Soom Mecha Angel Saiph Discussion

It feels like more of a priest/mage thing to me. It seems someone at Soom is enjoying thinking up fantasy-oriented dolls... I'm not terribly fond of her lips, but she does have a sort of mystical air to her, in keeping with the outfit.

 

Oh I love her face! sadly she is too tall for me, does anyone know if the mecha angel heads look ok on any smaller bodies?

I might see how my money jar is looking in a few months time, (currently very near empty due to dolly spending!) because I can't stop going back to look at her every few minutes! I really love the direction Soom is moving in, their new esthetic is just my thing

I agree, the new fantasy-oriented Soom dolls are really getting to me. Saiph's face is beautiful, but luckily not hitting the "want" button for me. Her dress on the other hand....ffarrrr out, I want that dress! I wonder if I could order it in Super Gem size?

Sweet! I love her face, there's something unusual and interesting about it. She looks like one of those ageless people - that is, looking at her I feel she's either a girl who looks older than her real age, or a woman who looks younger than her age. I think she would look really good with Rex, they both have such soulful, expressive faces.

 

There's something about her I really like. I'm mostly interested in buying boys, but this is the first girl I could really see myself owning. Oh dear, Soom, what are you doing to the strings on my coinpurse? T___T

 

Agreeing with Yugami. I only buy the boys as well but there's something about Saiph that's just so yes. I think she looks like one of those elfs or mages/priests you see in MMORPG games, definitely my thing but luckily she's too tall for any of my boys (like, 16cm taller ).

 

man, soom is on the ball here. she does look like some type of mage, lol. *sigh* if only she wasn't so tall. on the other hand, it makes me wonder whether i should hold off getting spinel and see if an even hotter boy will come out

 

Saiph is very cute but quite young looking, mayby just a bit too young for me. I do like her big lips and her little nose. Does the shape of her eyes look a bit asian? I agree she would look good with Rex. Those two are the youngest looking MA's. Welldone Soom!

I want to stick her head on a boy's body, maybe a SDF body or Super Gem boy's body...not sure it will match size or resin color tho. ^^;

This really isn't fair Soom. ;_; Especially with them hinting at an incubus I might wait to get her another month.

 

Prettiest female Mecha Angel IMO. I love her eyes and cheekbones. Lucky that she's a MA or I'd seriously be contemplating getting her.

 

Oh my, she's wonderful. I totally agree with RPG/MMORPG priest, that was my immediate thinking when I looked at her! And as I've always been fond of this kind of character, I'm just becoming crazy!!! Soom is a devil, so many beautiful and original dolls it's not possible...
But like a lot of people she wouldn't match my dolls... 20cm taller than my SDF that's a bit too much unfortunately (or fortunately for my bank account).

 

I agree that she would look cute with Rex, and although I will not buy her this ffd in any case (uhm, 3 soom before shipping already ) I will consider her later. I would love to see her blonde and blue eyed She looks so much softer and cuter than the other Soom girls. And imho the first MA that looks like a girl. But... is it just me, or does she have a giraffe's neck? Makes me think of Parmigianino's Madonna.

About the outfit, I think that the bodice and skirt is beautiful, but I don't like the headpiece or sleeves at all.

Hm... long neck and big lips, but I still think she is adorable. There is just something abouth her sweet face and expression

 

80cm is just too tall for me and my Hound is already at 70cm, Soom is sure releasing a lot of new dolls lately, but I am happy with my crew already.

 

I love her face, she has something... I like to describe her as untouchable. But that's just me.
By the way, I absolutely ADORE that outfit! I want it!

 

*delurk* *waves* This one was my downfall, finally.

I had decided to get one of the MA series for a first purchase with this FFD purchase period, and ended up with two: Saiph being one of them, Deneb the other. (I am hoping they eventually do a cream white elf Vega; she looks like she might be lovely in that combination.) *sigh* I've always wanted a large, very mature-looking doll, so I'd waited forever to get any at all, now there is a whole line I really like.

I passed on the dress (on both, actually), though it looks quite lovely. My frustrated costumer instincts need an outlet desperately, though, so these ladies look like the perfect candidates for it. Their size makes them delightful candidates for obscene levels of garment detailing, which was a big selling point for me.

 

Oh, she's lovely, really soft and young looking. She's the first MA female that I've really liked. But there's something about the blackness of her eyes that makes her look a bit bovine-like. Not the most flattering eyes Soom could have pictured her with, in my opinion. Still, I am sorely tempted. And her outfit is amazing. Actually, all Soom's outfits I have loved.

 

Ok I usually fall in love only with boys, I have found so few girls I really like... oh my god, this one killed me on sight... a giant wonderful lady... oh my... if only there was her face on Beryl....

 

I wonder if her head could work on the male body...

 

She is so, so gorgeous ... but too big for the character I'd want her for if she was 60-65cm I would be buying her right now.

 

ooh.. I like her - she is more feminine than Deneb and Vega. Deneb is my favorite still.

Why do I look????? I saw her and thought "oh, she's ok but I think I prefer Deneb", then I clicked on the link to look closer and saw those lips, those eyes, sigh. I'm already in debt to them for Beryl, saving for the next male succubus, wanting Vega Merman, and now also Saiph. She reminds me of my Luts Annette. I'd like to get her, but I'm hoping there will be an Elf version like Sabik. I'm really getting into the fantasy dolls courtesy of Soom. It's going to be a nightmare getting them home. Customs can hit you for any amount over $1000 and will accumulate totals from the one company unless a reasonable time apart. At least layaway should make it easier to get them (and hopefully defeat customs).

The more I look at Saiph the more I like her. She's really pretty and I'm sure she could look slightly older with a bit darker face up. Oh, how I wish she would have elf ears...

I have actually asked Soom if they're going to release Dened or Saiph with elf ears. Sadly they said that they haven't got any confirmed plans to do so. That's just isn't fair. There's already two male elfs, Sabik elf and Vega ocean elf. But no females.

 

Does the ocean elf Vega head actually have elf ears, or just the separate(?) finny ones? I couldn't really tell from the pictures. I know I'd really like an elf Vega, so I'm hoping they will do elf female heads (on female bodies) as well. I would have bought the mer-Vega if it was elf-eared -- and on a female body. I really love her face, but I held off on getting her at all specifically because I'm hoping they will do that eventually and that is the kind I would want. (I'd be really overjoyed if they eventually made MA heads one could order separate and the high-heel bare feet they show on the MA female body info page for the girls available, too.)

 

Vega ocean elf has separate finny ears. I think it show quite clear on some pictures and was mentioned in the text on the site. I would love if Soom would do even a regular elf female with ears like Sabik elf has. But it seems like they're not even planning to do them now. Oh well, just gotta wait and wait.. More time to buy their other dolls while waiting.

 

Do anybody order her? I'm being tempted to buying her even when she is a really huge doll. I am sad that I don't have the money right now

 

I did. Hopefully, if all goes well, she will arrive in a reasonable time. It's my first ever order, so I don't know what to expect. I will try to get pictures of her when she gets here though.

 

I'm seriously thinking about her. I'm not sure, she's not limited, I'd rather swap my Sabik to an Elf ear version and I'm getting Beryl and probably the male succubus. I don't know how many dolls I want on layaway at Soom.

I've ordered one in white skin too but can't stop thinking that she's probably too huge.... Do tyou think it's possible to put Saiph h'ad on a Model Doll body or on a SupeGem body?

 

From what I've heard, Mecha Angel heads are big and odd-looking on smaller bodies. *Whispers* the best solution to the size problem, is to buy many beautiful Mecha Angels, so that they will fit togeter, and thus not seem too big!* Lol *Vega and Rex on order, elf Sabik and Saiph on wishlist*. Saiph is a sweetie, but I am afraid that I will not be able to get her in some time, due to my long wishlist and the fact that she is not limited... If Elf Sabik shows up soon, I am in trouble though. Need to see what happens to Soom dolls in customs first

I agree, I like big dolls too. (Don't think I want bigger than Mecha Angel size though). I think they resemble sculptures, and in addition to being interesting characters, they are all the more visible and decorative. Yay! I need more space and a lot more money, lol

Yea, and I like Soom white skin. It has a goregous, creamy colour. My 4 soom dolls are all white skin (Only got one home though, rest before shipping). Might be a little crazy and order Sabik in NS someday, but not sure yet.

Congrats to those getting Saiph, even if I don't get her, I would love to see many pictures with different looks!

 

My sister is planning to get her, she loves 80 cm so does I , the only one I order so far is Rex ...I am intersted to get Vega mermaid but no money T_T ...

She will get NS for Saiph her Sabik is WS though...but well!

 

Last day, I've had my friend's Model Doll in hands: it's a very large doll (but with small head) and the resin is very heavy too. I've tried ti imagine how tall the Saiph could be compared to this doll... and now just can't wait to have finished to pay to get her!

 

Wow, she's gorgeous. Facially she reminds me a bit of Supia 60, with her long face and long mouth.

 

I simply adore her. If I didn't have my dream doll on the top of my wish list, I'd buy her in a heart beat. It's so hard to find a girl SD doll that isn't dwarfed by my Sabik and that appeals to me.

 

I must say, I have recently discovered and simultaneously fallen in love with Saiph (about five minutes ago)! Does anyone know the date when she is supposed to come out?

The only thing I am worried about, which seems to be a constant question, is her size! She is replacing a Unoa Latea I had planned for her character, with her friend so far being a MNF n_n'''' Its okay concerning her being, but I was just hoping that wouldn't look too strange. But my goodness is she gorgeous!

 

She was a FFD doll for april~ I'm not sure when she'll be available again. I'm sorry you missed her this time. I got one, couldn't resist. Love at first sight. I was a bit worried about her size too but I just frankly don't care, she's too gorgeous

 

They seem to rotate which are available every few months, from what I've seen. I snatched one up, too. Hopefully she'll ship soon.

Here's a question for anyone who already owns one of the MA gals: are there any shoes available (at other sites, since Soom does not list any for the MA females) that fit them? What about the male MA boots? Close, not even close... ? I was specifically wondering about the Dollmore Model Doll size shoes, since it looks like some of the male MA shoes are the same as the Dollmore Model Doll male shoes. Any advice in this regard would be amazingly helpful, since I'm not really looking forward to making shoes. Dresses, sure... but shoes are a royal pain.
