oooo, a shiny new thread for ShinyDOLL! A wonderful excuse to spam my adorable Hikali (again...)!

These eyes look similar to the Lauschaer Glasaugen eyes (also German) that I use for my Akali http://www.lauschaer-glasaugen.de/html/dolleyes.htm. They are beautifully detailed eyes with sharp, clear lines- perfect for our more petite featured Shinygirls

My cancan-j-series 8" wig came in. It fit perfectly, except for the bangs being a bit long, on both Youki(B) and Nanae. Pictures to come after my exams are over.

I live in New Zealand and I'm a huge ShinyDoll fan. I currently own a Yakki Elf and Akali B - unfortunately they share a body at this point. I am hoping to get another Thaasa body soon

Yeah I made it myself. It's completely hand-sewn and I drafted the pattern from scratch.

She is lovely, but I have moved her to an AOD body, which is a better body for her proportionately. Not as good of a poser, nothing poses like a ShinyDOLL, but the AOD body is a lovely match for her!

 

I personally think "standard" means standard equality of right and left eyes.
If you chose "superior glass eyes ", equality would be excellent.

If you chose "reborn~" type eyes,
The iris would be INCREDABLY big, and no white parts would be seen when installed.

Hello! I have a Shinydoll Kanagi who was a little bit of an accident, but now that she's here she's probably going to stay XD So pretties!!

My only issue with her are her hands and feet...her feet aren't bad but they're so small! She's wearing a pair of MSD sandals right now...which honestly are perfect for her if I can't find other feet so it's not the biggest deal ever...but her hands >.<
I'm not a fan of the hands.

So I'm wondering if anyone has put different hands on their girls?? I'd really love Dollmore (which I can totally do myself later but if it's been done already, yay) or Supia...because I order from Dollmore all the time and I eventually want a Supia head so I could just get hands at the same time and you all needed to know that! lol

But any other hands/feet would be great. Feet aren't as important, as I mentioned...I just prefer larger feet on my dolls.

I still can't quite believe it but I finally did it. I ordered a Feefee today! She is my true grail doll and was my first doll love, I even considered her as my first doll and it only took almost 2 years and 14 dolls later to buy her. I ordered her through Nemuidoll which is run by the lovely babytarragon and I can't wait!!

VampireAngel13, Dollmore normal skin resin is much too pink to mach ShinyDoll. I don't have my Dollmore girl anymore, and I don't have a good comparison pic, sorry. But Dollmore's resin has a pinky-peachy undertone while ShinyDoll's resin is more creamy yellow. I'm not sure about Supia though. You'll need something along the lines of Volks Pureskin but a little paler. For what it's worth, Unoa resin is almost a perfect match, so if you know a company that hybridizes well with Unoa you might consider their hands. Good luck!

I actually have both Dollmore and Supia at home and they both match pretty well which is why I asked about them... and if Luts is a match DM should be fine, they're almost the exact same color.

I'm more interested in fit. I only have a Supia head at my disposal (which looks great on the SD body) right now so I can't try the hands on her (and I've not had time to hand-swap my DM Eves hands onto my SD girl).
Are Unoa hands really that large?? I've only seen one in person and she didn't seem much bigger than a normal mini....

 

As I understood it renee_chan mentioned the match with Unoa since Unoa is so heavily hybridized and thusly the database of which resins match Unoa is quite large. I.e. SD-sized hands from companies whose resin matches Unoa ought to match Shinydoll from a resin colour perspective.

If you ever get the chance to try out your Dollmore girl-feet on Shinydoll I'd love to see how it worked out. I've been wanting slightly larger feet, and if Dollmore regular feet match then their high-heeled feet would probably match too...

 

My Feefee arrived to me yesterday and I'm majorly in love!! She is so unbelievably cute and well made and her body just blows me away. I can't believe how I could wait so long to order her lol. Her face is so friendly and cute! She is truly my dream doll!

Ohh,Konoha looks absolutely gorgeous! She looks like she could be Youki's sister. If it's possible I would love to see pictures without a face-up.

I think next year I'd like to add another Thaasa girl to my doll family. The trouble is, which one? I've loved Chizune's chubby cheeks since I first saw her and she's a perfect older sister for my Fragille Suzune. But I also really like Kanae's soft romantic look, and Kanagi's mature face. I know I'd be happy with any of those dolls, but I'm having a hard time choosing one. Such a difficult decision! I'd like to see more pictures of Kanagi if anyone has one to share.

 

I'd like to share a picture of my Feefee, she finally has a faceup. It's not very good and I will wipe it soon but at least she's not sitting here blank anymore!

Thank you so much! She is wearing Kanis glass eyes in 14mm, I love Kanis eyes, they look so real. In fact I have them in all of my dolls lol.

I can't remember who I was discussing it with, but we were looking at whether a Unoa Zero head would fit a Thaasa body, as the Unoa 1.5 heads fit Fragille body very well.

The answer is, it doesn't >_<


The Unoa Zero head is not that big, but the face is very big indeed! The neckhole on this head is very large compared to Thaasa, so the head sits wrong.

It's disappointing since I had this Marion head beautifully painted by Buff, but ah well ^^;

 

This thread is awfully quiet... Where is the Shinydoll love?

I need to take more pics of my girls. I say that all the time, but it's hard to find time for me to do anything with my dolls lately. I want to get another Yakki, but I want her to be tan. I guess I'll have to commission someone to dye her if I ever get around to getting her.
