This is the swap gallery for this secondhand swap. Participants, please post pictures of the things you've received here! ^-^ Once again thank you all so much for participating and being wonderful swappers. You all have been so great to work with.
I was always curious about secondhand swaps. Do you mind if I just watch this thread without participating? I don't have anything to trade for secondhand but clothes that I made myself...
Of course! We're actually all shipping out in the next week or two so you ought to be seeing some pictures soon. ^^ The galleries were meant for everyone to just see what these things are all about anyway. I can see you don't have marketplace access yet, but handmade clothing swaps are also a thing. ^-^
Awesome! I hope that after I get marketplace access and my doll arrives, I can try to sell some of the things I make. I'm really excited to try these things out. Thanks for letting my lurk XD
Hello!! Since I'm flying out in a couple of days my swap partner @little-reisuke sent my part of the swap out early~ thank you so much for doing that ;u; My half of the swap will be sent to my swap partner on Monday and I'll have the tracking number by tomorrow > Apologies for the quality of the pictures; my room is a bit of a mess at the moment because of packing and such. So! Here is an overview of everything I received! There are so many goodies!! I'm honestly floored by it all! Everything from shoes to wigs and eyes to props :'D Here are some shots of some of my absolute favorite pieces! My Sia has clothes now!!! I loved this little sweater on him, it looks so cute!! And now I wanna use up that tiny candle and get a nice bowl out of it > THESE EYES :O they look amazing in the light and I was so surprised and happy to see that these had been included!! I think they just take my little vampire boy to the next level? I'm so so so amazed with these, thank you so much ;;;;n;;;; Here is another huge surprise!!! Out of all my specific wishlist items, I think I was expecting a green wig the least... but here it is!! This is meant for my character Sapphire, but Octavia is modeling it now since my temporary head for Sapphire is too small for it. For reference, here is what Sapphire looks like: It's so so perfect. I'm so happy :') Aaaaand here's Octavia back in her proper wig. I actually don't know what the little yellow piece is? It looked like a hat to me so I guess that's what it is now :-) I didn't want to go through the whole process of changing out her clothes for her maid dress, but here she is with a new little headpiece and a broom. Now she's a proper maid This absolutely cute beret? It belongs to Lance now. Even if it's a tad too small for his big head. He still claimed it. I love this thing. Here's a detailed look at some of the smaller bits! Unfortunately the mask was broken in half during transit the package even had "fragile" written on it -n- I did manage to glue it back together after I took the photos though. The dagger there is blunt/not real, but it is made of metal and a decent weight and even comes out of its sheath. It's so cool! And actually, I've been seriously thinking about making a fantasy story for my dolls that includes intricate weapons, so not only was this perfect for that, but kind of a sign that yes, this is something I should do. All in all, I'm so so amazed by everything included. @little-reisuke thank you so much for everything. I loved the variety of things you sent and that you were even able to send several things on my specific wishlist. I can't wait to see everyone else's items! Happy swapping
@mermaids LOL the sword, broom, candle, necklace, dove, and mask were all i could find that seemed suitable for a 'wizard' since you mentioned one of your dolls is a wizard! im so sad the mask broke, i figured the cardboard protection the auburn wig and the thickness of the broom would help keep it safe but i guess i should have included some bubble wrap im so sorry about that! yes the yellow bit is a bonnet, its actually meant for YoSd scale but i figured it might work for your minifee since he cant wear pants he could at least wear tops and hats right? LOL oh the auburn fiber wig is size 6/7 and while its probably a bit girlie for your boy with its pigtails i thought it might still be nicer than being bald XP the red eyes you like so much are ersa flora, they are so dang pretty i almost wanted to keep them but in the end the doll they were meant for has makoeyes now and would have probably never used those again so i figured they had best move on to a new home where they would actually get used. LOL the beret is dollheart and was too small for the doll i bought it for too! (why these boys got such fat heads?) but that particular doll has so many hats and headbands so i thought one of your girls might like that one, although i will say it matches lance perfectly and looks so darn cute on him it really was meant to be!!! im happy so many of the pieces worked out and im glad i was able to get you some of your wishlist items too!
I received my package from @CloakedSchemer and it's so fantastic! Thank you so so SO much, I unpacked it with my girlfriend and we both kept pulling things out going "Oh, this is perfect for this doll or that doll!". I can't wait to post pictures, though it will have to wait until Saturday when I'm off most likely!
I'm so glad you like the stuff I sent! I tried to give as much variety as I could with the sizes and styles you listed.
@mermaids I love your package! Everything worked out so well, it's such a relief. Oddly enough I think that broom is my favorite piece that you received. xD @sophiesoliday Do post pictures whenever you can! I'm so curious to see your dolls with their new things.
I received my gift from @KuroHitsuji yesterday, bu since I was visiting my dad, I didn't get to take pix until now. (And there was some candy in there but it mysteriously disappeared before photos. Oops! XD) There was a dark teal blazer that was perfect for Dhani! He thinks it makes him look kind of Mick Jagger-ish, so it's a win! Opaline laid claim to the lacy ruffly black shirt and the bird/crown/veil hair piece. She's usually a more casual goth, but says this will be great for when she needs to be fancy. (Sorry for the flash but it made the details more visible!) There is a pale minty colored long skirt that would be best fitted for Loren--unfortunately, she does not have a body yet, so this is the best we could do here. Still nice to have something waiting when her body gets here! Also, cute little dessert roll! There was a black/red shirt that Jack is modeling and my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE THING IN THE BOX: This GameCube Controller! I have wanted one of these for awhile, not even lying, I was looking at them on eBay last week and refusing to pay $10+ for it, so this was a magnificent surprise! Perfect for my Nintendo Geek! Thank you so much @KuroHitsuji for everything, and for the variety of things!
@CloakedSchemer I'm so glad you like them. And all your dolls look great. And yes, I recalled that your (DoT) boy likes Nintendo stuff so I thought it would be a wonderful gift for him. I'm happy you really like it.
Hello, I just received the parcel from my swap partner @sophiesoliday yesterday. I was amazed at all the things sent to me! Hands down, my favorite thing out of this is the pink alpaca wig! This was one of the least things I had expected... Thank you so much for making the wig, I love it! I only took some of the pictures of the outfits with my doll since there were so many in there. Hope you don't mind. I'll be using my Little Monica Elena, Lily as the main model since I don't have my Fairyline body home yet. This is Lily dress in the Fer inspired dress with my favorite item, the pink alpaca wig! There's also the cute little matching bracelet as well. I love the color of the wig so much! I can't thank you enough!!!! Next, is the pretty green outfit, flower hair clip, and the white sandals. It fits a little loose on Lily but it works. The dress has a very pretty green color. I added my little kitty basket in the picture, isn't she cute! Next is the lacey light blue dress, very pretty! She'll definitely use it. The next outfit is not quite her style, but I thought it looked very cute in a boyish way (I added a my beret to make her look extra adorable). It makes me want to get an MSD boy...LOL Unfortunately, none of the clothes fits my 70cm... However my SD boy (Shiki) claimed it, so it was all good. XD He's wearing the dark gray button up shirt. Next up is my Feeple65/Soom Breccia hybrid (Scarlett). This Victorian outfit is very pretty though it was a challenge to get her in the outfit since she's very busty and only one of the skirt fits her. The other one didn't got up her thick thighs... She still looked gorgeous in it and I had a perfect necklace to go with the outfit. Lastly, this pretty lingerie slip and socks! Scarlett looks so vintage wearing this! Sophie, thank you so much for sending such a wonderful and variety of items!!!!
Oh @KuroHitsuji I'm so glad you liked what I sent! I was quite nervous especially about the SD and Feeple65 stuff since I hadn't had those sizes in years, but I'm so glad you were able to find things for yours! Your Scarlett is gorgeous in those outfits too! Also pleased you liked the wig, I worked hard on and had fun making it!
I received my swap box and loved everything! I have hard to fit dolls, so my partner used their imagination to send me an awesome box! Here is the little table, chairs and tea set my girls love already! My partner sent me patterns and fabric, including beautiful Japanese cotton and embroidered swiss cotton. This is awesome since I love to sew! And a little bench for my Customhouse Petites: Thank you so much! I wasn't sure of my partners DOA username to mention here. I had a lot of fun with this swap! I'm working on a custom outfit for the partner I sent to, but I hope she liked everything else. Thank you @HoushiChan for hosting!
@whisperwolf, it was me! And that first picture just blows me away! It looks like everything was just made for them! They fit in the table and chairs so well! They were always slightly too big or slightly too small for my own dolls, but they look perfectly organic with yours. I'm really glad the patterns and fabric found such a good home too I loved them, but it was just a shame I wasn't doing anything with them so it was serendipitous that as my swap partner, you loved to sew. Thanks a bunch for such nice pictures!
