Hello! I am going to Colorado in February and I'll be taking my camera as always. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for me being in snow and all. I will have a rain coat for my camera and my dolls will be well dressed. Any photography advice???
Hi! Snow can trick the camera's exposure meter, and the photos may look grey, or too dark etc. If that happens, try the exposure compensation button. Set +1 or even +2 if it's sunny. Also, if it's cold, the battery will discharge more quickly. Make sure your camera's battery is fully charged, so it won't die on you. Oh, an other one. When you go back inside, leave the camera in your bag (or put it in a tightly closed plastic bag) and let it warm up to room temperature before importing the photos, because going from cold to warm can cause moisture build up in the camera.
I really wish it snowed in south england the pictures with my dolls would be amazing but i live in a boring country lol
If the snow is deepish I would recommend bringing some things your doll can stand on, unless you want the fully submerged look I have dug away at the snow a bit, put down wooden blocks, and recovered it with a thin layer of snow so my doll was more standing on the surface rather than hip deep. You can always just pack the snow down too, but the blocks gave me a more stable surface.

Thanks for this suggestion, I would have never thought of it yet it's so simple ^^ Last year I was way too lazy but I think this year I'm going to give some winter photography a shot.
