Aesthetics Shelling Loren(LM Eden Hybrid) [OC] ~ Cold as Ice Mage

Hello and welcome back to another thread where I'm trying to shell another OC of mine! This time I panic bought a sculpt I've been wanting since before I got into the hobby! Little Monica is, as I'm sure you all are aware, are closing down their doors this month. Thankfully I was able to grab the Eden head with the beautiful company faceup before things were too late.

It just so happens that Eden is a near perfect representation of one of my most important characters in my novel series -- Loren. (nonbinary, uses he/him pronouns)

Despite his soft appearance and elegant demeanor, Loren tends to unpleasant company. He is incredibly arrogant, and believes himself to be above most others due to his prodigious magical talent. His traumatic childhood made him extremely distrustful of other people, as well as shaping him into a person who wouldn't think twice about murdering someone if it meant it would keep himself safe. Finding out he's been lied to is the quickest way to send him into a (oftentimes destructive) rage, and isn't one to simply forgive and forget any transgressions against him. A lot of his attitude could be chalked up to insecurity, though, as he struggles with both relationships and his magic a great deal more than he'd ever be comfortable to admit.

As insufferable as he can oftentimes be, Loren unmistakably has a soft side. He is usually quiet, preferring the company of books to other people; and is the happiest when he learns something new. His desire for knowledge coupled with his photographic memory makes him something of a living encyclopedia, a fact he takes pride in. Even though he isn't conventionally warm with the few people in his life that he loves, he'd go to any lengths to help them in their time of need.

Luckily, Loren has a pretty good sized wardrobe and can wear a number of dresses, so I can just buy a nice dress from LegendDoll when the time comes instead of trying to remake that specific outfit 1:1.

So! I've talked about his head quite a bit now, but what about bodies? Ideally, one of the Senior Delf Muse bodies will be a good match in resin (I got the head in LM's White), and fit. This will be my first time hybridizing a body, so I'm a bit nervous about this.

Alright, so what all do we need now?

• A bust stand of some kind, as it'll take a while to save up to afford that ideal body and I would like to be able to display what I've got of him so far when he arrives.
• Wig, eyes, and head cap. Pretty self explanatory.
• Buy or make him some glasses!
  
• Wait for the head and body to arrive.
• Enlarge a bloomer pattern to SD size and create it for the doll when his body arrives.
  
• I'll have to make him some flat, dainty slipper kind of shoe, unfortunately the ones I've seen for sale have been too small for the Senior Delf Muse's feet.
  
• Ideally get or make him something nice to to comfortably sit down to read in.
• I might look into wig making, as the wig I've picked out isn't 1:1 and that will probably bother me a great deal, if I'm honest.

Okay! That was a lot! I really appreciate any advice anyone could offer me on this project -- This IS baby's first SD and Hybrid project after all! I will keep you all posted on my project when I'm able to.

Today is the day! I had the foresight to order him some eyes (and a head cap for when I do get that wig ordered) from DDE last week, and they came in just a few days before the eagerly anticipated head arrived!

Even just having the head and eyes only; I instantly melted with so much joy when I took his head out of the box! It was literally the perfect fit for Loren, so delicate yet so sturdy in my hand. I am now saving up for another doll con, but I think I might go ahead and buy him that wig and bust stand as soon as I'm able. I am truly in awe, it really feels as though Loren is really there, weird as that sounds. I'm already very attached to the doll, and so far it's only the head!
