Just so no one is confused, I just want to state first of all, this is a boy doll. : ) Alright, so I got into the habit of editing my pictures with a sort of generator, because I was always havign a hard time editing my doll photos on photoshop. Give me anything else, and I can do a whirlwind of things to it. But i've been playing around with my photos now and again, and I've branched away from the "generator" and started editing my doll photos on my own, without any sort of help. So I just wanted a small critique on this shot I put together. * Side note: I already know his hair is quite the mess. xD In my defense, he kept falling over in the grass, and it was windy, not to mention the wig goes down past his knees and I was too lazy to take a hair brush with me. lols.
Personally, I really like the photos. They are lovely and the tweaks look great. Really beautiful background, and makes your doll really stand out. On a mostly unrelated note, since you mentioned that he is a boy, I really don't understand this whole "dressing boys like girls" thing. But, he makes an awfully pretty girl.
Well, this is the only picture where he's dressed as a girl, honestly. lols. It's part of his character. xD He's a crossplayer. ( A cosplayer who cosplays the other gender. ) Though he isn't a crossdresser. He normally has a blonde shorter wig. xD
Ahh, okay, that makes sense I've just always wondered why there were so many boys dressed as girls in the BJD world. I'm not gonna pretend that I'll never put my boy in a dress when I get him, because I'm sure it will happen at least once, but I imagine he will look somewhat disgruntled about it.
Tipsyfox I've wondered the same thing! >_< I figure for a good chunk of the cross dressing boy BJDs owners, they only have one doll so they dress them as a girl until they can get one. (Though that might not be it, though i've seen people say that when there doll cross dresses.) But on the critique note, I think the pictures are lovely! The colors are vibrant and clear and he really pops in the picture! My only negative critique would be the logo. I think instead of black or white you can make them match the color scheme a little more or have them be just the slightest bit see through, so they don't stand out too much. ^_^
"I think instead of black or white you can make them match the color scheme a little more or have them be just the slightest bit see through, so they don't stand out too much." I completely agree with that. The first pic, I thought the name was fading into his hair a bit, though the second one was crystal-clear. Both pics are lovely, and he's very pretty!
Looking good! My only critique (and it's a very very small one) is that in the first photo, the way his hair clip is being cut off at the top is a little distracting. It's just a little blip of pink at the very top of the image. I'd crop it out. But yeah, nice work overall.
