About how long is the ShouShou doll production wait times?

 

Just dropping by to share my custom Niko, I gave her a faceup but haven't settled on her final style yet.

We've got a local one-day dolly con this weekend and I really wanted to take this girl, but she's such a chonk that she didn't fit anything I had on hand, so I whipped up a quick five-minute sundress for her. Not her style (I'm leaning more toward colorful/pastels), but at least she's decent, and it has a tail hole in the back!

 

I've just got my Nekoko 3 days ago!


Their body line is really good, and easy to pose!!

 

Glad to see some cuties appearing in here! Christina from Clover Singing said the March orders through them would "hopefully" arrive in October. I am waiting on Tudoudou

Yay! Thank you all for the owner photos! I THINK I successfully put a tan Coco on layaway at BJDivas. I just go the human body, I'm not a fan of the animal feet. But I like the ears and the teeth!

 

Does anyone know if there is a good bust hybrid Option? I would love to get a Nico but my only problem is how small her chest is so I'm looking for hybrid options

 

Do they all come blank? I'm assuming yes, but it'd be nice if I were wrong.

 

They do not currently have faceup at this time. Although I think they were offered with them in the past upon their release

 

Darn! OK. That means finding someone who does anime style face-ups!

 

That is such a beautiful face-up!! Her eyes are just gorgeous too! I've been on the fence about getting her and this is making me want to open up my wallet.

 

Niko is so wonderful! She would make a perfect doll version of my d&d character, Wynnifred. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to keep an eye out for a restock? Or if there will be one?

BJDivas does have a couple of the human versions in stock right now, otherwise, they're the official dealer for outside of China and will definitely announce on their social media channels when a re-release is coming up if you're after the faun version.

Okay, nearly ready to take the plunge on the human version Niko.. not sure if any of you play Genshin Impact, but I feel like she would make the perfect Klee

 

What size eyes are you guys using for your Nikos? I'm guessing size 20 or 22?

Any recommendations of where to get animetic eyes?

 

I been using 22, there's lots of nice ones on Taobao (I use Bhiner).

 

I am considering getting a cat Coco head.
Since the head is available in mdd normal skin; does that mean they can be hybrided with mini Dollfies?
I don't like the look of the shoushou baby body so that would be great.

 

I am considering buying Coco, too. I am meh about body too... or am I? Anyway, can not buy it.

@Pyoko yes, they should be compatible with Volks Dolfie dream colors. Moreover, Shoushou heads are hybrided with Mdd bodies.

I am wondering what other companies does Shoushou Off white an normal match? Will it matck MYou normal?

 

I also came here hoping to find comparisons on shoushou baby body and mdd to see if the Coco head would look small and awkward too since I like bust joints and vinyl better... hopefully someone out there is able to show us the comparison. I just wanna see for myself and make sure I like the proportions... I really love Coco's face and teeth!

 

Have you seen any pictures of hybrids of shoushou head on mdd body?
I tried searching for it on doa, Google, Instagram..
But no luck

Do you know how the head is staying on the body? It probably needs some kind of tool or customizing?

 

I have no idea. I no longer remember where and what exactly I saw.

Was it a SSD head on MDD body or MDD head on SSD body? I most likely saw it on weibo last year.

I just got a Niko body second hand for a minifee head and I have very few things that fit

 

I am waiting for a Niko! I got her through BjdDivas and I am waiting for her to ship I got the tiny mouth head and the wink head. I am making a alpaca wig for her and I hope it fits! I am using a Narae head to make the wig cap.

 

Me too, paid in full back in September, so I'm hoping it'll be sometime soon she'll be shipped out, I got her through BJDivas along with one of those little Alpaca toys for her

 

Regular 1/4 clothes and shoes should fit the Niko body, slim mini stuff is just too small, I've been looking at clothes to fit Volks MSD since the Niko body looks similar in size.

I got an anime style resin head that came with a little silicone slip ring. The ring slips over the DD neck piece to secure the head. TBH the one I got is too loose to work very well so i used masking tape on the DD neck piece to make it thicker.

 

I got my Kitty Coco!



She is super duper cute. I got her in the tan skin option -- I think I thought it would be a touch darker, but she looks super cute in this color too. I have a Niko on order in a lighter skin tone, so I'll get to see the difference then. My only issue is that there is no where for any magnets to fit for her ears and tail puff, so I'm going to have to add like a magnet pouch to her wig and pants maybe to hold the magnets so that she can wear her ears and tail. I have her with 20 mm Volks dolfie animetic eyes -- the 22 mm was a bit large for my tastes, but they fit just fine. She has the biggest skull out of every doll I own, lol, so I'm figuring out wig options for her. I may just style the current wig, but we'll see on what I settle on for her look. Can't wait to put her in the cutest clothes -- she stands like a rock, so yay!

 

I'm currently waiting on a Doudou that I was able to snag off of Instagram, and kind of just wandering around the internet looking for doll photos. Is it okay now to use this thread for Coco + Doudou as well?

Well, the name of that Taobao shop is 'Secondhand properties', so they are probably a reseller or selling secondhand dolls?

Anyway, I think Shoushou doll sells in limited periods and I don't think they have preorders up for anything right now.

Here's a thread with some clothing size suggestions on it (as well as pictures!)

 

I've had good luck with outfits that fit Volks MDD. Sometimes it's a bit tight in the torso and socks can be loose- I have a sock pattern on my website for Volks SDC that also fits Niko very well.

I've also adopted a second Niko, this time in tan skin. I gave her a sparkly blue faceup

My Shoushou Doll Doudou is back from having her face repainted, so I wanted to share her here!



I think her face is so cute and I like the proportions of her body. She's making me want a Niko for cute contrast!

I have my Coco and my Niko out for their faces, but they were super cute together when they were home!

 

What a total cutie!! I love her wig and the overall cute pink look - Doudou's soft eyes are truly so sweet!

 

I got a Coco head second hand recently and I was told she is normal skin... but looking at different comparison pictures online while I was body shopping and I'm starting to suspect she's in tan. Does anyone have a resin match between either Shoushou normal or tan and some other company (Fairyland, Souldoll, Dollzone) normal?
