    2. dambuster01: That pic of your Persons "playing nicely" with your JerryBerry Olive is absolutely hilarious! Isn't that so like Persons?! Your pics always crack me up and put a smile on my face. Thank you!!! :abow:

Prissy and Darla stopped in again to show a quick pic of their pets they got recently--Fancy the Cat and Frou Frou the Dog. They couldn't have picked better pets for themselves. As you can probably tell on Fancy's and Frou Frou's faces, they have attitudes, too, and are just as demanding as the Persons. They definitely keep Prissy and Darla on their toes!

    3. A new thread and one that I will probably join soon. I just got the shipping notice for my Winter Event person 08!! Only 3 weeks after I placed my order. I'm thrilled! I guess I've never got a doll in such a short time directly from a company. Good thing that she comes with eyes and a wig and that I have some Lati clothes laying around for her.

    4. babyelf: That's wonderful news! Congratulations! I do think Secretdoll is the fasting shipping company I have dealt with. I know you will be thrilled with your new Person. My Persons are still in my top favorite dolls, and I think they always will be. I just love them so much! :aheartbea

    5. That's great new, babyelf! Secretdoll is always super fast! Such a great company to deal with! I am also very fond of their baby fairies though my Persons will have nothing to do with the little mites.

    6. Hm, I just tried to track my Person package, but appearantly my tracking number is wrong. I already messaged Secretdoll about it. I hope nothing went wrong with the package.

    7. I just got confirmation from Secretdoll about my tracking number (wow, they even work on Saturdays) and they just mixed up to numbers. My Winter Event girl is already in Frankfurt, Germany :D

    8. cbnloo5: Thank you so much, Cindy! I must say that Melinda Mae is looking quite beautiful and vibrant in the snow. I love those gorgeous rosy cheeks! :love

    9. Melinda Mae is stunning. You can feel the cold on those rosey cheeks. Sharon I had such a giggle at your girls and your poor Jerry Berry. Bet she sleeps with one eye open. So naughty.
Prissy and Darla have quite the haul. Funny how the Persons always end up with everything you buy for any other doll!

    10. imajica: So true! My Persons are spoiled beyond measure. They definitely have the nicest and best of everything over all of my other dolls--and that's the way they like it!

    11. Soon I will be able to join your company too. My Person 8 arrived in Amsterdam today! Soon she will be at home, I can not wait. It's my birthday and it was sent 3 weeks after ordering! I enjoy the pictures of your dolls and want more of them!!

babyelf, Have you already got the doll? I'm very curious ...

    12. Mandra - Sadly not, but I know German customs is very slow in processing packages, so I'm not too worried. Congrats on your Person 8 being in Amsterdam!

    13. Mandra: Glad to have you join the thread, and congrats on your incoming Person! I'm looking forward to seeing her! Happy Birthday to you as well! :smallcake :apresent:

    14. Ooooh here you all are!!!!
I didn't realise that there was a new thread. I thought it was a bit quiet!!!
Thanks Lisa and Julie for the nice comments, glad you got a laugh out of the photo!!!!

Lisa and Cindy, love the photos...so very colourful! Please keep 'em coming!
      Hugs Sharon xx

    15. Just got a custom notification for my Person 08 *sigh*. Should be some extra $80 for customs... and again some waiting time until she's here. German customs is so observant these days.

    16. dambuster01: I was wondering where you were, Sharon! I'm so glad you found us! ;) I appreciate your sweet comment on my pic of Prissy and Darla. I am defintely looking forward to seeing more pics of your Persons. I can't wait to see what their next caper will be. :wiggle

    17. cbnloo Melinda Mae looks absolutely gorgeous trudging through the snow, though I have to say, I'm surprised she didn't find a minion to pull her along on a sleigh so her delicate toesies wouldn't get too cold.

Congrats on all the incoming persons - I'm hoping for a swag of new photos to see soon!

Drusilla has been a tad neglected lately so I dread to think what terrible deeds she's been plotting during her quiet time in the drawer! She got an awesome new dress in the mail the other week...well she stole it off an incoming dolly so now that my laptop is back up and running I will have to try and take a photo.

    18. Thank you for the warm welcome to the topic. As soon as I get my person, I will show the photos. I know that wig 6-7 fits person very wel. Q: Which company and models would you recommend?

    19. OUCH! Not good babyelf. I hate our EU customs. But hopefully when your Person 8 arrives, you'll just forget the horrible customs fees. I've found the same with Spanish customs....they used to miss quite a lot of my parcels, now they rarely miss any. :(

Thank you Lisa! I was thinking that there wasn't much going on again on the Persons thread!!!! DOH! I'm away from home at the moment and have left the terrible twosome in the care of my Blythe girls....I dread to think what they have been up to in my absence. It's never a good idea to leave Persons unattended for too long! ;)

It's never a good idea to neglect a Person, honeythorpe, they have very long memories and can get their revenge when we least expect it. So we really must see photos of Drusilla in her nice new dress .... please!!!!!

Welcome Mandra and congrats on your incoming Person! Make the most of the time before she comes because your life will NEVER be the same afterwards....and you will be forever poor!!!! ;)
As for wigs, my girls went back to their default wigs but I found the Monique Gold ones fit them really well because they have a stretchy headcap. I like them in the Jojo as it seems to sit nicely on their big bonces!!! Plus it doesn't overwhelm their small bodies. :)

Well, after the little 'bonding' session that my two Persons had with their new (off topic) friend Olive (last page of old thread), there did end up being a little bit of fisty cuffs....but I think that Percy felt a bit 'alarmed' afterwards, and realised the 'error of her ways'....however, looking at the tilt of her chin in this photo, I'm quite sure that Kobi didn't have an ounce of regret in her skinny little body!!!! :doh

    20. Mandra: I totally agree with dambuster01 on the wigs. The Monique Gold wigs are wonderful, especially the Jojo model like she mentioned. I also like the Leekeworld wigs, which both of my Persons are wearing. They are really great wigs as well. The Monique wigs are a lot softer in texture, though. It just depends what look you are going for. I have heard good things about For My Doll wigs, too, but I don't own any. I hope this helps. :)

dambuster01: Another hilarious pic! I just love it! I am also glad to see that Olive is taking up for herself. I think that Percy is alarmed that Kobi may end up with a fat lip, but, of course, Kobi doesn't look concerned at all, but looks rather defiant--typical Person!

    21. Hello there, I came to share the good news. I decided to write to Secretdoll, because I really want to buy a Person 21 in tan, and I wanted to find out if they are planning to release them again this year. Here's what They replied:
" Secretdoll plan that the special events to be conducted again in the second half of 2013, including tanned skin."
So people, be ready! ooooohhh I'll get her this time for sure!!

    22. Good news, Martoola! I might want to get a friend for my incoming first Person in tan and it's good to know when to start saving the moonies :)

Still no news about my Winter Event Person 08, but she should be here in a few days (why customs, why?).

    23. dambuster01 and Lisa's Dream Dolls, Thanks for the answer about wigs. I got my person! She is beautiful! I love the color of her skin and the way she looks. The only thing that bothers me - it's hard to pose. I think, the elastik is too tight. Has anyone had this problem too?
Babyelf, I wish you to get your doll as soon as possible and enjoy it as I do.

Here's a photo of my persona. She does not have a name yet. I thought it would be a tomboy, but she wants to be a real girl.

    24. Mandra: You are very welcome! Congratulations on your lovely new Person! She looks just beautiful! I love her dress! It's so feminine! Persons in general are not the best posers. Some people put pipe cleaners thru their arms and legs to help them pose. Others have hot glue sueding at their joints to help them pose. One of mine has sueding (the one I got secondhand), but the other one that I bought brand-new has nothing. I just left her alone. Persons are usually very kicky, and I just consider this as part of their personality. If you want to do the pipe cleaners or sueding, though, you can look that up here on DoA or just do an internet search. Again, congrats to you! :daisy

    25. Lisa's Dream Dolls, Thanks a lot! Kicky is the right word! Ok, now I know that my person is all right. We just have to get used to each other. The idea of the pipe cleaners is very interesting. But then these sticks will be visible ....

    26. Thanks so much Lisa! I'm glad you enjoyed their little 'antics'!!!

Oh babyelf, I'm sorry to hear that she's still in customs. The German customs are even worse than the Spanish ones, it would seem.

You're very welcome on the wigs Mandra. Your new girl is GORGEOUS!! Such a little sweetie. I'm glad she arrived safely and that you're happy with her. My girls were also very kicky when they arrived but I wired their legs and they pose quite well now, sometimes I can even get them to stand on one leg....but only when THEY are in the mood!!!

Mandra, you could try very thin wire instead, but to be honest you really can't see the wires at all....and it makes such a difference to their ability to pose!

    27. What a thrilling time I've had! Just after my last post here, my computer quit. Too expensive to repair and I had to get a new one and a new monitor. But Windows 7 is really great and I love it. Then the CCD drive on my Fujifilm FinePix S5000 DSLR camera died. I loved it and it worked perfectly for almost 10 years. They didn't make parts for it anymore so I got a new camera. There was something wrong with it so I had to send it back and got another one. I think most digital cameras are almost the same when it comes to operation so I just got a battery pack and an SDHC memory card yesterday and will have it up and running this weekend. So, I apologize to all because I promised pics up a while back. I will have pics up soon.

    28. My Winter Event Person 08 will be here in a few hours! *happydance* I already stood up early so that I won't miss her when the mail man is arriving (yesterday I missed him T_T). I'm so excited! She's so different than my other dolls.

      *edit*
I'm so sad! After waiting for 4 hours for the mail man, I called the service line and discovered that my package is on its way back to Frankfurt. I have no idea why! I even talked to the mail man on the phone yesterday to confirm the time when the package will be delivered T_T.

    29. Oh no Babyelf! How infuriating!! One thing is for sure... your Person is going to be one irked little girl when she finally gets out of that box. I hope the mailman is well and truely gone when she finally gets out for his sake!!

I am excited to be joining this thread... I opened up my very first Person yesterday, and I love her! Her name is Keiko.
I had plans... a wig colour, and a name, and personality all laid out for her, but of course I should never have presumed a Person should want to oblige! So... she is completely different to how I expected he would be, but gorgeous all the same :)

    30. Oh! And sorry for the double post, but I thought you Person owners might be interested in something I discovered. Secretdoll seem to have updated their Person knee joints.

Persons are known for their kicky-ness, but my little one seemed remarkably solid while I was playing with her, so I compared her to Drusilla (Honeythorpes girl).
Keiko has different joints, - with a little locking ridge on the top and the bottom at the back so her legs lock into the straight position (well... the bowed position, as her legs are far from straight when fully open!)
Anyway, this makes her very easy to stand - Yippeee!

I have taken a photo to try and show what I mean:

    31. alexisbears - I will listen to your advice and make sure the mail man is gone before I release my girl. She will be in a very bad mood ^^. Hope to get news about her on Monday. Your Keiko is absolutely adorable! Great to hear about the new joints. I have to admit that I've been worried about my Person's posing ability.

    32. Oh my goodness Merci, you really have had an expensive couple of weeks! I hope that's it now with mechanical problems and you can share you dolly photos with us very soon!

Awww babyelf I'm so sorry to hear that this happened and you're still waiting. How weird that they've sent her back to Frankfurt. I hope she'll be returned to you soon. But in the meantime, I agree with Alexisbears, be very careful when you open her box, she is going to be one very very cross little Person after all this faffing about!!!

Alexisbears, congratulations on your new little Person, she's really pretty, and I love the wig and outfit you've chosen for her! Keiko is a great name too! Welcome to little Miss Keiko! But you're right on Persons, it is never a good idea to presume anything when one of these little people are involved, because they will argue that black is white....and you will have to politely agree with them.....for your own good! ;)

Thank you also for telling us about the new knee joints, that will make all the difference I'm sure, to their posing!!

I have been away from home now for almost three weeks and left my Persons in the care of my big head girls (Blythes).....I so hope that I'm not going to get any nasty surprises when I get back....but you just never know with Persons, they are a law unto themselves!! But I really have missed them, that's for sure. I think that I should take them wherever I go, if only for peace of mind! :)

    33. Always good to see a new Person! Linnet is getting VERY ANNOYED that all these Persons are getting their pictures on the forum and she is still sitting around waiting for me to do something with her. SOON. I swear.

    34. oh yes, I am learning that the hard way. Drusilla pretty much refuses to stand at all now. She tells me that too much time lying in the dolly drawer has made her muscles atrophy and it's just too much hard work to stand. She is somewhat mollified by the arrival of Alexisbears' Keiko as now she has a friend to vist with who will completely understand the difficulties of personhood.

    35. Next chance to get my Person: someone from the post-office called me and said they will deliver my Person 08 today to my work place. *hopehopehope*

    36. Oh dear! Lets hope she can be placated by a visit with her new friend then!!

Did she arrive babyelf? I really hope you got her yesterday as promised by the post office!

    37. Yes, she did arrive!! I can't be more happy now. I mean she really was a lot of trouble when I let her out, running in circles in my room and complaining about her long box sleep. But she calmed down a little bit when I introduced her to the other girls. She must be quite a drama queen, I guess. And I LOVE to take pics of her! Her name is Moomin.

    38. Congrats Babyelf. Moomin is a great name! Sounds like she's making herself right at home.

    39. Awww what a cutie babyelf!!!! And I love her dress!
Yes, I can imagine that behaviour. Be careful not to give her any sugar for a few days, you don't want to make matters worse!! ;)

    40. Congrats on Moomin's arrival, babyelf! She's super cute! I love her dress, too! It looks adorable on her. :D

    41. Moomin is so cute! I love her name AND her outfit!

    42. Thank you all! Moomin gets big-headed because of your lovely compliments :sweat.

But she is not only grumpy and drama queen, she's also very empathic and sympathetic. Yesterday I got food poisened and she felt sick too and tried to cheer me up.

~ sickness ~ von babyelf auf Flickr

    43. babyelf: I am so sorry to hear about your illness. I hope you are feeling much better now. Moomin is such a darling little girl, and I love her little Cookie Monster, too! :love

    44. Get well babyelf! I'm sure you are by now.

I just got a Blythe Middie. I thought you guys would like to know the stock fits Persons perfectly. Not the glasses though. Middies feet are tinier than persons, but her shoes are often big enough. Be careful about the shoes though. Middie stock can often be found on ebay alone. This stock was pretty crappy made except for the shoes, so watch out for that.

    45. Moomin is very cute......Persons do GRUMPY so well!!!

She looks great in her new 'stolen from Middie' outfit! I agree that the Takara outfits aren't all that great nowadays but sometimes you get lucky and something works well, as in this case! She has just the right attitude to carry this outfit off!

    46. [IMG]

    47. solymar: Adorable pic of your Persons! I love their cute outfits and those wonderful ski sets. :love

P.S. I love the verse in your signature--so very true!
      :aheartbea

    48. Babyelf: A big headed person... really?? XD Just to add to her affliction.. I do love little Moomin and her pretty dress <3

Wellermade: That outfit suits your girl so well! I especially like the jacket... such attitude!

solymar: Skiing persons! Lucky girls! I can't wait till ski season here, although I am very much enjoying the great summer we have had.

My little girl decided to tell me what for today... apparently I had her name all wrong. I will have to be more careful in the future with her, she does not stand for ignorance! XD

    49. I haven't been here for quite some time. All of the little persons are so adorable!!! Babyelf I do think your baby is especially adorable :aheartbea

Have all of the last dolls that were released been sent home yet? I would imagine they have been but I find it interesting that I have not seen any of the adorable outfits around... I loved though's outfits!

Here is a quick shot of my little Lottie at play
      [IMG]

    50. I have a couple of questions, hoping you guys can help. Do any of you use stands to help your persons stand easier? And if so are there any you can recommend? Or is it just a matter of getting them the right shoes? My girls fall over a lot, I would love them to be able to stand without the worry of them falling over. Also, they need wig caps - what size should I be looking for? Thanks in advance for any help! :)

    51. I was having a lot of trouble with my tanned girl standing. Her leg was flicky and they were both bowed. Inserting thin wire into her legs stopped the flicking and seemed to help a little with her stance. My previous person seemed to stand so much better but having big heads you do need to be very careful. Sorry I have never used a stand though.
My girls wig is 6/7 :) No wig cap required.

    52. oh my goodness!! all the little Persons are so cooool
      I like Moomin's name xD

and keep the picturespam stream flowing, it's wonderful to see all these dolls.
(I recently came across this site, and am still not entirely sure I want to order one, but I can totally admire them!!)

    53. alexisbears: I like your girl's new name. It's very pretty and seems to suit her very well. I love that sparkly headband she is wearing, too! :love

poordittums: This is a precious pic of Lottie. That little tricycle is so cute, and I love it that she is barefoot. That just adds to the cuteness. :D

wilco1407: Shoes do help Persons stand, especially boots. Neither of my Persons are wired, and I can get them to stand; but, like poordittums said, you have to be very careful when you stand up a Person. Never put your Person close to the edge of a shelf--not even if they are sitting. Due to their over-sized heads, they tend to topple over standing or sitting. Like poordittums mentioned, too, Persons wear a size 6/7 wig. I don't use wig caps either--on any of my dolls. However, if you want to use a wig cap, from what I understand, you purchase the wig cap the size of the dolls head, which is 6/7, then you purchase a wig the next size up, which would be 7/8. You could do some more research on this online, but that is what I have read myself. I hope this helps you out. :)

    54. Inserting wire in their legs sounds scary. Is that done without taking them apart?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    55. wilco1407 yes it does lol! It sounds like torture! No I didn't take her apart... re-stringing scares me too much! I actually just cut a piece the length of her leg and then fed it through the opening of her thigh all the way down to her ankle. So far so good but I don't want to recommend it to anyone incase you encounter problems. You shouldn't need to do this if you don't have a tanned version doll though, from what I gather this batch had the bad bendy/kicky legs :(

    56. I shouldn't have sold mine. Now I want one again .... awwww the more I see your pics the more I want one again.
      Please keep posting ;)

    57. Thanks for that. I don't have a tanned one. I probably just need more practice getting them to stand up. I must admit they don't have shoes on right now because they look cute with bare feet :)

    59. that's so cute! hehe if only you'd added music~
