I ordered him in light peach skin! Glad to see someone else ordered because there’s not too much about this doll yet. Though I’ve seen a few Korean and Chinese owners on Instagram. So I decided to go ahead and get in on the preorder

 

Yay, the discussion thread arrives! I'm interested in seeing more of that mild tan.. I hope they cast more of their digital sculpts, one of them is so so cute! I can't wait to see more owner pics of Dohwee as well.

I don't see too many of his pictures. I wonder how many people ordered during the first run?

 

I see on twitter but I think there should be more from the August order? I think most of them are still at the faceup artist.

 

There is no faceup option. I meant to say August orders that were shipped October are mostly probably sent to the faceup artists now, so we do not see many pics yet.

 

These are really neat. But look kind of hard of to order. I look forward to pics!

The order is really on Naver (Korean blog, you do not need an account). I think a lot of smaller artists in Korea do* orders this way. Even Napi does this type of ordering system for international buyers.

I ordered Dohwee in light peach, but was really torn between that and ruddy real. I love how versatile the sculpt is and can't wait to see more owner pictures

I hope they do release some of the digital sculpts too! I need the one that has the heart cheeks face up, love it so much. But there are so many cute ones. Which one you hope for?

 

So happy to see a thread for these cuties~! I told myself I didn't need any more dolls, but Dohwee stole my heart a while back. I wasn't expecting another preorder so soon but figured since I'd recently gotten my tax return he could be an xmas/birthday present to myself haha. I was torn between ruddy real and mild pale, but went with pale in the end. I kinda wish I'd gotten ruddy real instead, but figure if I desperately want him darker I could try dyeing him.

There are so many beautiful photos of Dohwee on Weibo (from the first batch). I wish there are more Chinese collectors who can share here.

Deok-hyeon is super nice.

If two of you thought of it, Dohwee must be a perfect candidate for the character! I don't think it's too bad. There are only a handful of Dohwee owners at this point and I'm sure yours will be different enough.

On a side note, I ordered Dohwee in Pale Peach... Maybe I should have chosen Ruddy Real... Hmm...

 

The casting seems to be finished or at least partly finished!
I wonder if Deok Hyeon will do the stringing all by herself. The number of heads look to be about 200! Big order! :O

I’m getting excited too! Seeing the resin at the castor almost makes me wish I’d gone for the ruddy color or the lighter color but I’m sure I’ll love the doll anyways! They all look so gorgeous!

 

I think a lot of the orders came from China. Many of the dolls I’ve seen with faceups are from China, and I think they really support Deok Hyeon there.♥️ I’m glad she is able to get a lot of orders. But like everyone I wish I went for ruddy real. But I came to this realization right after I placed my order. But oof!

 

THOSE DARKER SKIN TONES...!! Love it.. I hope I can afford one of her dolls someday.

But as I understood the plan was to finish Feb or March so, March isn't too bad, I guess.

 

I have a feeling shipping will be further delayed as Korea has now over 2000 cases of Covid-19.

On the contrary, I ordered a doll in peach and immediately regretted not ordering ruddy real. But now I feel like I made the right choice! Tan is still so beautiful, but I think I do like Peach best on Dohwee!

 

Some artists swear masks are a must-have, but some say they damage the faceup/head more than protect it. The legs do seem to be not padded! :O I didn't realize that, but I think it will be ok? My Latidolls only have a single sheet of bubblewrap round around them (save the head) and sandwiched between pillows, but they are all ok... Granted they are smaller though.
