Serenade Doll

wow I was expecting another 'pretty' traditional type of bjd, but these are pure art - love the aesthetic! Not as strangely proportioned as doll chateau, but with a similar look - let's hope they fulfill expectations

 

I love these. I'm especially charmed by Lotus and Suu, but I would love to see more photos D: Most of them have very little photos of the faces and a skintone comparison would be great.
I will most likely get one of these girls at some point. In the meantime, I'm keeping an eye on them to see if they update with more info/pics :P

 

Oh, my goodness! They're gorgeous! I too hope we'll get to see more pictures of them. So glad to see all the pictures of their posing though. This might be one of the prettiest SD girl bodies I've ever seen. It would be a dream if they released 40-45cm girls.

 

Anyone who sells busts separately is cool with me! Though those necks are mighty long...like Doll Chateau long o - o; ...Might have to buy some long-nailed hands from them...they're very charming

 

It's always nice to see a new company in the bjd world. I am quite fond of those dolls, they look like combination between doll cheatau and popovy sisters, and I rather say that for positive reasons. However, I found it odd that more and more new companies open, although the economy is in bad condition. Still, I hope they succeed.

 

I totally agree with Snow, they should really add some extra pics, especially of the blank heads.

However, as far as I can see for now, they seem to be sooo gorgeous! I truly love the body as well, so graceful and detailed. Also I really like the legs options and the overall proportions.

Poor Collector: They seem to me a bit a mix of Popovy and Doll Chateau Dolls too; love it!

 

These girls are so lovely - and I adore the clothing choices they have available so far, everything about them just seems so elegant. I should probably wait to order one, but if they end up having layaway I may not be able to resist

I knew when St James had posted this, they must be something spectacular. And yes, yes they are. Wow so lovely!!!!!
I think I am in love with Suu. The hands are so graceful! and I love the way they made the back of the ankle wrinkle for the "super high heeled feet."
I think my heart just stopped...

Man I would love to see a whole doll in tan. I am removing a doll from my wishlist and replacing her with one of these girls. The other doll was going to be tan, but I'm not sure I would like tan best on this lady. Mostly because I already have a weakness for super pale dolls and they look gorgeous in their photos in those skintones.
Sorry I'm rambling so much, I just haven't been this excited about a new company since Doll Chateau xD

The skin colors are lovely, I have to think about a little about which one I like more.
I asked them if they do layaway and another couple of things on their Q&A, however I noticed that no one has received any answers so far, so I also sent them an e-mail.
I'll let you know when/if I get some reply from them.

 

Love them! Seems like they'd also be a Doll Chateau hybrid option! Especially for those of us who want slightly shorter DC girls!

 

In the "gallery" there are photos of the body.

I wish there were more clear photos of the various heads. While the photos are very beautiful and artistic, it's hard to see good detail and angles on the faces.

If you save the photo of all the faces in the Taobao link Solarsenshi posted, you can actually enlarge it. I noticed when I had it open in photoshop that the pic on taobao is actually smaller than the actual file :P It may not be much, but you'll be able to see more detail! Most photo viewers have a zoom function
I would love to see all the heads properly photographed though. With faceups and such.

Those dolls are beautiful. I would love Nun with open eyes, but it looks as if only the sleeping eyes head is offered. Do they ever reply to questions on the Q&A board? To me it seems that none of the questions there has been answered.

 

Oh I love these girls! And DIY shoes too...love all the hands options and th super high heels.

 

I love their sculpt, the bodies, their outfits are beautiful- their shoes are boring but I like the DIY option and they are really cheap. I love how inexpensive the hand alternates are. The super high heel feet are neat.

I do wish they had more photos of the faces- especially for Suu. I love that she looks so asian.

I went ahead and ordered her anyway!

 

Their lovely, but they would fit in with my other dolls with that small head. They are even smaller then my Lati Red's - it seems they wear YOSD size wigs?

I am really intrigued by them and I love the super high heel feet, they look awesome!!! Gotta say that is one long lean skinny model and that could fit in my collection if they offer Layaway.

 

Thanks! I am pretty excited- I think they will fit in nicely with my Angel Eggs and resin fashion dolls- the proportions look somewhat similar.

It was nice of the shop to include a photo of the body with the SDGR Volks body (which looks a bit more plump)- and to let us know that the wigs from YOSD will fit. I am VERY keen to know what other shoes might fit... (I hope they know)

Hi there everyone.. ! I've been out of the bjd world lately.. but always get an eye on the news.. and.. well, I've just discovered this new company with their gorgeous- beautiful dolls... So I've taken a very quick decision. I'm selling to get Lotus and maybe another head to put on the body... But I'm also waiting for new pictures with blank head, possibly. But well, I didn't fall in love with dolls for very long time.. so I think I'm getting her anyways, once I get the money I need

 

Well I ordered a doll with success- but I didn't get a confirming email (except through paypal)- and I haven't been able to validate my email- it says "failed to re-send contact administrator"

- did anyone else register and validate their email with success?

 

Wow, these dolls look amazing!! I love their slender bodies. I'm impressed with their posing. My favourite heads are Suu and Lotus.

I think you can buy just a body because you have to add a head option, you can pick none. (I think!)

In terms of the legs, I'm guessing we get normal as standard, and the option list is for which type of heel we'd like? Or do we only get one leg/heel set? (Because I'm obviously misinterpreting this website...)

 

I think it's only one heel leg set, but then you could conceivably order another, they are available.

 

Oh gosh I love them.... the bodies are so unique but they may be hard to hybrid with the head I was intending meaning I might just need to remake her character into a new doll lmao.... I love nun and suu too... I wanna see more pics I'm excited for the potential here.

 

I think Nun is my favourite. I wish I could stop looking at them. I have told myself I need to at least wait for owner pictures... or maybe until they post some new ones too? I also love the clothes on the website for the bodies. Arghhh!!

If you look at the company photos, the heads look puny on the bodies. I am really wanting to get one and hybrid it. I would love it if they just offer a body option, I think I will write to them.

 

My guess is the heads would hybrid well with Rosette Dolls who have the same size heads. I can't guess at the resin match though and for the most part you can only get Rosettes in Soom normal skin.

As for the body- yes! I want to stick another head on it! Although the Serenade girls are lovely the head is so small! I think I'd need some owner photos and doll comparisons. Because proportion-wise you can get away with such a small head if the body is thin enough and I think they may have managed that. But it's hard to tell with nothing to compare it to.
