I recently used http://www.shiphappenssumas.com/ to ship my dolls to within the US, then from Vancouver I drove down to the depot and picked it up and brought it across the border myself. It's a good idea for people near border towns in Canada to search out, this one's for BC only. ^.^ For 5 dollars SH will accept your package, hold for 30 days, and you can go pick up. It's cheaper shipping in the US, and you can claim it yourself at the border that way you get it faster and safer Just wanted to suggest this ^.^ You have to have a passport though. >.< I can no longer do this.
Wow, I never knew something like this existed! Then again there a lot of things I didn't know existed but... If I ever do learn how to drive (I can't believe I haven't even gotten my L yet) I will try and drive down myself/carpool with friend and do that as well. Sounds like it'd be really helpful as well as save a bit on shipping.
I have no experience with any of these guys (no car), but all three of these services in North Dakota have been mentioned at some point or another by Manitobans on another site I lurk/frequent. - Connie's Depot - Menke's Parcel Service - Mike's Parcel Pickup
I once started a thread in this forum with some info that I thought would be helpful to many. The thread was removed, and when I asked a mod why, I was told that it's against the subforum rules. You can only provide information here if someone first requests it. In other words, you can't start a thread with info, only a question. I'm just telling you this so you won't be as bewildered as I was in case the thread is removed without warning.
