I was going on holidays and made a quick padded bag to carry one of my tinies. It was fun and now I'm looking forward to sewing an actual carrier case.
Looks great!! I never thought to make my own carrying cases, but you've inspired me and now I want to make some for my MSDs since I don't own any premade cases that size. What did you use for the padding?
I used some kind of fusible fleece I had at home. It has glue on one side and you iron it on the fabric.
I am a practical sort... I have a couple and the one I seem to use the most currently is a tennis racket bag. It can fit up to 70cm sd size, has 2 spacious compartments. In one compartment I use a soom zipped foam bag (which comes automatically with their dolls). And the other i can easily fit another sd or msd in bubble wrap/blanket combo with any stands, a puller for heads, and any outfit bits n bobs. Also it looks like a sports bag, not something which can contain many 100s of . I don't like advertising that I am carrying something worth a lot
I know this is from a while ago, but I have been super curious about this topic as well! I've never thought of using a tennis racket bag, but that's a great idea. I recently found this pattern from By Annie, and it's supposed to be a yoga bag, but I think it should work for bigger dolls like 1/3 scale. I've gotten my fabric, but I haven't made it yet. Once I have time for it, I hope it will turn out well!
