Sorry, I don't know if there's a topic like this already. I know we all have ideas knocking around in our heads that we mention in WIP threads and such, but they don't have their own threads yet, you haven't started, etc. So why don't we make a place where we can all share our ideas? From your most rediculously ambitious ideas to little things like "I'd like to go back to an old project and fix things" Maybe we can inspire each other to get things done, or give each other new ideas! I'll go first: *ahem* I'd like to someday own 5 60cm-range girls, all sculpted by me, each with a different body type. A slender girl A curvacious girl An athletic girl A plus size girl A petite girl That's an example of a rediculously ambitious idea. 5 SD girls.

Uh, I'm going to list just a few of mine. I have way more than my fair shair of both ambition and creativity so just the ones I have fully drawn out to scale or roughly sketched out add up to around twenty, but I'll share a few dear to my heart ones. 1/4 scale gryphon/ griffin 1/4 scale dragon several 1/4 (about four each male & female) bodies in various shapes 1/4 scale female centaur to go with my still unfinished male centaur every possible fantasy part I can think of for my 1/6 girl
Hmm, I have a few projects in mind letsee... There's a lot of realistic-y animals I want to do, a red fox in addition to the fennec and a number of dog breeds, as well as some other creatures.. but I'm anxious to mention them specifically in case someone else decides to make the same animal and I look at it and go 'oh well that's better than I could ever do', and give up before I begin, ahah *paranoia*. If someone makes one of the same animals by coincidence though that's awesome, I'd love to see more realistic critters too. Anyway there's at least 7 of those ideas in the back of my mind, ranging from tiny to midsize. As well as my unicorn form doll, who only exists in sketch form right now. As well there's a couple established characters I dream of having in bjd form, including Casshern from Sins, and Kaiba from the same title. I don't seem to plan ahead for original humanoid bjds before starting them (so far), they're kinda just 'on a whim', or based on a quick sketch i kinda liked.
When I finish Aalish, and have made several castings of her, all my attention will go into costumes and shoes. I would also like to make a 1/3-scale size room for her, for doing little diorama-type photo-shoots. So I imagine that I will also be making 1/3-scale furniture and room accessories. The doll itself is only a part of the whole. The doll by itself, just sitting on a shelf seems incomplete. A dollhouse, without a doll seems incomplete, and so on. And while I love to see naked dolls, I can't wait to be able to make some clothes and shoes for my doll. That said, and because I love big girl dolls, my next doll is going to be an 80cm ball-jointed doll, of a young girl. I think it will be a challenge to model the face, just right, and to get the proportions correct.
I agree! If you feel comfortable doing so, please include your sketches if you have any. I might draw up a little scale sketch of my 5 muses too. I'd also like to sculpt a thick-set 60cm guy. Not fat, but not super-overdone ripped. A softer take on a strong guy.
I would like to do a yoshida style young girl, based on my niece, and a tween based on my other niece, and a young angel boy based on my nephew.
I'd like to FINISH a couple of projects I have underway. I'd also like to try my hand at sculpting heads from photographs.
I'm pretty happy doing tinies atm. Btw, I've finished Flat-Face today and already moved on XD. I want to make loads of animals but I also enjoy making different body types. My plans include: A Slim Red Fox (She's half done) A Fat (Flat's body, perhaps?) Mole, A shorter slim Mouse (New Body), And a Yo-SD Panda. I don't plan to show any until I'm done and strung them though ^^; People tend to request funny animals of me though. I've been asked for a giraffe. D:

One day I will like to make heads of real life people like Fan Bing Bing but slightly stylized so they won't look awkward next to my collection of iplehouse dolls and fit them on existing doll bodies as making my own doll body is still to far away. Study joints of different dolls and focuses on designing (designing only) a body that's aesthetically pleasing and yet flexible enough. Keep a collection of different jointing systems in my notebook and make jointed fantasy parts for my dolls like wings, fairy limbs, mermaid tails etc. love to make them fantasy pets that are joined too. Very ambitious I must say. I am not even remotely close!
