Second-Hand Doll Waiting Room v. 4

My girl arrived yesterday! She is so sweet ♡

 

I bought a limhwa half elf on this forum who is due to arrive any hour now. I can barely contain my excitement. The hardest part of waiting is the DAY it's due to arrive. I have a slight sinking feeling that my post master is going to be lazy. I've had it happen before that they don't even bother to get out of their truck and just leave the "you weren't home D:" card. Crossing my fingers!

 

Just bought to halfs of a doll from 2 users on here(head from 1, body from another). Hopefully she will finally be here either tomorrow or Saturday *o* It even looks like they're both going to arrive here on the same day which would be just pure luck because 1 package is from Germany and the other from the US. I may be grossly wrong about the Germany package and jumping the gun just because it hit US soil. ;w; But i hope since it's so small it will whiz through customs.

 

ARRR my doll has been sitting in the same post office for four days now...

 

Sighs my Bijou is still somewhere between here and Russia. It's now been about five and a half weeks since she was originally shipped, about five weeks since the Russian tracking site updated the tracking to "Export of International Mail." I'm really worried that this means that there can't be any kind of insurance, if Russian post thinks the box is in the US, and the US post says "Origin post preparing shipment" and thinks the box is still in Russia, so no one appears responsible for it.

 

I was panicking, but it was totally unnecessary- my doll arrived in America today! USPS says "Your item has been processed through our sort facility in ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS) at 1:48 pm on March 18, 2015." So it shouldn't be too much longer until the little one is here!

 

I've been waiting for my Fairyland Minifee Moe Line Fullset Mika to get to me and since I'm so antsy I decided to post here. I'm so excited for my boy, and what a nuisance that I paid for 3-5 day shipping and yet his tracking hasn't even updated from saying he had left his original country. USPS tells me that the customs offices are backed up and that might be the reason he hasn't made his way to me in the estimated time, but you'd think they'd at least scan his tracking so I could find him. Anyways, I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed and hope that he comes tomorrow. I just want my little boy!!

 

Also in the waiting game for my Pre-loved Volks SDGr Lorina. She'll be brought home by my grandmother who's in the USA right now. Teehee!

 

I'm still waiting for my little boy, but at least now I know he's made it into customs! I've got my fingers crossed that he'll show up on Monday, but I have a feeling it'll actually be Wednesday at the earliest.

Just thought I'd drop by to share both my excitement as well as my mild annoyance and anxiousness... I bought the most gorgeous Unoa L-Bi off the marketplace about two months ago and paid him off on a short layaway. However the seller is pretty bad communicating with me and even though I paid him off two weeks ago she still hasn't shipped him out. Last update I got was that she was going to send him on Thursday or Friday but again got no response after that so I'm assuming she hasn't... u.u;

In any case.. it's hard to explain just how excited I am for this doll to come home! I've loved L-Bi ever since I joined the hobby and I'm now given the chance to own one!

My boy is finally here! All I can say is I adore him, and I think I'll only buy Fairyland dolls from now on haha

 

[MENTION=15303]Aram_Kepley[/MENTION] xD I can see why you would say that, but in my experience Fairyland has been a love/hate relationship all in all. While I've loved CP ever since I joined the hobby the famed minifee poseability proved itself to be subpar, after the novelty wears off I found most of their bodies to look quite awkward (which is the reason why the only FL body in my possession is a modded one) and literally the one good thing they have going for them is that they handle the poses they can get into prety solidly while the interchangable hands are both a nice gimmick to have as well as a blessing when changing clothes. Of course, if that's what you want to do and it makes you happy by all means do so, perhaps it's my massive falling out with Fairyland after all their resent hiccups speaking!

On other news... my L-Bi was finally shipped out and now I'm rolling about in restlessness since even if he did arrive tomorrow, I'll still won't be at home till next week to receive him!

 

Waiting on a volks body second hand for my Tenten head!

 

Just bought a Soom Feny/Necy secondhand.
I wanted her for quite some time now and I still can't believe I got her.
Now I am in for the wait, till she gets here.
(I am sure it will take forever, because I can't wait to have her with me xD)

I just bought a secondhand Illusion Spirit Teresa from the marketplace to be a friend for my other mature tiny. She shipped out a few days ago but I took a trip to New York and didn't have a computer. But I hope we all get our dolls soon. xD

I bought two Soony heads and I'm about to buy a body for them to share! I'm just so excited she was the sculpt that got me into BJD soo long ago. T_____T

 

She's a hybrid I have to do some work on the head and the body for them to match!

Congrats on your hybrid! I actually didn't even have to wait for my two Soony heads to ship, I got them at the meetup. Now I also need to find them bodies. >__<;; Hybridizing can be the worst sometimes! I have one body coming soon, a Doll Leaves I bought second hand on this marketplace so I am really excited for it to arrive. I hope it somewhat matches!!

So, I missed the postman and my doll today, because I was at work. I'll have to pick him up before work tomorrow. So close, yet, so far!

 

I found another body! The best part about doing lab work is the downtime that I can use to surf the marketplace. I am hopefully getting both of these bodies by next Monday and then I won't be waiting anymore

Just paid for my first two YoSD sized dolls: A Mystic Kids Nelly and a Soom Glot first edition fullset.

I'm hoping that they will both be here within the next two weeks or so.

 

I'm posting here even though my doll should arrive tomorrow because I'm SO EXCITED.

I did a trade for an Iplehouse nYID Erica and she should be here tomorrow!! I'm hoping she can get a faceup at the meet up this weekend. I'm so thrilled and excited to get her!! She's going to be so beautiful..!

 

I just bought my grail doll and I am so freaking excited. Iuh..ended up buying both an Unoa Lusis and Sist because it was such a good deal, even though I only wanted the Sist. It's going to be so hard to part with the other gal but it must be done. :c

I paid but the seller is waiting on it to clear from paypal to her account before she ships them. Which is understandable. I have buyers insurance so I'm not worried. Just super duper excited!!

 

I just bought an amazing Luts Winter 2014 event head painted to look like Nux from Mad Max: Fury Road! He is being shipped out on Monday and I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!! I hope he matches the extra body I have, otherwise poor Nux will be a floater for a bit :c

 

Buyer told me she's going to ship Monday regardless of whether the paypal money clears to her account and my excitement increased tenfold!!

 

I just got her!!! yay!!! now I have to go get materials so I can do body blushing on her.... Lol this is going to take awhile

 

Finally found a GITS Gynoid today, and she'll be on her way shortly!

She's about a decade old and the seller noted that she's experienced some yellowing... curious to see how the particular resin those dolls used holds up!

My short layaway is over and I have the tracking number for my IS Minos. I'm really excited to get him home!

 

Waiting patiently for my DC Charles body... He's supposed to arrive today. *Runs to the window every time a car drives by*

 

I'll definitely take some, there's not a whole lot of info out there on the gynoid so hopefully I can add to what's there.

Thanks, I looked at my tracking and of course nothing ever shows up on the weekends.

Edit: Okay, I peeked at the tracking again and my doll was delivered to the big city sorting facility an hour ago, so we will see if it makes it here tomorrow as the tracking suggests.

Additional Edit: He is here and in great condition. Really happy with the new guy!

 

Good news is that she finally arrived at the shipper, bad new is that the package weighs over 13 lbs! Those international shipping fees are going to hurt.

 

Shipped today! Weighty package, $120 via EMS, but she'll be here soon, at least.

 

I just bought a Fifth Motif Venitu off the market place. He should be here tomorrow!

This will be my first large doll. I've only ever had MSD sized dolls (or smaller) so I'm a little nervous to be honest.

I just bought a secondhand Soony Minifee head from Fairyland's 2014 event!
I'm so excited to finally get my dream doll in a more manageable size. Now I need to find a body for her! I'm hoping I can find one secondhand for a better skin match, but if not, I'll order a new one during the winter event.
I've got my old Delf Soony on layaway for another user right now. She was just too big and the old Delf heads are so hard to open that I just couldn't do anything with her.

 

Hello everyone! Man, it's been a really long time since I've posted in a waiting room... But I finally put the last payment down on a secondhand Dollmore Zaoll Luv Pharaoh! It's only been 2 (today will be 3) business days since she was shipped, but it's been so long since I've bought a doll that the wait time is already killing me! I'm trying to remember what I used to do to make the wait times easier and all I can remember is checking the tracking number obsessively and looking at box opening photos. Wait... now I remember... I've never been able to handle the wait time... UGH.

 

Aaaaand I've just found a seller for a minifee a-line body so my new girl won't be headless for long after all!

Her head and body are both being shipped to me on Monday, so we'll see which one gets here first!

 

I'm so excited! Someone contacted me about a dark tan Resinsoul Ming that they wanted to rehome (dark tan ming is my number one favorite doll in the entire universe). So of course i jumped on it! I sent the full payment today and I'm waiting ever so patiently for my guy to come to his new home!!

His name will be Deireadh Fomhair, and he will be The Bringer of Autumn. Red, orange, and yellow hair, leaf tattoos all over his body, sweaters. He's going to be my fall faun.

I just bought two Leekeworld ent fairies. They have never even had faceups. I got a Honey and a Sweet, and they have human and fantasy parts. The tracking numbers were sent to me today! I can't wait!

I found a Volks SD13 Emma full set in the marketplace and I can't wait for her to arrive. I been hunting this doll down since 2007 and gave up nearly 5 years ago of ever finding her. So when I saw her I couldn't help myself. She will be my first SD doll and am happy she is a full set so she won't be sitting around without clothes.

 

Wow, everyone is so excited! Congrats on your new dolls everyone! I'll admit the marketplace is dangerous (for our wallets) too. I've bought some dolls secondhand already (including my grail who I never thought I'd find) and I'm currently watching a bunch of threads (I'm being good though, I swear) and paying off a Ringdoll Petter and a Minimee Yoshiki head! I can't wait until I get them home.
