Dialogue Song writing session

Teofil is a modded Doll Leaves Wish with Dika Doll hands.
Benny is a Miracle Doll Vic on a Dollzone body.

They are getting together to write some new material for their band.


Teofil: Ok, let's see what we've got so far.


Benny: That doesn't sound right, did you tune that thing?
Teofil: Oups...


Teofil: Evert... Always... Dances...


Teofil: Ok, you just focus on taking notes.


Benny: This lyric isn't making much sense.
Teofil: Want to start over?
Benny: Yeah, I think we better.

Benny: All right, try out the cord progression again.


Teofil: It's a bit dull.
Benny: It'll sould sound better with the rest of the band.


Teofil: Shit in - Shit out. You can't build a powerful song on a weak foundation.
Benny: Snack break?


Teofil: I don't know were to go with this.
Benny: It is a bit of a mess. Maybe we can simplify?


Teofil: Maybe... This part is supposed to be high energy, but it doesn't go with this bit.

 

Benny: Then just cross out this bit and double the tempo of this bit...
Teofil: Won't that undemine the message?


Teofil: Stop it, Benny. This is starting to feel as if we are working on two different songs.
Benny: Maybe we should? This one isn't working out.


Quiet concentration...


Teofil: Ok, this is what I've got.


Benny: No points for creativity, but we can work with this.

 

Benny: Here's mine.
Teofil: But this is just a lyric, you haven't written the music.


Benny: It goes like this: Dadadada- baowaow, dadadada- babadada...


Teofil: You always do this. You expect others to finish your work for you. When are you going to learn that just an idea isn't enough?
Benny: At least I have good ideas to begin with.


Teofil: Fine, let's just finish this.

Yes, guilty as charged. I write music and play several instruments and, perhaps more importantly in this context, have done so with a good number of... shall we call them "personalities"?
Musicians are funny creatures and bands are strange beasts. But there is a certain kind of magic that happens when creative people work together and I love that.
