I really want to turn my girl into a doll in the future ^^, going to wait for those I have on order to arrive first though including a elder scrolls inspired elf girl I always play

Wish I’d seen this thread earlier! Nice to see so many players on here.
I used to play FFXI many years ago but as life and friends moved on I quit and moved on to WoW for a while. Once FFXIV:ARR was brought out hubby and I decided to give it a whirl and we’ve played constantly until fairly recently. Again life and friends moving on plus some pretty nasty FC drama took away most of the reasons to play so I’ve not logged in for a while although I’m still subbed.
My main is a lvl 80 BRD Viera (she was a Highland Hyur originally) with all her gathering jobs at 80, however I have a few alts including 3 x Lalafells. Hubby’s main is a Lalafell with most of his jobs plus all crafts and gatherers at 80. He was kind of the FC crafter. We’re on Phoenix.

 

I have been really tempted to get into FF14 because a bunch of people I know online are playing. But I'm worried it'll take over my life ^^; I don't have much free time, and I should use it for drawing and stuff. Otoh, gotta have some relax time, so maybe I should try it and see? I think I'd be playing on PS4. o_o;

I have a lot of different characters on FFXIV because I like making them look like my existing OCs (which I have quite a few of).

I mainly play Black Mage as I find it fun and easy to understand, but I've tried a few diff classes on various characters (Arcanist, Paladin, Rogue, Archer...)

I'm planning to try Dark Knight on my Hyur main once I level her to 50.

I'm still in ARR because every time I level a character to 35 or so, I end up making another character and doing it over again

I managed to get to my Hyur main level 43 without getting the urge to make another character this time, so I think this one is sticking.

Here's my four current characters! Aster is my current main, Vi'ridi was my original main.

I'm actually planning to make Aster into a BJD at some point, but I'm still looking for sculpts that suit her. Risel is already shelled as my current (and only) BJD though!

 

That sounds like a really fun idea, I kind of want to try that too. I feel like a lot of them would be pretty hard to recreate but they would look really cool

Any ideas what you would like? I've been mulling over what I should try to make. My girl wears the Uraeus coat a lot so I was thinking that, or something close to it!

 

If I do try making any FFXIV sets, I'll probably be aiming for something like the Blue Mage lv50 AF gear, or maybe the Red Mage's. In terms of single items though, I like the Sky Pirate casting coat, or the Skallic jacket of healing.

So...anyone see the Y'Shtola Dollfie Dream that's coming out? What are your thoughts on her?

 

It looks cute, but I prefer my Y'shtola doll that I made from Iplehouse Isis. I feel the Volks face doesn't really resemble Y'Shtola b/c of the style. Also, I would really worry about staining with that outfit. That said, if anyone wants her go for it! I love to see that Square Enix did this and would love to see more doll collabs in the future!

 

I also don't think the face sculpt is quite right for her, but I'd like to see it IRL as opposed to the stock photos to get a better idea. I'm tempted to get her anyway tbh - two of my hobbies colliding is murder on my wallet!

I'm glad to hear most of you have seen her. I agree with you, the face doesn't really suit her. But its still awesome they made her.

 

I agree too. The face isn't right, but I do think it's pretty cool they did that. Luckily, they didn't choose to make a G'raha Tia doll, so I'm safe. I'm still waiting on the Crystal Exarch figure, which I preordered the moment I saw it on the table on the fanfest stream, lol.

 

I sadly missed all the Ser Aymeric stuff since I joined a few months after Shadowbringers was released. But that isn't stopping me from making my own >.< It is still pretty cool that we are getting an official final fantasy doll though. Nice just to be in the mainstream I guess?

Thanks. I was so happy with the way they turned out. Poor Thancred's tattoo is flaky b/c of temperature changes, but I still adore them to bits. I also got a doll for my Miqote girl who is getting work done. I also need to find one of my main miqote boy. xD

 

I main a Highlander Dragoon on Spriggan (Chaos)! I'm passively interested in shelling her in the future, but I have no solid plans for now.

I play a Miqo'te (Moon or Sun, I play both interchangeably unless I use fantasia for other races >.>) on the Crystal data center on the Diabolos server! I actually haven't played in a couple months due to my work schedule changing a bit but I'll be able to play again in a couple weeks. It'd be lovely to say hello if given the chance :3

I'm playing on Chaos - Ragnarok since the early beginning of the game, so more than 10 years, now.
I played a sun miqo'te i turned to male as soon as it was allowed :3
I'm main Tank (Gunbreaker), and second heal (Astro), but i actually have everything leveled up 80, including crafters and gatherers.
Lot of time playing x)
I also playing an aora raen (because i have to create many OC >w< ) who's ninja and machinist :3

I main as a Veena clan Viera on the Behemoth server! She's loosely designed after albino rabbits (pink hair/red eyes). I'm not very far yet (just started a couple of months ago), but I've been leveling her as an Arcanist and a Weaver.

 

Turn my catboi into bunboi. Havent touched MSQ yet, still at post-shb Been leveling my sage and reaper to 80 first before continuing. I'm in typhon and when I login after maint, boiii it was at 1k queue

 

@FaraIDK oh I FEEL you on the queue time. I'm balmung which is already overpopulated so new expansion launches are always hell, but this time I had a 4.7k queue saturday evening. Took almost 3 hours!!!

Three!!!! Hours!!!!!

 

Everyone is suffering with queue time, it's crazy! And @FaraIDK , I switched my catboy too.

Ahhh everyone is dealing with queue savage as well huh? I haven't been able to log in at all due to work and irl things going on so I'm trying my best to avoid spoilers x.x Good luck with queue times everyone! An in-game meet up would be really cool! I'm currently sitting in the queue myself. Only 600 people ahead of me now, so I still have another half hour or so to kill.

I actually finished Endwalker’s story a few days ago. It was a great end to that arc, though I think I prefer the Shadowbringers expansion a bit more.

 

I am so curious about what sanctuary is going to be like, and I also changed my catboy into a bunny and haven't looked back since.
I might spend more time staring at his adorable face than I am actually focusing on doing stuff in game...

I actually got my first gaming laptop this Christmas and ffxiv was the first game I wanted to get for it because I’ve really been enjoying Black Desert Online, which is sort of similar (always been an Xbox gamer so unfortunately I’ve never gotten the chance to play it before - curse you Microsoft!) Logged onto the website for the first time only to find out they’ve stopped the sale of the trial because the servers are clogged up, so I’ll have to wait a little bit until I can have a go. I do very much enjoy seeing / hearing about everyone else’s adventures (and characters, specifically) though so I suppose I’m still a fan from afar at the moment.

Thank you! He's going to be a Dollshe Rey Lewis who is on his way to me now. Once he gets here I have eyes and wigs in mind but I have to see what size he actually ise before ordering anything. I'm also in talks with a 3D printer person to make his ears...clothes are going to be the hardest part.

Hehe, thank you! There are plenty of bunny ear accessories but his ears are kinda different than all the ones I've found (they're usually smooth where he has tuffs of hair). Yup, I'm either going to work with a friend to make him clothes and/or commission another friend of mine.

 

Just a suggestion, but I've actually ordered some nice Miqo'te ears from VesnushkaHandmade on etsy/IG and they made some wonderful looking Viera ears too!

I main paladin/mch but reaper is creeping up to a main at this point too. I play a female Roe and have been wanting to shell her as a BJD since I entered the hobby but man do muscular body options suck serious ass.

 

I main Dancer as well! Though, I don't have anything at max yet, lol

 

I finished leveling everything this week xD Now I'm just waiting on the patch to play again. Dancer is still my favorite but I've really enjoyed reaper.

 

Reaper is fun! I'm a noob who hasn't finished MSQ yet but because of a stalker issue I had to make a new character. Now that that's been handled I may go back to my main bun boy.
