So angry at Elfdoll

    1. (not sure in which sub forum to put this so move it if necessary)

      I ordered 3 Rainydoll heads from the Elfdoll site 2 months ago, Hazy, Mir and Vivien. I had waited to save the money and for them to come on sale again for so long and rejoiced planning their characters and making them clothes to wear when they arrive.

      A month ago I got an email from Elfdoll saying they have cancelled my order because I haven't paid within 7 days. I had on the same day I had ordered. I sent them the paypal transaction ID, but got no reply from email or at their Q&A board. I started a paypal case to communicate and they reinstalled the order again. As the paypal policy dictates, I did not close to case wanting to wait until I got the heads as you can't open a new case or claim for the same transaction.

      Now I got a new email stating that they have cancelled my order again and that there is no refund BECAUSE I didn't close the case before I got anything from them! :evil: I am so flabberghaster by all of this! I trusted them! This is blackmail and they want to keep both the product and the money? It is really an outrage. I'm so sad to escalate the claim and ask paypal to get my money back. I really wanted those heads and there is no other place to get them now that Elfdoll has no retailers anymore. But what can I do? My trust in them is gone and three characters that already lived are dead... :(

      Has this happened to anyone else? I really need help and advice!
       
    2. Sorry to hear about this problem.

      Did you use your credit card to pay through Paypal? If so, then file the case with your credit card company, citing that the store cancelled your order and refused to refund you.

      Hopefully things will work out.

      The worst part is that it's unlikely I'll ever get those dolls now as BJDs are so hard to find on secondary market and the prices are double the retail. :(
       
    4. hi i am having trouble with elfdoll at the moment too!
      i ordered a lovelydoll yumi with the extra sleeping head and the yumi faceplate, when the box arrived the sleeping head was missing. i posted on the hospital board as soon as i realised it wasnt there and got a reply about a week later that they would look into it, when i hadn't heard anything more in 2 weeks i posted again on the hospital board with no response, i waited another week and posted on the q&a board (almost 2 weeks ago) and again they have not even looked at my post. maybe i should check with paypal too, although it may be too late to claim now. It is so dissapointing as had this gone smoothly i would have ordered from them again, dami is a lovely doll!
      EDIT just checked again and finally have a response, they will recieve the heads next week and send mine out asap, what a relief!!
       
    5. I'm so happy that your experience had a more happy ending.

      This is so weird behaviour from Elfdoll as all I have done was pay immediately and wait for my stuff. I really don't understand why they treat their customers so badly.
       
    6. Have you tried contacting them again to talk about this? It sounds customer unfriendly of them to not contact you first and ask you to close to case, before cancelling your order. Elfdoll taking your money without shipping the heads is unacceptable, but kind words often help to convince the opposing party much better than angry words.
      If talking doesn't work, you should contact your credit card company. If that doesn't work, you could file internet fraud at the IC3 website, but I hope Elfdoll will either refund or ship your order.

Yes, I did send them email, paypal message and posted on their Q&A board saying the exact same thing: I would have been nice to talk about this or at least give some sort of warning before such ultimatum. They have really been so rude and unreasonable with all this. I was so annoyed they cancelled the first time just because they didn't check and see my payment (and then I was the one to apologise not them!), but cancelling again because I wouldn't roll up and give myself to their mercy with the paypal case... What are they thinking?! An open case never hurt anybody, and what would I suppose to do if they decided to keep both the money and product and I couldn't open a new claim. So unreasonable..
       
    8. That sounds so odd - I have always met exceptional kindness and helpfulness from Elfdoll. Either you both have had the misfortune to have epic misunderstandings with ED, or they must have changed staff...!

    9. I think it might as well be a case of really bad staff as the person who wrote to me was cold, impersonal and exceptionably rude.
       
    10. Oh gosh this is absolutely unacceptable, recently Elfodll erase their delearship with one of the most important store in USA, and now what their customers get is this poor cheap service?
      I hope you can sorted it out Emilia,i'm really really sorry that this happens to you!

    11. Unfortunately ED is not the kind company we're used to well known,recently had several problems,and this is not the very first time i read complain about their way to treat customers/buyers.
      Emilia convert the claim in dispute thur paypal,take back the money.Paypal without any tracking numeber won't allow seller to take money,so go for it.I know that the heads are lost at this point but believe me if i walking in your shoes i would not trust this company anymore.

      I have escalated the claim and Elfdoll has until 5th of Nov. to respond. No word yet.
       
    13. I had a order snafu with Elfdoll earlier this year, but it got fixed--not until they had my money for 30 days though! I got my doll with no explanation or any response, but I did get a gift of dolly undies and toy. I hope all this gets straightened out!

      i still haven't had any response since they said they were sending out the head.
      i reported the missing item on th 20th september and all comunication has been started by me with LONG waits for a response. I have just posted on the message board asking for a refund if the head still isn't ready, will let you know how i go, wish me luck, and i hope everything works out for you too
       
    15. Any more news about this?? I'm worried! I have an order with Elfdoll, so far so good but I don't want it to end like this!!! :(
       
    16. I am also having a problem with Elfdoll. November 8th I ordered Hazy head and a few other things. In three weeks I asked whether they have shipped my order and got an answer that the head will be shipped even earlier than it was planned to ship. In one more week I suddenly got a PayPal refund for the head. Elfdoll has cancelled my order without notifying me! I asked about the reasons and it was a bad excuse: they said that they couldn't make a head since it would take too much time. I was very upset but couldn't change the situation.
      Few days ago (two months after my order was placed) I got the rest of my order delivered. The order had tho pairs of shoes in it, but they both appeared to be for the same leg! Also, only one of two pairs of eyes were the color I ordered. I wrote to Elfdoll and sent them photos of shoes and eyes. They answered that we have to wait for DK's desicion.
       
    17. Wow, that is really terrible! You're right; it does seem like they are playing some kind of sick mind game with you. :shudder
       
    18. that is aweful. Im not having issues with elfdoll but I felt so sympathetic because this recently happened to me with angel of dream. it wasnt the company but an aweful seller on ebay. my doll arrived damaged and I got no response untill I opened a ebay case, then I recieved threats that I would recieve no help if I didnt close the case. ebay didnt help at all and things got really stessfull and yucky. it seriously turned me off from the hobby for awhile. I finally got a replacement and I OF COURSE gave him a bad review on his page. He replied that I was spoiled and I treated my doll barbarickly. anyways, you are not alone and Im so sorry this happened, and with a nice company like elfdoll too. :(

    20. I hope it's alright to bump this-- anyone had a more recent experience with Elfdoll? Kinda worried cuz I'm planning on getting a couple Reminisce heads from the company ._.
       
    21. Who was the ebay seller, there are a lot of scam artists on ebay. I hope you did your DoA research before buying the doll and that your issue was an isolated incident.
       
    22. This is all such awful news, I hope Elfdoll can correct whatever is going on with their custom service reps as it doesn't sound good right now.. Sheeesh!
       
    23. Hey I just wanted to check in and say that I hope everything worked out! Everything went really well with Elfdoll and I. They were really friendly and responsive so it sounds to me as though they've really picked up their game. My Lovelydoll Dami is just beautiful and there were lots of lovely little extra presents in my package when I got it! (a wig and a little comb and mirror)
      I hope it got sorted for everyone!
