shops/companies/manufacturers with low-dome glass eyes

    1. Hi guys!

      I am having a rough time finding eyes I like in my Dreaming Zaoll Luv! >_< She'll need some kind of low dome eye for sure, and I generally prefer glass eyes. But, I don't know a whole lot of places to get them! I do know that Captured in Glass can make low-dome eyes, but I'd like to know of any other brands who do as well! Any help would be appreciated! ^_^ While I like glass, I would also look at urethane or resin eyes as well.

    2. Probably not what you want, but Oscar Mirror Eyes are very low domed^^'

      I'm interested in responses to this thread too. I have a lot of eye issues that I'm 90% sure could be fixed with lower domed eyes, and other than CiG, have no idea where to get them!

    4. The Mint on Card house brand is lower dome than most, but still not completely domeless. I'll be interested in the responses to this thread.

    6. ^_^;;; my Zaoll's current eyes are Handscraft Glass, it was the standard threaded model line - and they are too high! XD I love the color, so I did ask them if they did custom eyes. Sadly, the answer was no. :( And the low-dome line looks like it would be better, but they don't have the same color/patterns in both lines. :(

      And Candykittensemporium is nice! They have a really nice variety of color! Even if I don't get them for my Luv, now I want to buy moar eyes! XD

    7. Have you tried an eye beveler? Or doesn't she have thick enough resin in the eye area to risk it?

    8. Yea, that's sadly the case, combined with the fact that the sleeping head already makes eyes fit wonky. I mean, most other parts of her head are pretty good, and the body has wonderful resin, but around the eyes and nose, its a little thinner than I am happy with. At least it's not terribly noticeable, not unless I hold the faceplate up to the light.
      But yea, that is why I'm hoping to find a nice pair of eyes that will work. :)

    9. I understand, I have a couple of dolls I don't want to risk the beveler on myself, that's why I'm following this thread. The one doll I used it on was a great success, but I afterward realized that I had come closer to disaster than I ever want to again.

      Back on topic: Have you looked at the Hand Glass eyes that Ginarolo has in the MP? Quite a few are marked as low dome, but of course not every color in every style, and I'm not sure all low domes are equallly low/low enough.

    10. I did start there a little, yea, she does have some. I probably should ask if some of the ones not labelled low dome can be made with low domes... Of course I went and picked a not-common color for her! XD I can find lots of blues and browns that are low dome lying around, but I went with a kind of burgundy color, just a shade on the purple side. Why did I have to look for a unique color? XD

    11. Spiritdolls eyes seem to have a low dome as they fit in my Zaoll (albet a bit big at 14mm so I'd try the 12 if you want them to be more realistic)
      I've seen on taobao a company called fel eyes seem to be low dome, I'm going to buy a pair for myself and see I've already made the mistake of buying him some eyes and they are higher dome and don't fit at all -_-

    12. Bumping up this old thread :bump

      I'm on the hunt for low-dome eyes that are not completely flat and dimensionless like some resin eyes are. I have a pair of acrylics that are great but I got them second hand and have no info about the maker. Looking for 10 and 12mm mainly.
