Is it the color of the resin? I mean, will you have to paint all her body if you want a porcelain-like skin color? It is possible to add color to the resin and then you have the finished color, isn't it?
sorry for being late on this, but I think that he just sent them a head/torso/hands, and it was intended that they were going to sculpt the arms/legs for him. I think there was confusion about what was wanted and that was why the price kept changing...
Dagger, I'm really excited about this scuplt and it's neat seeing the ready-to cast model. Keep up the awesome work! I am wondering about her stance - but you already mentioned that so you've probably taken care of it by now.
She's adorable Joankagami: The moldrelease is probably what makes her so shiny, I don't think the finished doll will have that problem.
I really love her unique look(especially her legs, so strong and atheltic) Anyway, how does she look when she post?
What a great achievement to see your amazing creation actually cast in resin! She's looking great and oh so cute. I just can't wait to see her fully customised with face-up, pretty eyes and a wig!
oh wow! she's so pretty! o,o I guess some parts of her are shiney and some are matter, cuz she's not completely done yet! hmm. interesting! Yeah, I thought she was standing a bit strangely. Like one of her legs seemed to be a bit more forward that the other. But, maybe it was that they just posed her a lil off or something! It's still an amazing achievement on your part though, Dagger! Many gratz!
I love your girl, she's so very pretty, I did have a question though or two about the process. With the sculpy, foil inside thing, did you sort of mold it and then layer the paper clay on top? I am a little confused on that part. :3
Oh wow she came out wonderfully! I would love to see her as the light tan concept version..>o>..and to see her customized!
She looks gorgeous dagger! It's really awesome to see all the progress you made, gives me hope that maybe I can accomplish making my own doll too XD
What a thread, what a journey, and WHAT A DOLL! My gosh, she is truly amazing! Congratulations on the achievements so far and good luck with the rest of it! I am green with envy
i followed your thread on DoA and i was wondering how it was going good thing i noticed this thread shes amazing!
I've been wanting to know as well >< Would love to find out how the casting went and how she turned out.
omg! XD i just had to say if you look at the second picture on page 6 it looks like shes got a little something between her legs. XD sorry i was looking at it and i was like O_O wait i thought it was a girl, then i realized it was just the hand XD anyways the cast looks amazing *O* its so shiny too!
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I come back to this thread a lot trying to figure out how I'm going to make my BJD, and your sculpt is one of my favorite BJDs I've ever seen. I kinda wish you sold them.
I love her!! I love the atypical body shape. So many other dolls are..not to be offensive..anorexic looking. I love to see fullish figured dolls!
