"Pushing to Shove" by EarShot is like the theme song for Tovarious' character. Not so much for the chorus but for 2 verses. One goes "I grab the hand that I can't see. Go to a place where I am free and I won't be afraid..." and another that goes "I think about it all the time. You were gone and I'm still here, trying to survive. I won't fail you"

He's a fictional race I made up called an Amillone. Each Amillone is bonded to a human somewhere in the world at birth and spend the first years of their lives learning to survive on their own so that they can spend the rest of their lives searching for the human they're bonded with. They are shapeshifters by nature and they use this trait to survive as well as to protect their charge when they find them. Until they find the person they were meant to protect they feel a pull deep inside. An empty feeling that nothing else can fill. They feel this from the moment they are born until they die or until they find their human. It's funny because Tovi wasn't even the main character in the story I was writing, but the doll somehow fit Tovarious better than it would have Rastallion. Tovi never even made it into the story before the computer crashed and I lost the whole thing. He was just a vague concept and now he has a doll. XD

So yeah, "Pushing to Shove" sums up his character pretty well.

 

'I Want To Know What Love Is' by Foreigner is Kismet's song.

He was born in Romania during the 18th century under the rule of the Ottoman Empire. He was taken by the Turks as a slave and was then sold to a rich merchant named Rasheed.

Chae-ri's original theme song is "Girl", by Frente, which you've probably never heard. It's a light, somewhat dreamy piano piece with really funky and imaginative lyrics. It pretty much sums up Ri-ri in a nutshell: a free spirit who's a little insecure, an attention junkie looking for a bit of affection.

(though she doesn't like loud music) Also, the line I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane just seems to fit her so well, perhaps reflecting upon her lack of emotions and thus, sympathy.

Babik's is song is David Nevue's Sweet Dreams and Starlight. I fell in love with this solo piano song while waiting for him to arrive, so it always reminds me of him. I imagine him wandering lost in a forest whenever I hear it ~

Peach is much more difficult... I'd say it's a tossup between Break your Heart - Taio Cruz or Evacuate the Dancefloor -Cascada. Peach is a dancefloor addict! XD Anyway, the Break your heart is more being humorous... he's under the delusion that his adorableness is enough to break a heart. (o^~^o)/

Calm, calculating, and almost cold, he will choose the more logical path no matter the consequences. But why is he doing this? He doesn't know. What he does know is: he likes blowing things up, it takes his mind off of things he'd rather avoid thinking about.

 

This may sound silly, but the song I picked for Neykon is 'I Stand Alone' from the Quest for Camelot movie soundtrack.
As I was developing his character, that song came on my Ipod and I was just like "THAT'S NEYKON'S VOICE!!"
Plus, the themes of the song match perfectly too. Neykon is a nomadic forest shaman, so the song suits him perfectly!

The only one of my dolls I ever think of when a song comes on is Kiyoshi and its Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.

 

Johnny's theme is "Lonesome Loser" by Little River Band. He's extremely unlucky in love, as girls tend to view him as more of a friend than a boyfriend. But as the song goes, he still keeps on trying!

Alistair's theme is "Geno" by Dexy's Midnight Runners. For some weird reason I thought of that song when I took him out of the package. If I hadn't already settled on the name "Alistair" he'd have been christened "Geno" instead.

I was thinking of how I wanted my third doll to be, character-wise, and I'm still thinking of it. Changing things here, keeping other qualitities.

Her name will be Nouna, and she will be my BBB Apollo's girlfriend; she's supposed to be sort of a hippie/free-spirit - sort of a foil to my BBB's character.

I'm still discovering Alex's true character, so it's difficult to pin-point a song that best describes him. Because Alex is French (his full name is Alexandre Laverdiere, but I call him Alex for simplicity) and his character has been through some tough times. He's come out stronger, but he's questioning life much more now because of his trials & tribulations.

Scythe is a bit of a monster, who's done horrible things for revenge and has been hurt too many times to believe he can ever stop hating. If he wants to let anyone in he's going to have to let them see him, all of him, and he's not sure he ever wants to.

Hands: Little Wonders- Rob Thomas
Hands is a border guard for the ways between this world, and the Otherworld, the world of magic. He's been made nearly immortal. On our side he appears to be a homeless guy, but he deals with demons, wraiths, fairies and dragons on a nearly daily basis. He manages in spite of it all to stay afloat, even cheerful, tenaciously optimistic in the face of what he has to do.

This song makes me feel relaxed. It makes me think of sitting in a Cafe having a coffee or latte. Looking at the cars outside the window at the beginning of sunset and people passing by. The thin drapes on the top of the window and the fern plants on the sides near the door. A male bartender cleaning a cup, and rows and rows of glass cups behind him. People chatting softly across the room. I would stare on the side of the room and there my boy would be, sitting, enjoying a cup of coffee, and reading a book. Looking elegant in his frilled clothes, detailed and yet simple. His thin fingers resting on the handle of his cup. Smelling the scent before it touches his lips, the fumes slowly slipping into the air and diminishing.

 

The song that most reminds me of my doll, Laisren, is Introduction on the Mirror's Edge soundtrack. Though the piece is completely instrumental the song just feels like her, and I think it's a something her character would listen to and enjoy.
