I took some suggestions from my first critique request and applied them to Guen's new face up. I know I need to be a bit cleaner with my lines and I have ordered some nail art brushes to help with that. Any other constructive criticism would be great!

    2. I went to check your previous attempt and I'm not sure if there is any significant improvement with this one. They just seem different to me.
The pic isn't very clear, but it seems that the areas around her eyes are a bit blotched and you should work on your lineart as well which is still thick. Also the blush on her forehead looks a bit too heavy to me. Actually I think that it looked overall better in your previous try, it seemed smoother ).

Honestly I find that it's pretty difficult to give really useful advices when it comes to the first tries as they usually have all the same issues. The only think you can do is to practice a lot and just exercise your hand (I hope it does make sense xD).
You'll get the hang of it eventually.

I would suggest you to post your future attemps on the same thread, so it would be easier to make a comparison between all of them.

That being said, there's no actually "a right way to do this'', there're popular make up artists which have a more artistic, sometimes dirty style, while other are more clean and precise and so on.

Just keep doing your stuff, keep looking for feedback if you want, even though I think that's really too soon to actually say anything about your real skills. Good luck :3.

    4. I really like it! It looks a bit off with the cheeks being so pale vs the blush all around the cheeks maybe a lighter color blush?

    5. Thank you! I had actually debated that when I started this 2nd time, but I liked the color scheme originally. Maybe I'll try it when I re-redo her faceup <3

    6. I really like your color scheme, I think it looks VERY good for a second face up! Keep practicing! The one suggestion I have is to obtain a gray gum eraser, if you do not already have one, as they are so helpful for refining lines, to increase the neatness and symmetry of ones work. Nice work, good luck!

    7. A kneaded eraser? I do actually... tho it's hard for me to see the rough edges sometimes. My husband has a magnifying glass and light for his war hammer figures... I may have to borrow it, thanks for the idea!
