Yellow/Orange are possibly the best colors ever so. I certainly had to make this guy orange or something! The colors sometimes make me think of a Ponyta hahaha.

Yay for centaurs! I had no idea I would like centaur dolls so much. Show us when it gets there! :3

Thanks! He has some Orange Ersa Flora glass glitter eyes and the wig is from LUTS! I really like the faceup from Soom, it worked out awesome. =v=b
I finally got him outside the house too! :U

I'll stop spamming him so much now haha.

 

I got shipping notice for my Shale split Yay. I can't wait to get the open eye head.

Wow - so my Pink centaur came while I was away at a con... and they sent no email that they were shipping it out - o__O I've had issues with my lovely PO Worker forging my signature for doll boxes and leaving them on my porch. Luckily I was having a friend check in on my kitty while I was away and she signed for it. Still, what the hades!

Got a question for people who got centaur bodies how many pieces does the horse part have?

 

two part horse torso, four upper horse thighs, four horse legs, four lower horse legs, four hooves, and the tail - so it's the same amount as say the luts KDF centaur

My centaurs are in Chicago! So they should be home with in the week! So excited!!

Are the parts marked and easy to figure out? I'm not very experienced with stringing (as in: NEVER!)... I hope the parts aren't to confusing for me...

 

I'm confused in how it should be strung too... they mention how to do the human body but the centaur has more parts o_O did anyone take pictures or remember how they did theirs? I only have the elastic they gave me and I'd hate to cut it and the pieces be too short.

It is like the other centaur dolls from soom, there's a thread for stringing a soom teenietaur I memorized before I got him! XD
All of the pieces are labelled and it's easy to do. Three pieces of elastic, strung like a normal doll but with a centaur torso instead of hips, and the third string from the back feet to the front of the horse body, I string the horse body and back feet first, then the rest of the doll like normal.
Hopefully it makes sense? I can take actual pictures if you would prefer, assuming this helps...?

I'm pretty sure it goes by the dolls left or right, so the right foot would be to your left if you were facing it, so it's like this.

I don't solo string dolls though, I normally have help from my siblings, our tools are just shoelaces and chopsticks.
I really don't think we cut any elastic, unless you only got two stands.

Heyy, I did a thread for teenie gem centaurs, i know its not a little gem but i'd be suprised if they are much different. Hope this helps. There seems a lack of tutorials for them.

Thanks for the offer of help! I don't have mine home yet... probably will take another month or so of waiting! I'll see if I can get down there... or try to figure it out myself...!

 

I strung my centaurs today although I use 5 strings and I replaced the elastic with thicker Dollmore elastic - they stand like a rock.

I did have an issue with the upper part of one of my blue centaurs legs. One of the pieces had been sanded more so the colour was quite a few shades lighter. I will have to give it a rubbing back to bring the colour to the right shade again.

 

Well my centaur arrived but im disapointed, the two arms are full of resin so i cant put the strings, so my shale dont have arms ; ; , the lower body dont fit well in the centaur part, but dont mind because the body is for my FCE Aphan girl in normal skin, the fit very well, so they dont make it girl because dont want, the girl hip fit perfectly.

 

You need to contact Soom right away. It sounds like the arms of your Shale slipped past quality control, but Soom is good about fixing things like this. Try to get photos of the problem so that they can see what's wrong. I am betting that they'll send new arms if you show them that there's something wrong with yours. Unfortunately, it's Friday, so you might not get a response until Monday, but the sooner you post on the Q&A, the sooner the problem will be addressed.

I'm sorry that you are having issues with your doll. That's no fun! But don't worry too much, because Soom has a good reputation for customer support! They always try their hardest to fix problems so their customers are happy! You just need to show them that there's a problem with your doll's arms and hopefully they'll have some arms available to send soon! Good luck and I hope things work out for you!

 

does that mean that if our human torso doesnt fit in the horse body without sanding that is an issue to contact them about too? I've tried to string mine and the buttocks just dont want to sit in the horse frame. I remember someone else mentioning this too.

Have to admit they aren't as clean with their sculpting on the inside with some of the pieces

 

It would be worth a try! It might depend on how bad the fit is though. But if there's some extra resin on the inside of the horse piece that's preventing the abdomen piece from fitting, they might consider it a defect. Take photos of the problem area, take photos of how the pieces don't fit, and post on the Q&A and ask what they think.

 

I double checked (b/c i feel so paranoid about emailing a company then find out I wasted their time lol). it will fit, but it's darn tight -- so I might just sand ever so lightly on the inside of the horse part just so it's secure but not to the point of chipping off some bit should i try to move pieces. : ) so phew. now to just figure out how to string..

am I right in guessing that the back two horse legs each have their own string. Then I do the front horse legs up and through the torso to the head like a normal Soom doll and then have one piece of string going horizontally for the arms? I only have Luts centaurs to go by and they have a peg around the leggies so the front horse legs are independent of the human torso.

If anyone happens to have any suggestions for the elastic measurements that I need to cut that would be awesome, I keep fiddling with it and end up dropping pieces while trying to string it in there lol

 

We sanded my guy until he fit relatively well, there's a bit of a gap if you tilt it but he wears a shirt which hides it anyways.
The back two horse legs are like the LUTS centaur but instead of one string per leg, I used one string for both, so if you just joined your LUTS back legs string where they meet at the sphere catch at the front, it would be like the Soom guy.
I did mine like this, I pulled the loop of string from one foot, bottom leg part, top leg part, torso and then back through the other legs' parts.
The front horse legs are like if you strung a human doll, and the waist is just this hulking horse body. xD

 

I tell soom the problem in the Q&A, i hope the can fix it.

Yeah, that definitely is a huge problem! I'm sure Soom will sort it all out! Nessa looks beautiful as a centaur!

Ok - phew! Took some finaggling but I got her all strung :3

I'm half tempted, when I finally decide how to blush the horsey parts, to give her separate strings for the back legs and maybe even the front legs if possible. She poses alright, but the mid section of the horse body kinda helps make her floppy when it wants to bend on its own. Not sure how Luts got theirs to not do that (maybe longer resin pieces on the inside?) but maybe something I can mod in the future.

Still. Pink centaur. Pink centaur! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Nuts... now I want a blue one. /shakesfist (...and purple and green... and and... XD)

 

Well my two centaurs also arrived today. Stringing was pretty easy but they are quite loose now, I have to work that out. The human torso doesn't really fit into the centaur body but at least you can't see that since both of mine wear the witch biweekly outfits. The pink looks great but the blue is more green than blue. Anyways I love them to pieces

My centaurs are home! I have to agree with the butt not wanting to fit into the centaur body. It's fiddaly and kinda gappy, but I need to work with them I just got them strung. I was surprised at how green the blue boy is, I love how it looks. Still it is more green than blue. I'll post pictures of them soon!

 

I can't wait to see pics of the blue (well.. green) centaur. I think that's the one that has yet to be revealed on here.

I hope they do another release and do like a lavender, that would be so cute!!

Wow I love that blue. I think the greenish color to it is great, but I like greens more than blue so it just boils down to personal preferences.
Baaah I can't get enough of these soom centaurs haha, they're so cool.

 

The blue centaur its very pretty, if i have enought money i have order the both but well i choose pink for my girl, lucky you that have arms ; ; , i hate my bad luck.

 

I went a little crazy on the centaurs, I now own 6 and 5 are home. I'm a Sagittarius so I used the it's my birthday as an excuse to get them. I'll have to get a picture of the whole herd soon, tho I'm still waiting on my LS centaur to get home :/ but I'm so glad these two are here. Need to get them eyes tho.

Lil Spark, I'm so jealous! You have both those cute dresses XD I found out about them too late to get one. They look adorable on your girls ^^ do you know what color of eyes and wigs you're going to use yet? (I have to admit, I'd be itching to try one of my napidoll wigs on the pink one, lol)

 

I ordered those dresses with my Bygg and Beyla centaurs on the last possible day. I didn't know on which dolls I would use them but I already loved that dress for the sweet witch and when it was released in two colours in LG size I couldn't say no. And soon after my purchse the LG centaurs were released in matching colours for the dresses They will also get wigs, eyes and blushing in matching colours

I just wish soom had more mature msd bodies for these guys. All my msds are supposed to be adults but Melody, my adamelli, is so.... Flat <w> considering I was as flat as she is for only a few months when I hit puberty, and the fact she's supposed to be a mother of two, her lack of breasts disturbs me a bit XD anyone know what companies may be compatible? I'd love to simply switch out the top of the torso if at all possible

But the problem is her arms AND legs are closed by resin ... That's really depressing... Hope Soom can/will fix that soon ...
I already heard about resin in arms, so I was prepared for the moment when I got her, because I don't have so much luck recently~ But that was unexpected .___. ...

 

100% agree! My Ace, Tuulikki, is a bit of a show off when it comes to her clothes, and it bothers me pretty often that there's really nothing there for her to show off~ 8P I don't want a huge glamour bust, just a little more than the two mosquito bites she's currently got~
