Serenity was once again doing some modelling for me. This time it was a dress made for NixiPixie's Neelsie. She might have been upset about having to give the little outfit away, (it looks so darn cute on her), but she's excitedly anticipating the one Neelsie's mommy is making her in return. In the middle of the modelling photo shoot, "the New Lady" walked by. Serenity went right up and politely introduced herself. Serenity was SO good! She never once asked why the New Lady had no faceup. There seems to be a real bond growing between the two of them.
Thanks Carol. Yes I knit the (as yet nameless) Minifee's sweater and Serenity's dress and hat. I love making my dolls' clothing. It's the side of the hobby that really drew me in. Thanks Mirren. My Minifee will be going out for her faceup very soon. It will be hard to part with her even for a short while. Thank you Captin Janeway. I have 8 ball jointed dolls now and these two are my (current) favourites.
Dear Wovenflame, Serenity is a cutie. It looks like she and the new lady became fast friends. I am wondering if they had any adventures together.
It's been a long long while since those photos were taken. I can't remember anymore but everything was usually posted on my blog. I no longer have either doll.
Both your dolls have such lovely knitted clothes! So perfectly sized for them! I sew for my dolls, but can't knit or crochet at all.
Thanks. I knit the Pukifee outfit and also the cabled hoodie the Minifee is wearing. Creating the wardrobes was my favourite part of the hobby.
I'm fortunate in that I learned many textile crafts as a child and have kept up with most of them. It's never too late to learn though!
Thanks. I've sold all but one of my dolls now and I've pretty much gotten out of the doll hobby. I have many other hobbies taking up all my available time.
