So the can I have, I’ve had for…10+ years. Is it still good to use for face ups/body blushes, or should I get a new can?
I have personally used very old cans of MSC, at various points of my life. Some were still sealed in the plastic wrap they come in. Some, I left open after a long period of time when I paused my repainting or just didn't have to seal anything for a long time. I can't say for sure how old, but probably some were around ten years if not more. I had zero issues with any of them. I do live in a humidity neutral zone, and I kept my MSC cans in a dark cold closet inside my bathroom, that is probably never opened unless I use the MSC. Hope that helps. (:
Seconding everyone who said try it out! I've used cans that are more than 5 years old without issue. Some of them were still sealed in plastic before I opened them to use, some were half-used and left that way for 5+ years. All were fine for faceups While I do also have cans that are more than 10+ years old, they were already very low in MSC when I stopped using them for proper faceups and thus not the best pressure to spray evenly even back then. Haven't had spare projects/ test subjects to use them on to really try it out, but I do think they work about the same (just spluttery and that's only because the can is almost finished).
