AH snowman your dune is so pretty!! even tho i think the bronze is gorgeous i havent been able to come up with a character i would like in bronze. but things like this really make me want to try ><!

I'm not sure what I'll end up ordering, but I know it'll be something~ I need those Goss/Thera legs, if nothing else. The hard part is choosing between all of these adorable face sculpts! >____<

 

Arg I want a bronze Nor. OTL I understand why they don't allow you to make existing dolls... But... Weeeh.

 

i wish they would somehow change all the toso pieces out to the new blossom bodies for the fce girls ><
i wonder is there anyone that prefers the original LG girl body to the blossom body?

I was really hoping for the blossom breast to be available for the girls in the FCE.. I wonder if several requests would make them consider allowing it.. I like at least a little chest on my girls.. Their older girl chest is practically a boy chest, imo.

 

Just peeking in here... I don't have any LGs yet, but I've been after a couple of the bodies, so something will likely be coming home to me during the FCE. Does anyone have a Grey or Ace they can show me, or any others with cat/cat-like beast legs they'd like to show off? I've got two floating heads who need cat bodies, want two different bodies for each, and since they're different colors, I'm hoping to get a better idea of what I might actually want to go for before ordering one this time around.

 

I definitely prefer the blossom chest for the girls. I agree that the old chest might as well be a boy chest, or a pre-pubesant.

 

I personally like the blossom breast girl body and the old girl body equally, and if they ended up offering the option on a FCE, I would have a hard time deciding!

 

yknow, the old chest-- like the size of the breasts particularily-- doesnt bother me that much, its how broad the chest is. i think the actual chest (not counting breasts) of the blossom body is smaller than the old style body and i like that. i also wish they would change the elbow mechanism... ><

 

I asked on the Q&A if they will offer the Blossom Breast.. I hope to hear good news. It would be really great.

 

The elbows drive me crazy! Mine may just be strung too tightly or something though.

 

They are definitely easier to deal with on my loose Serin but they're really tricky on my tight Dune! I almost feel like LG is meant to be loose and floppy.
Has everyone restrung their LG kids tighter after receiving or do you leave them loose?

 

Soom can be weird about offering alternate parts. I think it'll be easier to get them to add grey skin than the blossom breast, but I may be 100% backwards on this.

I have an Ace, but haven't taken any pics od her yet. I might have time to take a few on Monday, though, if the weather gets better around here by then^^
Other LGs with fantasy parts I have are Borol, Shale, Koori and Rico, but they aren't cat-like.

About the blossom body: I would also prefer that option, really. I'm definitely getting a Bronze male LG (probably either Goss or Nor on a Goss body), but since Ior is also part of the event now, I'm considering getting her as well. In Grey skin, if they decide to add it. And if I do get her, I would definitely prefer the blossom body.
We can try asking for it, but I agree with heidipay that it's less likely than Grey Skin being added

 

RoyalBarjack, I completely agree about liking the Blossom Breast piece more just for being less broad, especially around the shoulders! xD And I also agree with the elbow joint. I have to give them points for making the bend of the elbow look really nice but the actual functionality of it is kind of lacking. And on the subject of restringing LGs, I always ALWAYS restring mine the very moment I receive them. I am really not a fan of the elastic Soom uses whatsoever. I've yet to receive a doll directly from Soom that had stringing anywhere near suitable to my standards. I consider the strings they use in their TGs and LGs way to thin and they don't have nearly enough tension to be helpful in posing. Its pretty much just there to keep the doll from falling apart and that is it. The elastic for the arms is mildly tolerable though, but only because I've found the arms to function a little bit better at a somewhat looser tension so they don't snap up constantly. But I'm amazed at all the crazy poses I can get my Serin's body to do for example since restringing and sueding her that she had unquestionably zero chance of doing before.

 

If you get a chance to do it, I'd love to see her. I'm mostly settled on doing her as the body for the taller of my two cat-girls, since her feet look a little longer than most of the other cat-like ones I've seen, but owner photos always make a huge difference compared to just the standard Soom photos.

 

Oh man, this is going to be a hard event to ignore. D8 I love Ior's face sculpt.. I love hearing about what everyone else is planning to order. ;v;b

 

Ooh thanks for your reply Arkelle that's really useful to know! I will definitely restrung my girls knowing that now. What size elastic do you use? Where do you get it? I don't know anything about this stuff ><

 

I'd like to participate in the Event but I'm sad they don't offer fantasy resin colors. I would have loved to get Lig in light green
Though if Dain was available, I would drop everything and get her.

Oh crud! I just noticed Gray & Ace pure souls are on the list... gosh. Must resist.

 

Man! I hope they do opt to offer grey resin and the new gal chest.... wait! I don't 'cause then I will simply -have- to get a grey Thera. ;3 (all kidding: I know many others who would like those added options) I'll try to get some photos of my WS Marl and Thera post haste for those who've asked in the thread. Gosh I love these Little Gems!

 

Careful, the Grey/Ace available in this event is the Wind Elves version (open eyes and fox parts), not the Pure Soul one (romantic eyes and hooves)

Dain will likely be offered in several years. They seem to pick the next six or seven dolls released after the previous six or seven, so it will be at least one more FCE if not more than that before Dain is available.

 

I would love to see both Thera and Marl if you get the time.

 

Soom is killing me...
I want Dune's head and a full Thera.. But I just put a Volo on Layaway... and I'm waiting for my Rang and Dain to ship..

Speaking of which.. The wait for them is slowly killing me. Soom had sent and email saying they'd be shipped the last week of March then on that week I got another email saying they'll be shipped the second week of April.. I think knowing how close its getting is making the wait worse!

and I know the blossom breast might be a stretch, but maybe they might do it. It'd be super amazing if they did!

 

Shiyaria: Omg I know exactly how you feel, I'm still waiting for my Teenie Gem FC babies, have been waiting since October now and the wait is killing my soul right now. And the worst thing is, I'm still looking to take part in the Little Gem event even though my first two haven't even arrived yet lol. But I'm really having doubts right now if I can bear another 6-7 month wait. I think if they won't offer grey skin I probably won't order this time around even though I will probably regret it later on. Borol/Marl is really cute and I love their fantasy parts but maybe it is too much of a stretch right now.
Ah well, sorry for being a spoilsport, I'm still looking forward to your lovely LG babies when they arrive!

 

Here is some Ior spam for all the people considering her in the FC event. I am safe from this one. I bought all the dolls I liked from that set haha .

 

My Hyperon, who I won in the Post-MD event, went from "Middle of April" (e-mail received March 16) to "End of May" (e-mail received March 29.)

What I *suspect* is that they have a delay on the face-up side of things, because (as I understand it) Post-MD dolls are generally "extras" that have already been cast, usually canceled layaways.

The only reason I can think that Hyperon is being delayed is that I requested a face-up and blushing on his machine arm -- so, that is likely why his delivery has gotten pushed back. (I ordered him on February 5, and requested the face-up/blushing shortly thereafter.)

If he were already cast, I can't think of another reason why his delivery would take almost 4 months -- I know that things like running out of shipping supplies (printed/custom-sized boxes, custom-cut foam) can create unexpected slowdowns, but presumably not for SUCH an extended length of time, for an order of an already-cast doll.

Zomboid, did you get face-ups on your October order?

/photo drop! Thera and Marl. I bought Thera second hand - I wasn't sure I liked her chin until I saw her at Dollism last year.... and was totally smitten - her face is far more sweet and soft than it looked in the photos and those hooves!! Man oh man. Yeah - love what SOOM does. Beautiful work. (oh! and Marl is wearing Ior horns... which makes her look more like a water buffalo... but I'm such a sucker for monster/goat horns. :3 She is also taller than Thera - which I hadn't noticed until now.. I usually have her sitting.)

 

Zomboid, Wow. Since October? I'd be going crazy by now. Did Soom send you an email about delivery?
and I want to convince myself to pass on this event, but I fear regretting it as well.. I might break down depending on prices.

karleecakes Your Ior is adorable! I love those horns. And I wish I was lucky enough to skip, but I only recently joined the BJD hobby and missed out on so many cuties. I am also sad I missed the last LG FCE.. I want Sueve, Mylo, and Adamelli from that set. I've been wondering if Soom would go back to certain dolls again or if it's only once they enter the FCE.

Ashbet I'm curious about what may have caused the delay. Though, mine was only two weeks delay and yours sounds like possibly six. I do think that's weird since I assume the Post MDs are already casted. I hope Soom doesn't have anymore delays and catches up quickly so everyone's dolls make it home sooner.

lunarbackbone Ahh! Your Thera is soooooo cute and making me want her even more so! I like Ior's horns on Marl. She does give off the buffalo vibe, for sure!

 

Does Soom sell parts? I'm thinking about getting a Marl/Dune hybrid, and I'd like to mod her wing arms to be wings on her back. Or is my best bet the Marketplace?

 

No, Soom doesn't sell the parts individually (I wish they did!). However, the wing parts do pop up in the MP occasionally.

I just got my hands on a serin head and I love her to bits.
Unfortunately I also have a Soom Ace and I'm not.. Exactly thrilled with her body. Thankfully she's mostly a cabinet baby.
Has anyone made a hybrid normal skin serin/rico yet? Or at least know of what other company resin will match?

All else fails I'll most likely try to get my hands on a rico/serin body but if I have some other options I'd love to know ; ~; Thanks!

Rang and Dain's little feather ears on the romantic heads sold me. I love them. I actually want to get my hands on a second set of romantic heads, if possible. I looooove Mylo's ears and those little feet. I really just wanted Sueve's romantic head. Maybe Soom will be so kind to rerun them in a FCE some day. They'd get all my money!

 

Now I'm considering Marl (plus her hooves) in bronze... will you guys spam your bronze dolls for me?

 

aww I am loving all the horn and hooves pics and giving me ideas for my next doll. An ior head with a thera body would be so cute. I must be good for awhile, but excited to see everyones combo from this event.

I was thinking a Dune in grey would be neat. Possibly crow-like with darker blushing. I'm on board for grey skin!

I think if Soom would add Gray skin to the event after enough requests, I'd love to get Lig in gray... although she could be absolutely gorgeous in Bronze too. Decisions, decisions...

 

I've got an Ace and I love her to pieces, but she's very difficult to get standing on those paws. I've only managed it a handful of times so if that's an issue for you, I'd maybe look at the other cat-like bodies.

I don't have any tan dolls so I'm a little nervous but that bronze looks gorgeous.
I think it would work perfectly if I get a full Marl and make her a deer-girl. What does everyone else think?

 

I think this event will be the first time Goss/Thera will be released in Bronze, so unfortunately I don't think anyone will have any spam of that for you

My advice to everyone hoping for grey skin (and anyone who'd like to lend a helping hand) is to make your FCE orders as late in the event as possible. Soom seems to add options (or extend ordering periods) mostly when they feel a doll/event isn't selling well enough (see Cass and grey skin being added to the last female SG FCE, which was MUCH quieter than the previous female and male SG events).

Basically, I think the longer people wait to make their orders for the FCE, the more likely Soom is to add extra options like the Blossom bust or grey skin.

Since I'm obviously not going to see bronze Thera, how about spam of Thera in NS/WS? Pretty please ? Also does she stand well on the hooves?

 

She has only ever been available in cream white, so you won't see pictures of her in normal skin either.

In fact if she was offered in normal skin you wouldn't be able to get her in normal skin from the FCE.

I have no trouble getting Thera standing on her hooves. I've a bit more trouble with Marl's... but I think I need to restring her.
