Soom Faery Legend "Nenad" Discussion

I'd love to buy this gorgeous Faerie... But I think the price will be a bit prohibitive, going by the price of their other limited Mini Gems I'll have to unhappily make do with the gallery posts of others!

 

It looks like she has resin wings... This is what I've been wishing for!

We've been rambling about this over on the speculation thread, but I can safely say (though not so safe for my wallet!) that I'll definitely be getting her!
She's pretty much exactly what I was hoping for, and I have so much hope for some more vivid fairies in the future!
Even if they just stick with Soom's safe resin colour area, could you imagine a tan fairy with red and gold colouring or a grey fairy with purple and pink colouring? The possibilities here are endless!

Either way, I suspect this series might turn into my favourite thing Soom have ever done!

I'm already well and truly screwed for the month thanks to Soom and Rosen Lied and Custom House (though this one was 2nd hand).
I can safely say I am SO RELIEVED the first little gems were boys, and that Coquina was too simple for my tastes... otherwise I'd be financially screwed right now.. more so than it looks like I'm going to be!

I hope they let us know which months these faeries will be released (I suspect it won't be every month) so we can be prepared for doom!

 

It looks like she's a tiny version of an existing md that's SD size, Topaz. I think I saw the same tapered clear resin feet. It doesn't look like they are using the same concept for "fairy hands" but maybe they kept the ears as well? I have to say, the wings are stellar from what I can see. Maybe it's a way for those of use who can't afford the giant SD+ mds to own a tiny soom?

 

Nenad is so beautiful, I was also wishing for bright coloured fairy but this is a good beginning! Her colors are pretty and natural, I really really hope she isn't as pricey as the tiny gems. I really liked Uyoo Sparkling forever and it was one of first dolls I saw and got me into this hobby, and this is so much more awesome! Resin wings?! I just have to get that. Love you, Soom. :'D

She's not a Little Gem, she's a Mini Gem.

 

I wonder how much they will be asking for her. Soom usually has I feel very reasonable prices and I look forward to getting her, but I always want to know what my wallet is in for

 

I can't get this girl out of my mind >_< I keep feeling she'd be perfect to perch on my Amber's shoulder.

Misuka - I was assuming that she might be about $300 to $350, based on the limited Mini Gems.

Unfortunately for me, even if she was listed at the price of a basic Mini Gem, I wouldn't be able to afford her right now But she's so gorgeous. I envy those who are in a position to buy her!

 

I personally aren't super fascinated with this first one. I'm hoping that they might make a male one in the future. I'm imagining a cute boy with wings, now that'd be something I'd be more interested in hehe~

I like how she is a Moss Fairy and not a flower. I kind of like the idea of forest fairies!

 

I think I will wait for a little guy also. I have two other tiny girls about her size, but alas, no tiny guys.

 

She looks so adorable in that picture, I am officially hyped. Now I'm a bit happy that I didn't jump on Coquina the second I had the funds.

 

I think she's adorable! 40cm seems huge to me for a fairy though.... I wish they would come out with a doll in this style around 20cm.

 

What can she fit in? She looks soo cute but 30 cm, that's tiny.

 

She really is lovely, I adore her feet! However I don't think I'm going to be captured by her face

As for size, I'm fairly certain she's that barbie sized height? 30 CM/12 inches (I don't know anything about this height at all... but she wears a size 4 wig and Soom says this about the Mini Gem Shoes:

This one may not win me over... but a gray one... *drools* first covell and now this! i have never been a fan of the fairy feet or resin wings... but I have always wanted a minigem. come on tan and gray!

 

I really just want to steal those wings and if she is as small as she looks then I'm out.
Though I'm generally not digging her anyways, just the wings. lol.

Ditto. A boy with intense blue wings please! I like that outside the box thinking. I mean at least give her a boyfriend or a brother or something. XD But she is gorgeous, just wish Soom would give people time to recover from their last limiteds lol.

 

Oh, she looks promising so far! The wings and soft colors are very pretty, though I'd need to see a closeup of her face to know if I like it enough to buy her. I hope she truly does have better jointing too, from the pic I can't tell how posable she is.

 

Wow, she's absolutely gorgeous. Thankfully I don't really do tinies or else I'd be in love! But faeries aren't very special for me because I have an easy way to get amazingly detailed faery wings for $30 or less. There's a series of sculptures called Night Fairies which have these amazing detachable magnetic wings which I can steal and attach to dolls. Plus I get a pretty statue to decorate my house with every time.

However, I think Soom's done a beautiful job sculpting her, and I can't wait to see more!

A boy would be wonderful, seeing as the only boy in this size I know of is Souldoll's Kimmy and they haven't made him for years. My tiny Limwha girl could use a boyfriend!

Looks like they've rescupted the hands too, which is great as that was the only thing I never really liked about the minigems before.

 

Soom has officially lost their minds, how many dolls have they done this month :O wow!

 

Her face looks like Aren to me. I love her though, hopefully they won't do any more new dolls for awhile, I need to get her, and recover.

 

I hope she has fairy ears like Topaz has, cept hers are her actual ears and not ones that can come off and be put back on

That's what I thought too! Which makes me thrilled as I've spent the last 2 weeks saying, 'I hope she's like Aren' xDD

I seem to remember them saying that this line won't be monthly, and neither will the Remaining story line (next little gem, a girl most likely, will probably be released in August but this could change).
So hopefully monthly the only thing to still worry about is the Pella storyline... and then all these new special order dolls.

 

I just hope that she has a ordering period as long as a regular MD

 

I'll be ordering her on day 1 so I'm not sure I care too much if she's up for one week or 3 weeks!
I just can't wait to see more pictures at this point, as I already know she's coming home!

June has been a bad wallet month. THREE dolly purchases made! ^_^;;

 

I don't think Soom would go to all the trouble of a new sculpt, redesigned body, and new parts just to only make a limited number. It'll take me at least a week to get some monies so I really hope she is for sale for a little while. I can't imagine the after market prices if she doesn't sell well (could end up as expensive as a SG!)

 

I really don't think she'll be a limited quantity. Soom surely know they can make more cash by making something a limited order period (gives them the potential to sell hundreds instead of just 10 or whatever).
Plus the limited number dolls seem to be going into the ORDER CHANCE section of the site. 'Chance' I think refers to you MIGHT be able to get them, but only if you get there first xD
Limited Edition to Soom I think means, limited time period.
I would assume the faries will be up for the first couple of weeks in July!

I wonder if the Faery Legend Line and the Remaining Story line are going to be every two months?
It would make sense if they alternated, and that seems to be what's happening here.
Remaining Story was June, Faery Legend will seemingly be July. I was told that the next Remaining Story doll should be out in August, so perhaps the next Faery Legend after this one will be September?

For those asking: holy cow can they wear Barbie outfits! Trust me; as someone who has over 157 barbie outfits for just 2 Mini Gems: they can wear barbie clothes. Now I just have to figure out what to do with dozens and dozens of naked barbies and zillions of silly little plastic shoes.

 

What gets me is she's so erm..realistic, I mean as realistic as a fairy can be! I don't know what's happening to me, I didn't really like SOOM before but I was taken aback by the lovely owner pics of Chalco, then pining over, and arguing like a demon in defence of, the recent issue of Beryl and now I want this little fairy too! Someone help me!

 

Soom is really amazing lately. I may have found another favorite company. Can you imagine a shelf filled with 12 different fairies, all one for each month of the year?

 

i really want this girl... i already have some resin wings from fairyland, and i just love them, but soom oh my gosh if they are colored resin and that big i want!

i could so easily see her being a poor changling >> to fit in with my group of dolls.
some times being a gamer makes it easyto justify getting cute dolls.

 

I'm lucky that I simply don't care about my dolls fitting in with each other! ::laughs::
As long they have a similar aesthetic with the way they're dressed so they all look good together, I'm not so bothered if the sizes don't match up.
Like, I have loads of Soom tinies and then a Custom House Petite Ai. The Petite Ai girl looks MASSIVE against everyone else because she's a little taller, has a massive head and a HUGE body. She's just a totally different style even though she's the same basic size as the Soom and Bambicrony tinies. Then I have a Bisou Ai too who's just TEENY.
And my Souldoll SD girl looks tiny compared to my Super Gem.
This could also all be because all my dolls are fantasy and so they don't have to seem as if they're the same race and from the same universe.

I'm still in love with this girl today, and have a lot of hope for the series as a whole!
Lots of fairies for me!

 

Gahh D: I am smitten with this pic ; ; I have to wait and see the rest of the images before i make up my mind. I wasn't hoping for a moss fairy but her looks are so adorable! I'm sure I can fit a fairy in my group as my main big girl is half fairy. I was also eyeballing dolls that can fit barbie clothes or stuff I can easily get around me D: Although at first glance I though Aren, but her face is too angular in comparison so I doubt Soom will make this new special line in any relation to the basic minigems.

YAY! I'm so thrilled!!

Well, I ordered her 30seconds after she went on sale earlier today, and added the bi weekly outfit just now.
She'll totally paid off so, long wait ahead!

There are a few things I'm disappointed about, but overall she's the best doll Soom have released since Cuprit I think so I'm generally thrilled!

She has a sweet face. I love the lips the most. Abit of teeth in there? That' cute. She looks like she has a similar nose to Breccia as well. But I'm not too fond of the body blushing, which is great since it's an option.

 

Her little face is so beautiful!

I'm disappointed about the tiny disproportionate chest, as well as the really boring eyes - I have yet to find any non pupil eyes in 8mm, especially not glittery ones, so I was really counting on Soom to give her amazing default eyes.
I also thought the feet were transparent so was sad when I found out they weren't, and would have liked much bigger ears on her.

But I'm just being a perfectionist here xD
I adore her and want her home IMMEDIATELY, especially now they've released a much better dress for her!

I'm passing on Nenad, based on personal preferences, however I am so excited for future ones. I LOVE the leg's, I actually like the small chest, it's more fae-ish and I hope that maybe they allow for an option in the future? Otherwise she's lovely and I wish her face stood out more for me because I want a pretty soom faery!

 

I love the legs too, I just wish they were transparent!
But they're beautiful all the same , and I only think about the idea of them being transparent because we've seen Soom do it before!

The chest thing, well, small chests really aren't my thing. ^_^;;
I can see why Soom felt they were more fairy-esque and I guess the way they make the body look disproportionate actually fits in with the fairy theme.
It's not enough to make me NOT get her (as I already have), but I hope to see a bigger bust option next time!
I'm not even talking about huuuuge Breccia boobies here, just ones like the old mini gem body used to have like HERE!

Now a big breasted dark fairy would be amazing xD
