I'm looking for some simple patterns to make for my DES. I want to make a multi-paneled skirt and am unsure as to how to go about that? Can anyone help me out? I've found one simple pattern, which I would like to share. http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/Hobbit/Female/Hobbit_Skirts.htm Basically follow the instructions with your doll's measurements. It's pretty easy! Unfortunately it's not what I'm looking for.
I'm not sure what exactly it is you want.. but mm.. Take the waist (or hip if you want a low skirt) measurement, and divide it into the number of panels you want your skirt to have. That'll be the measurement for the "top" part of each panel (lets call it [A]). If you want a flared panel skirt, just draw a deformed rectangle: smaller (measurement [A]) on top, wider below (just add a few cms to [A]). The height of your rectangle is the length of your skirt. Something like this: __ /__\ If you want a fitted panel skirt, do the opposite. Instead of adding to [A] for the bottom, minus off abit. Note-- [A] does not change: ___ \__/ Just join up the pieces, sew up the hem all around, leave an opening, and add a waist band. Did this help? ops:
Here's another simple one.. http://www.simpledreamsdolls.com/skirtutorial/index.html I don't think you'll find exactly what you need, you'll probably have to fiddle around with one of these and customize it your own.
