Shopping Seoul (S.Korea) physical doll shops?

Nov 18, 2024

    1. Anyone knows of good BJD shops around Seoul (South Korea) that are still operating (physical shops)? Any doll museum or doll cafe, too?

Any recommendations with links or address or pics or reviews would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! :D

    3. Most of the dolls shops in Seoul seem to be cafes that double as studios for doll photography. Do you have any idea what type of place you're looking for? One that sells dolls? One that sells doll clothes?

    4. Both of those (selling dolls and doll apparels/items). And museum if there is any. Thanks so much! :D

    5. bittersweet: photo studio and cafe. They also sell used items consigned by others, as well as clothing and accessories made by the cafe's owners, and sell some brands of products on consignment.

nine9: A store that sells various brands of costumes and other doll supplies, such as wigs, shoes, and more. They also sell some dolls.

kakaplanet(twitter) & google mabs: This is a distributor of doll supplies operating in China, with a brick-and-mortar store in South Korea. They sell some doll sets and outfits, wigs, eyeballs, and other items, and the brands they carry are Chinese brands.

I'm not that active, so this is what I can think of off the top of my head:blush. As for museums, well, I don't know of any, but I'm sure there are others I'm not aware of, so I'll look them up when I have time and let you know.

    6. Thank you so much! The only one I knew was the Nine9 one so the others are greatly appreciated! Hopefully some shop owners see this post and I don't know... advertise themselves? XD

    7. Lunablanc(google maps): I think they're usually only open on weekends, so you might want to check their hours before you visit. They sell chicabi dolls, costumes, and more.
and I don't know when you'll be visiting Seoul, but there's a doll fair on December 21 called Project Doll.
