Shipping Soom postage?

I believe they start making your dolls as soon as they confirm your final payment, and from then they have a 100-day guarantee, meaning you have close to that many days to wait for your items. This is in their notice board, I believe.

 

Actually it's 100 business days from confirmation of final payment, so if you, say, paid on a Tuesday, and they changed the status on Wednesday, it's 100 business days from Wednesday. You probably have a few weeks to go, good luck!

I paid off a layaway and it still took three months for them to send me my doll after the final payment was made But I've heard of others who have had their dolls sent only weeks after making final payment. It wouldn't be abnormal for you to have to wait three months out though, so don't get too nervous if you don't see your dolly ship soon.

 

My Lami has just shipped from Soom, about two and a half months after completing the layaway, which is pretty normal by their current shipping times. You should expect to wait at least two months after finishing the layaway, although it might ship before then if you're particularly lucky.

 

do you mean that your status is "before shipping"? as has been said..... that means you have made a full payment, and you are now waiting for shipping, which usually takes about 3 months or so...... if your status is "order received" then you should ask Soom on the Q&A page, if they have received all of your payments, and to please update your status. be prepared to give them your paypal transaction ID number........

 

I've noticed that it depends on the length of the layaway. People who go for longer layaways generally seem to have a shorter wait than those that go for shorter ones, most likely because by the time the long layaways are finished the last of the dolls are trickling in and there isn't as much of a line-up. That's not always true, of course. When I paid in full, I got a shipping notice in almost exactly three months.

Also, bear in mind that 100 business days is about 5 months. So, theoretically, you may have to wait up to 5 months since your full payment was confirmed. Now, that generally doesn't happen because Soom tends to ship things out in about 2.5-3 months' time, but that is how long they have as per the terms you agreed to when you clicked "buy now".

 

Aw, I'm sorry, but this is a well-known experience with Soom, the information is on their site and in the WRs, and it's not a situation that's unique to you, but a regular business situation everyone with layaway experiences to one degree or another. I'm sure your doll will be worth the wait, I know all of mine have been!

Keep in mind that the 100 business day thing is only a guarantee. You'll have your dolls by then or you'll get points credited to your account. It's very likely that your dolls will ship out before then.

And another thing. PRAY you get your package and not someone else's. I've been in a hell since mid-July. I thought it was over when the other woman who got my package mailed it to me...no. It's now lost, and I can't get Soom to understand she has to put a trace on it.
