Awesome coat Ban! Without my studio setup all I have to do for dollies is my sewing, so I've been making some of the clothes I've been meaning to make for years. I've had this bit of knitted sock stuff I planned to make into a sweater and it's been in the scrap box for two years! I finally made it into a sweater for Aithne yesterday. It has snaps up the back, which I find is the easiest way to make doll clothes.
Ooh thanks! I found this single lone sock I could not use, but it had miniature cabling I could not pass up for use as a dolly sweater.
Now that warmer weather is here, I made Willow a fun little spring outfit! IMG_1081 by the_shining_polaris, on Flickr
I love the roses along the neckline! So cute! These boots are amazing! The outfit is so cute! They look amazing! I can't believe you sewed them by hand!
Really cute! Did you have to make the little flowered trim, or was it part of an existing garment repurposed for the doll outfit?
Wow she looks amazing! on another note I watched the Matrix for the first time this week and got really inspired by the costumes. So my incoming Siean 'Neo' is going to wear a lot of black leather I'm pretty happy with the cropped corset, the shorts need some work, I'll be sewing a black jacket to go over the top and shorts. (sorry for the bad pictures) it's so funny to see Caroline in black since her style is very delicate and she mostly wears pastel colors.
wow!! such great talent here! this just inspired me to make minifee clothes ahead of time for my future chloe now i need to find the minifee measurements for chloe.
Hand stitching has always been the way to go for me, but I came up with a nice corset pattern which I think would only really work with a machine. I sat down at a sewing machine for the first time ever yesterday, took me a few tries to get to a point where I felt I could work with my patterns. After a few hours and a lot of cursing I manged to make the front and the lining of it- now I just have to try and sew them together. I was also wondering about the best way to create eyelets, its something I have put of worrying about till just now. Will come back and post a pic if I manage not to ruin it
Thank you Bah! These unique shoes are tailor-made by the local Polish artist Insomnia Creates Dolls who is very talented and first of all creates her own, astonishing dolls which you can find also here, on DoA, in the Non Asian Dolls section
Would you mind posting a link? Those shoes are stunning. I love your tunic as well, the fit and colour are perfect.
Thank you all for sharing these beautiful and creative Minifee creations Here are my own attempts modeled by my Elli (Minifee Eliya) For the dress I used a slightly modified version of this pattern: http://doll-candy.com/downloads.html Has anyone else used this pattern? I printed it at 70% of the original size, it could be made a bit smaller for a closer fit, but i think it works well as is for this type of dress. The armholes got a bit to small, I will make them larger if I use this pattern again. I added a full lining and attached a ruffle to the skirt part of the lining. The fabric is quilting cotton and a thin cotton for the lining. The lace is a vintage handmade bobbin-lace that I was lucky to find at an antique shop. I used beads as buttons in the back. It is made part by hand and part by machine. This top and bloomers set is what I made immediately after I got her, so that she wouldn’t have to be naked, it is full of mistakes, but i think it turned out ok. And I wanted to show it as an example of how to modify the above pattern. The bloomers are the simplest kind possible, made from two rectangles of fabric, and the top is based on a modified version of the dress pattern. I excluded the back panels and added lacing in the back. They are made from a thin cotton and hand stitched, I also cheated a bit with fabric glue...
So, I finally figured out a pattern for leggings to fix my Uzi. I had to draw one up and assemble, and this is the finished product: Like? (Excuse the pics---my phone sucks)
Thank you!! I'm just happy that my pattern finally worked out right and that Uzi looks happy in them.
Got a pair of pants made for my Fairyland Minifee guy, Zenawii. pants by wovenflame, on Flickr The fit is awesome. I used a pattern by Adams-Harris called "Space Cadet".
I didn't. I picked him up off the DoA Marketplace recently. First his head, a Yder sculpt, then from a different seller, his body. The body arrived on Monday.
Thanks! Here's the rest of his uniform. I'm going to make some alterations to the pattern and then redo the tunic. The sleeves are a full inch too long and that's quite a bit when you are 1/4 scale! Edited to add: Lieutenant Zenawii Tulusson Alterations are done. I shortened the sleeves by one inch, the tunic body by 1/2", and I reduced the height of the collar by 1/4". I like the whole effect much more now! Please forgive the post of more than one picture. I wanted to show the changes I have made.
Oh, I made Shadow a new outfit too ... Winter Queen by ban sidhe, on Flickr I really love the fabric I found for the corset, it's like perfectly scaled tooled leather. Howdy up there Marlene - your guy is looking great!
The corset is fantastic, but the entire outfit, as a whole, is so amazingly detailed and interesting.
(I know this thread is old, but I think it's still okay to post in it? I apologize if not. ^^; ) You are all so talented with your crafting skills! I have a new girl coming, but not for several months. I'm itching to get sewing for her, but I'm not sure if I should even attempt it since I don't a way of fitting things to her. Do any of the Gracefaerie patterns work? I think I saw a member post earlier in this thread about how they had to heavily mod the corset pattern, but do the pants, or anything else work?
This thread may be old but it's active - sorry I don't have an answer to your question though EDIT: image removed - pardon me
Some people have used various Ellowyne Wilde patterns meant for the 16" Tonner Doll or you can see about finding patterns for Unoa's but Minifee have wider hips I believe so you would either have to take that into account or make some very basic pieces using a fabric with a good stretch
Hi folks! Just a reminder that the Sewing subforum and its threads are solely for displaying and talking about things you're making for your own dolls. Any posts having photos of outfits being crossposted with sale venues, or any mention that you're working on or do commissions have to result in the posts being removed. (Side-collateral will be posts removed that are responding to the original sale/commission posts)
I admire talent and effort all of you put into those little creations of yours. It's always pleasure to watch them. Let me share mine - the set including a delicate shawl and a headdress to match it: Edit - the new, better photo and the new set: The Nostalgia Set by Red Ribboned Dolls, on Flickr Lady Shyness by Red Ribboned Dolls, on Flickr ...and the colours I made: My Own Rainbow (Standard Colour Palette) by Red Ribboned Dolls, on Flickr
Got a pattern on Etsy from Yumistudio since I'm just starting to sew and made a shirt. I absolutely love it. Sewing by sumpsychochic, on Flickr
Does anyone know where I can find a sewing pattern for a bathing suit/lingerie? I'm having a hard time trying to find patterns. XD Any help would be greatly appreciated!
im not at home right now so i cant copy links but if you do a search for "mhd designs" and look under ellowyne the bodysuit or secrets patterns might work for you. ive found ellowyne patterns fit with relatively few adaptations.

I've recently just started but here's one of my favorites that I made with a sewing machine. unfortunately she does not have a photo wearing it.
Just to add, I love this thread. It's nice seeing different clothes on minifees, and all are handmade!
I'm making clothes for my boy but I haven't gotten him yet (he's just a head waiting for his body) so idk if any of them will fit since all I have for reference is my sisters girl and b-line boys. Is there much of a difference between those and the muscular body? I hope not. He's going to be dark mori styled so I've got lots of work ahead of me.
At most, they might fit just a little loosely on him. The a-line bodies are shorter than the b-line, so you'll have to take that into consideration when dealing with the length of pants. You might want to go onto the Fairyland measurement table. But in all honesty, if you make it fit nicely onto the b-line boy, it should fit fine on your boy. Just know that things could be the slightest bigger on the new boy. You should be okay, though.
Does anyone have a suggestion of where I can find a pattern for leggings for a minifee cutie leg girl. I have a girl coming soon and want to start making her some clothes so she has something to wear when she arrives.
