loads of skintone options,since all the new girls seem pretty light on fantasy parts...
I'm not so much a fan of the neck on the new body (and how pinheaded it makes the new girls look - it's too short and thick, proportionally for my tastes. Snow White made me grit my teeth every time I saw the picture where her head was tilted to the side)

 

The Snow White heads always seemed off to me, just too small for the neck and body. But I love her reindeer parts!
You also make a good point, they will need to offer a variety of skin tones in order to avoid recreating an existing MD dolls.

 

I have a question about the FCE that maybe omeone can answer. So, Soom doesn't allow you to create a doll combo in the FCE that was sold previously (picking a head and body of the same doll in a color it was available during the initial sale), but how picky are they about the resin color? For example, the Sweet Witch was sold in Smokey Grey; if they included just regular grey as a resin option, would that count as recreating a past release, even though it's technically a different resin tone?

 

I think they will allow her in regular grey, because if they would start to classify different resin tones where does it stop?

I can't tell 100% but smokey grey and regular grey are different colours not just the same colour named differently.
Isn't a perfect comparison but they would need to classify tan, tawny, brown tan, bronze all the same if they do so with the grey tones.

Hey there ! I have some news !

Sweet Witch is part of the up coming event this month. They will release more official information maybe next week.
They are not sure if her parts will be clear transparent or black transparent. They haven't decided yet.
Same for the resincolours.

But still I got a quite nice and long message
They were so sweet about everything.
The special colours greens, blues etc (I mentioned the mango skin too) are difficult to produce BUT it sounded not like it is impossible.
They mentioned they really really like the idea and forward it to the develope team so they may use it for future events or even the upcoming one!

So I think if you are interested in getting something in those fantasy colors NOW is a good time for writing them.
If they see there is interest it may work out

I have a question and hope to get some help.. Do you guys know if tremo's legs would be compatible with the body from Scutum??

 

They are both the same type of body. So yes they should fit the body. It is the same generation of bodies, the 2012 new type body. The only thing I don't know is if Tremos legs use a fantasy tigh type or just the regular thighs.
But I am quite sure that the tremo legs just use the regular tighs ( if you can attach the lower human legs to the tighs they are just regular ones, the others are bigger and heavier)

 

it's nice of Soom to be so obliging. refreshing after a rather long period of frustration with them last year.

how long does the FCS sale usually last?
I'm trying not to be interested, but......

 

I finally complete my Soom Dia, Valentine (I had him for almost a year)!!! His face up is done by me.

The FCEs seem to last usually for like two weeks ^^
My gf will get her Coquina head a body and if I get a chance for a blue witch I can't resist either. Not sure if I will go for a full grey witch or a cinder witch in ws instead

@KuroHitsuji I love the sparkling on make up and eyes! I use GIMP to resize but I am not the best photographer by any means

Her little teeth & rabbit parts are odd & very likable. Her hare feet save her from being a Playboy cliche.
Blue or grey would be cool.

I love Epida - not her feet so much.
Maybe a different body. I need to see choices!

I don't want anyone white, CW or normal.
I have 8 Sooms. Not one SG girl. All men except little Uyoo, the 1st.

 

@petiteballerine yes, the bunny is Red Ridinghood. And I do love the idea of a pale blue version of her almost as much as for sweet witch. I Have had her ears but sold them with my White Rabbit. I adore them !
I think she would be really interesting in any of those cool hues.

Agates feet are quite fun but unfortunately you can hardly see them in any of the promotional pictures.

I am not a fan of Epidias feet either. I think my prefered body option will be the witch because of her tail, wings and heart hands. The only thing that could ruin it for me is when they decide she doesn't come with her resin shoes / toe chopped feet AND any sort of normal feet, because I want her to be able to wear other shoes.

Just a question here does anyone know when the new cream white resin was made from? I am wanting to find another body for my extra Dia head and know the old CW is nothing like the new one.

 

@Kavarr I can only tell that Isha is for sure in the new CW and my White Rabbit wasn't at least he was quite creamy when I got him (2nd hand but quite new).
If I remember correctly the ones I heard the most about being really pure white were Serin & Rico those littlte mermaids, so maybe around that time it started ? They were the August MD from 2014.

 

Is anyone else a fan of Lady Rose? I've asked Soom if she would be included but sadly that's not the plan...

Seems like there is a serious lack of fantasy feet in this FCE, from the confirmed girls (Cinderella, Gneiss, Epidia, Ignim) only Epidia has non-human feet - and not the most appealing-looking to boot.

I will definitely beg Soom to add Lady Rose to the collection for the kitty(?) body, if anyone of you wants to join me I'd be very thankful. And yes, in the past Soom added a doll (and even a colour) to the FCE due to popular demand, so there's still hope...!

 

@Kavarr - I have Albin from early this year in cream white. But I hear it varies. Mine is beautiful , very white but soft.

 

@Kavarr : I have an Idealian Elloa from 2015. Compared to what others are saying, she came to me paper white and doesn't have that creamy tone at all. I think Soom's cream white might vary as much as their normal skin.

Thanks for the answers. I was wondering if I could find a body that matches my Dia Lord of Jotunheim but I fear it may be difficult. I know how the NS is really variable but was not sure with the white. My Dia is a beautiful white color with just a hint of pink so I know it won't match the older cream colored white but was hoping the newer resin was more consistent. I do know that he matches the new Ringdooll NS which is very pale so I may hybrid him.
