    2. She's very beautiful. Lots of emotion in that face - it's what a lot of headmolds lack! You have done great!

I'm sorry to hear about the casting problems. I hope others here can help work out why....

      Best,

      Judy

    3. HOLY ****
she's gorgious!!!!! so professional looking...*melt* congradulations!
(btw, that's an awesome little video thing)

    4. OMG THAT IS AMAZING !

thats a really beautiful head you just made. i was shocked at how great it turned out ! IM INLOVE WITH HER :fangirl:

    5. Fantastic!!!

And hey, when was the last time you saw a person with a perfect nose, anyway? ;)

I love the little gif with the rose. sooooo gorgeous!

    6. I have to say she is one of my favorite things I've seen on this section of the forums : O! She's GORGEOUS. her expression is very sweet<3

How bad are the bubbles? I think her nose looks fine~

    7. I don't see anything wrong with her face- it seems so pretty! I could see how it could be prettier, honestly!

I really like the animation you did- nicely done.

    8. From here it looks Very professional! Very well done, I'd say.

    9. Gelfling,
Thank you for your kindness. Bubble problem has always been my biggest enemy in casting... so I have given up doing it myself, hopefully I can get someone reliable to do it for me nest time. ^^

      illyrimur,
Thank you for replying, and for noticing the animation~ >< I want to make a longer one when I have time and a story and proper settings and have her strings changed...(wow that's a lot...>..<)

      hello_sunshine,
Thank you for loving her, haha~ :aheartbea

      Baakay,
Hm... Maybe you are right, even real people's body are not perfectlly ballenced...>///< haha, well, This can be inproved next time. As I wrote to illyrimur, I like the little gif too, and want to make a longger one~^^

      Schtiel,
It's really my pleasure to hear you say so, hope the next one can be improved. The bubbles are everywhere for the worst one, and even the forehead was not completly filled with resin... ="= Actually shouldn't be only one that's relatively less bubbles, but many of them are in veird colours...haha~

      Keanna,
You could see how it could be prettier...? If so could you please point them out for me? She might be a little thin...hm... Thank you for your encouragement, both on her nose and on the animation~ >3<

      sammysoblue,
Thank you for your encouraging reply, I'll do my best to be truely professional one day~=w=

    10. So sorry! XD I mean I couldn't see how it could be better! *hugs* Me and my horrible spelling mistakes! I'm sorry!

    11. She's so beautiful~

    12. Gorgeous! :fangirl: <33333

    13. She is amazing!
      You did a wonderfull job!

    14. what type of resin were you using? I have problems with bubbles too sometimes. :S at any rate, she's GORGEOUS! :D

    15. Keanna,
No problem! XD Thank you onece more, but that might be too much...^^||| something can be improved~><

      histotsu,
Your picture is handsome too (what the...XD||| hahaha)~:eusa_sile

      cloudymoonx,
      Thank you~ >///<

      Smiling Doll,
      Thank you~ =///=

      batchix,
Somebody did the casting for me in China, and he says it was HI-CAST from Japan, but can be fake product...hm...because the bubbles are too much, even without a vacumn machine, it shouldn't be like this...

    16. oh, she's adorable! very cute.

    17. WOW!!! That's really impressive :D

      I love her mouth . . . she's lovely, very thoughtful-looking, almost a little sad . . . you did a very professional job with her!

      -- Andi <3

    18. She looks so lovely and serene.

The best way to eliminate the bubbles it to use a pressure pot attached to a compressor. I use a painters pressure pot .. you could probably find one on ebay for a reasonable price.

    19. Jean,

she really is lovely. her lips are exquisite - and her face is very gentle. I don't see the unbalance at all in your pictures... congratulations! - are you going to make another mold from this cast and try again?

Kaye, could you talk to us a little about how you use the pressure pot? or point us towards info on the web if you know of any? I would like to learn more about casting in resin too...

    20. Yeah... I second this. :{

For casting I use smooth cast 300 from smooth-on. It's sort of dense and needs a uv additive(I haven't yet tried it tho, I've been putting it off. XD), but I don't have a major problem with bubbles in the heads. I'm more worried about fingers and toes since the molds for them will be so thin.

    21. Well!!! I really don't know how to explain as I was lucky when I got my pressure pot because the guy in the shop just happened to use one for casting resin miniatures so he set my pot up just like his. I would have been totally lost if I had to do it myself!! It's a painters pressure pot with a filter to reduce the moisture and pressure dial on the top .. then I have it attached to a 2hp compressor. I'll see if I can find something that looks like it on the net and I'll post a link or something.
      BRB!!

    22. OK .. this is just like mine. I have the pressure dial and the shut off valve on the top of mine .. the rest of the stuff has been removed.

      http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HEAVY-DUTY-1...2QQihZ014QQcategoryZ22664QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I set my pressure to 70psi and I seal the molds in the pot and turn on the compressor and it just shuts off when it gets to 70psi. I have found 60psi is sufficient for resin casting but you need to go to 70psi if you want to get rid of the bubbles in the silicon when making molds so I'm lazy and just leave it set to 70psi for everything.
      Hope that helps?

    23. >< *at a loss for words* I want her

    24. Wow, that's amazing! *_* I'm really impressed!!

    25. Thank you TatsuKitty.

      Ashbet,
I am glad that you like her expression~>w<

      Kaye,
Thank you, and I looked at the presure pot links...hm...
According to patl's link, http://www.artmolds.com/product_details.cfm?product_id=220&page=0&cat_name=Studio Accessories
If I buy a pressure pot, do I have to buy the vacuum chamber and casuum pump also?
I always have problems doing so delicate and strictlly instructioned activities, just like casting... not careful enought at any point will rune the resule... so I afraid even if I brought a presure pot home, I can't cast bubble-free resin pieces, or at worst explode my apartment... *_*
And damn it I tend to cast clear urathane recently... even one bubble inside the piece would be seen... I really need a pressure pot...
But is it difficult to use?
      I really want it though...
      but is it dangourse? ="=
      but...
      .
      .
      .
      :...(

      patl,
Thank you! I like her lips the most too. Because I've seem her for too long a time and too many casts of course, don't want to see any longer and more...=..= so I am making a new head...hahaha~

      nolavon,
Hihi, haha, hopefully I can make better ones to sell someday...><

      Masako87,
      Thank you.^^

    26. You will not need the vacuum chamber if you buy a pressure pot but you will need a compressor to pump the air into the pot. It's perfectly safe as long as you bolt the lid on nice and tightly.
I find it easy to use now that I am used to it. At first I was very timid about using it (as I alway am with any new equipment) but its really easy. You just put the resin filled mold in the pot .. bolt it down and open the air inlet valve and that's it!! The compressor shuts off itself when it reaches the pre-selected pressure.

    27. Kaye,
      Oh, really?
Is there any reqirements for the mold? like should the "mouth" where I fill resin in be sealed?

    28. Hi Jean,
Do you mean the pour gate .. like where you pour the resin into the mold?? If so, then no, it doesn't have to be sealed.

    29. Kaye,
That's what I mean, sorry about my poor English~O-w-O
so the gates just oen on the top?^^

    30. Wow, she is so sweet with that longing, sad look about her. I hope that your casting problems do not dissuaded you. You must continue... She is diffenately worth having.

    31. Hi Jean,
Yes, the gates are left open .. that's where the bubbles escape when it is being pressurised.

    32. BloodLath,
Thank you for liking her~haha >///<
I am not casting this head anymore but my new one looks pretty similar...=..= well~^^|||

      Kaye,
      Thanks a lot~=3=

    33. I agree with the general populous, she is a very charming girl. She has a wistfull look that makes a person want to spoil her rotten.

My two cents on the bubbles...as I had a different problem than the one others have advised you on. My Vega had groups of tiny-tiny bubbles, grouped closely together, in patches around her face and ears. I'd been using too much mold release lubricant! I used a lighter hand with the release spray and the problem was solved!

(Though I, too, am looking at the compressor links, just in case.)

    34. wow~
      Jean...you know what I mean....^^

    35. OMG, she's jst STUNNING!!!!! You surely did a GREAT JOB on her!!!! Unbeliefalbe!

    36. That is such a beautiful head, I love the face-up; it really suits her. The shape of her eyes is really gorgeous and captivating! Fantastic work!

    37. Beeeeeeeeeeeautiful! She looks like a real BJD mold.

    38. OH GOD THAT THIRD PICTURE MOVES. o_O

She's GORGEOUSSSSSS, by the way! So professional looking--do you intend on making more? o_O

    39. glyndon,
      Hahaha~you are exagriatted~>///<
Is that you experience? I'll try not to use to many layers of mold release next time, if I get a chance. Thank you!

      DD-ANNE,
      this...that...what did you mean? hahahaha~~~XD

      char_j_69yen,
      Thank you, hehe. =w=/

      heartofglitter,
Thank you! It's the first time hearing somebody say like her face up I've done, hahaha~

      Wolfie Pie,
Thank you! Hope I can be more pro in the future.^^

      JavEll,
Thank you. I am always interested in stop-motion animation, hahaha~this's not perfect, I wanna do a longer one later~XD
I am nit making anymore of her, but I am doing a new head looks similar to her (hopefully), and gonna cast that.
