Hi everyone, I hope to get some spare time to sew some outfits for my new girl. I will post here all the projects I will make for her. Thanks for watching First one is inspirated in mori style( with some lolita vibes) 2021-07-06_11-21-16 by ccsakura85, en Flickr I sewed this before her arrival, but fortunately fits her perfectly Sweet Child by ccsakura85, en Flickr Haruko by ccsakura85, en Flickr Next work will be a black velvet jsk and a white shirt, very old style fashioned.
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments!!! Last night I finished a plush hoodie I was sewing to complete this mori look. It makes the coord more adorable Kuma chan hoodie by ccsakura85, en Flickr
The cutting is fine so long as you make sure only to cut the backing, not the pile of the fur (otherwise you end up with stubbley bits near the seams). Sewing it, you have to make sure to brush the pile away from the cut edge when putting the pieces together, otherwise you'll have to spend a while going along the seams teasing out the pile that has caught in the stitching. At least that's what i've found when making teddy bears. Teddy
I couldn't respond it better! Thanks Teddy!!! (Since english is not my mother tongue, sometimes it's very hard for me to explain some process) Well, I know I told here that the next project would be a velveteen jsk, but I decided to posponed it Instead I did my best to recreate a kuro lolita OP from 2001 Angelic Pretty, to coordinate I also sewn a Headdress, OTKs and black short bloomers. Hope you like it! Kuro Lolita coord by ccsakura85, en Flickr Kuro Lolita coord by ccsakura85, en Flickr As promised a pic with the complete set High neck gothic lolita op by ccsakura85, en Flickr
Thanks Teddy for your kind words!!! I finished a new dress for my spoiled girl, this time I will share some pics of the process: WIP Hime style lolita dress by ccsakura85, en Flickr It was inspired by the Marie Antoinette OP dress by BtSSB All the laces were dyed with with tea and everything was handsewed I am happy with the result but hte skirt part would looked better with more poof Princess Haruko by ccsakura85, en Flickr Princess Haruko by ccsakura85, en Flickr
Gorgeous - and all that ruched and applied ribbon trim on the skirts looks so good! (I'm assuming it is ribbon, rather than strips of satin fabric?) Teddy
Yep, It is ribbon, I thought to cut and sew the satin strips, but decided that ribbon would make it better and faster.
Long time passed, hi again! I will share two outfits I made for my DSD, first was made last year as part of the sewing project and the last one was finished two weeks ago. I hope you like it! I have a DearSD on the way. I'm jealous of your skills! Do you use a pattern book or do you make your own?
Congrats for your new girl! Hope she arrives safe and soon. DearSD is such a wonderful size! I always made my own patterns They are no perfect but I am improving.
New outfit done for my girl, this time it includes a dress, shirt, jacket and hat. I love how sweet she looks on it! Retro aviator girl by ccsakura85, en Flickr
I absolutely love seeing Haruko and the amazing outfits you make for her If you ever open up commissions I'd be on the waiting list
Oooooh i am in awe of your work! And jealous of this girls amazing garde-robe! It shows the huge potential of dearsd! (I wish I could sew hehe)
Just came here to say wow you are talented! Those are such lovely patterns and they really flatter the dolls.
@5akuraD1va Your creations are a delight to watch! I have two questions. Where do you get patterns, do you sell if you make your own? Those Volks shoes are on my wishlist. They seem to be a much better fit than similar shoes with wooden platform (like Carol’s). Do you have any idea if older Volks shoes are sometimes smaller? Or are the ones you have MSD? They can be big sometimes Thank you!
Hi! Thanks for your kind comments! I make my own patterns inspired in real life lolita dresses or got some inspo from pinterest. The shoes are awesome! I need to buy her a new pair, but it is a bit hard to get the correct size. Usually MSD sizes are too small and SD are a bit loose
You might try Boneka Tradition shoes (sizes based on foot length and width) and (if you can find them these days) shoes for Magic Attic Club dolls are a reasonableish fit. Sasha dolls shoes from Lisa's Dolls will fit. Shoes from Disney Animators dolls fit but are a tight fit and have no space for socks (both mine are wearing these at the moment because I didn't get around to changing them into shoes that allow for socks or tights when the weather got cooler. Shoes I got for my SD10s are also a reasonable fit - some have a bit more space than others, but it just allows for knitted socks, which tend to come out a bit thicker than sewn fabric ones. Teddy
You are so talented, she's lucky to have you! The teddy bear, AP-inspired, and BABY-inspired ones are my favorite! I hope you're able to find some good shoes that fit her soon.
