Shipping Shipping from China Registered: Where did it go?

    1. Ok, so I searched for a thread about China Registered Mail but to no avail, most fo them were about the Christmas Holiday Rush and this is July right now.

      So I purchased a Suit set from a DoA member and the person shipped it out on 06-28-2010.

      So it has been 2 weeks and there were some updates but the 2 lasts scans does not show where the item was scanned at.

      That was what I got using Track-Trace. It was scanned this week, but WHERE? This is driving me nuts! I have insurance but the seller and I are thinking it was stuck in customs?

      Then I used another China Post Track website and I only got this :/

      The thing that worries me is that The number DOES NOT even work on Canada post, nothing shows up! That is what is making me worried! I told the seller that if I do not get it in 2 weeks, we agreed she would refund me ( and if it miraculously appears later I will pay her back)

      So I am wondering, am I the only person that ever had this problem? Or what happened? Just the customs delayed the entire thing? @_@

I don't know if it works the same way in Canada, but I can tell you that registered shipping from China, Hong Kong and sometimes Japan to the UK is only registered WITHIN THOSE COUNTRIES, once it hits UK soil, they don't even bother scanning it and the numbers never work here, perhaps it's a similar situation with Canadian postal services too?

      I always GET the parcels, but I'm never able to track them once they leave their country of origin.

    3. I recently sent a parcel to the US from the UK and a similar thing happened where the tracking updates just stopped. The parcel arrived safe and sound so I'd give it a bit more time.

      It will quite often depend on who handles it after it arrives in the destination country. Some companies are very good about scanning the parcels, some will contract out items for certain areas and hand the parcels to other companies to deliver them which is where the tracking can sometimes fall flat on its face.

      Not everything arrives bang on when it's meant to unfortunately...sometimes things get delayed for no apparent reason. I wouldn't panic quite yet....give it another week then start to look into it.

That's completely normal for registered packages (I've had the same results tracking parcels from mainland China, Taiwan, HK...the US, etc) to not show up once they have left the country they've been sent from. If it's coming from China, it can take anywhere from 10-30 business days via registered mail.

    7. I hope it makes it there soon! I have a wig coming from China with the same issue. It was accepted on the 10th, sent out of China on the 12th, and didn't get to Jamaica Ny till the 17th. That's 5/6hrs away. I know they don't ship on weekends but it should have been here yesterday and not today. -.- I'm a little ticked since I hung out at my parents all day yesterday waiting for it and I'm not going anywhere tonight. But at least it only took 10 days of shipping for mine.

    8. I got an update yesterday, the package arrived in Customs Canada.

      Judging from my experience buying from the Imperfect Eyes seller on DoA, it takes a week to clear and ship, so I guess I will only get my package next week -_-"

      So I guess it takes a Month for a Registered package to arrive at the latest @_@

    9. I've found that when something is shipped registered mail from another country to me, the package is assigned a new number by the local postal service after it arrives in-country. The new number is then trackable on our registered post site, but unfortunately I have to call them to get the new number.:( I wonder if that's the same case worldwide.

    10. It takes around 10-30 business days roughly. >_< I think the quickest for me has been 9 days and the most has been about 17-18 days.

    11. OK! I got a shipping update that the item is out for Delivery. FINALLY. So, I guess it does take a month at the latest -_-"
      I can't believe I paid 20$ for Registered Mail, next time I need to make sure its EMS. But even EMS china might take 2 weeks to get to me... Well at least it's info for anyone who is wondering about China mail.
