Shopping SOMMUNGCHI doll heads

    1. I found this head on Luts and I'm wondering if anyone knows if they are resin. I really like this head but I don't want to buy it if it's vinyl.

    2. The way it's held to the head looks like a resin doll to me. Vinyl (or at least the vinyl I've handled) tends to be just a "pop on, pop off" method between the head and the head cap.

    3. Well, the fact that the description warns that it might have air bubbles and how the head cap is connected by magnets seems to point to the heads being resin.

      The head caps on vinyl heads aren't usually connected with magnets. Since they are soft, there is usually a bit of a dent around edge of the head cap that catches round the edge of the head so that you can pop the head cap on and off.

      Also, I've never heard of vinyl having problems with air bubbles?

      Edit: And you could always just ask Luts to be sure! They are very responsive and have great customer service.

    4. Thanks! I don't have a Luts account so I couldn't ask on the Q&A board. I might have to make one, but I thought it looked like a resin head! I really like it!
