Second-Hand Doll Waiting Room v. 4

So happy for everyone to read the good news ! I will have a sleepless weekend ahead as I didn't receive or manage to locate the parcel... Singapore speedpost airmail tracking is horrible, doesn't give any specifications of its whereabouts. Will only go with EMS from now on. Never received a slip about a delivery attempt, but will try at the local post office on Monday. Till then... nerves are thinner than ever...

Thanks SmoteyMote, at least tracking states clearly, it has arrived in Austria, gone through customs, then from arrival at "destination" to another "destination" which isn't further specified. Weird, but thankfully the seller is keeping in touch and trying to help.

Just ordered an Iplehouse Violet! Now begins her adventure from Scotland! So excited!

 

I totally forgot how unnerving it is to fear for a doll getting lost somewhere on the way. I managed to get over the day numbing myself by going to a circus with the kids. But I'm so, so worried, and there's still the Sunday ahead. First thing on Monday morning is I'm visiting the local post office to see whether the package has been dropped off there, even though I didn't get any note.
Trying to stay positive !

I bought USD at overseas and really hard to wait that long shipping...

 

I've been waiting for a couple weeks for my Dollzone Cherry that I bought from a friend. The I'm in Southern Oregon, she's in Northern California... so normally the doll should have arrived very quickly. The postal service had another idea. They sent her South... to L.A. She bounced around down there forrrrever, until my friend contacted all the right people, and they finally shipped her north... passed Oregon to Washington. It's our normal hub, but still really crazy to watch her bounced around like that! She's finally in my town, but tomorrow is a shipping holiday... so I'm waiting until Tuesday.

In the meantime... I kind of... well... ordered another doll. A Supia Haeun. She too is arriving on Tuesday!

I'm all nerves! SO excited!

 

Congrats everyone to your arrivals/orders! I'm really frustrated by now with Singapore post. Gave them a call this morning to find out who is their delivery partner in my country, because it's not the Austrian post and there isn't any information about that in the tracking system. Guess what? Singapore speedpost customer service is not allowed to "reveal the third party's name" . What is this secrecy sh*t? Pfff... Now I have no choice but to follow the suggestion to "kindly wait for another day or two".

Just ordered my first secondhand doll a Littlefee and I'm excited and nervous. I've heard some horror stories and hope all goes smoothly and she is here within the week.

 

Most of the time, there's no problem at all. I'm also waiting on clothes from a Korean company which were sent accidentally to Canada. But with the clothes, it doesn't bother me too much, in the worst case, the company can send out another set to the right destination. With a secondhand doll it's different, plus the one I'm expecting is a unoa kit with a limited faceup which can't be replaced. Maybe today's the lucky day .

 

I buy all sorts of dolls if which many are second hand and the bad stuff that sometimes happens is usually the exception not the rule. Plus DoA has a great feedback system, which I love. Just do your research and hope for the best. And don't pay as a gift! :P

 

SO glad today finally, some customer service representative from Singapore speedpost sent me a mail with the necessary info. The L-Bi is held by GLS in Austria, who did not bother to try and reach me. I called them up and indeed, they are holding my package and want an invoice for customs. Looks like a happy end is in sight, I'm relieved...

Hi guys! I've got a secondhand Delf Ttori on layaway that I'm stupid-excited for, as well as a couple other dolls new from their companies!

 

Thank you so much Praesagium, I must say the seller did everything possible, too, kept calling speedpost even though she's currently on holiday overseas herself. I'm so glad she helped! Got a reply from DLS they'd send the doll tomorrow, gotta go to the bank today as on top of it, will pay plenty of customs fees. But then hurray^^ !

So excited! I managed to pay off my Nelen with my last check and she should be shipping in a day or so!

 

I payed off my Dearmine Dearpet Dorothy yesterday from the wonderful lady who sold her to me. I hope she gets here soon (but not too soon)! I am trying to delve into making shirts for my Feeple60 Chloe (I have no money to spend on clothes now soooo I gotta try again. I can't do pants though, they turn out baddd). Hopefully I can downsize the pattern for my Dorothy so she can have new shirts. It's been a while sense I've gotten anyone new.

I won a Volks SDC Mina head on Y!J n_n She won't have her own body but she'll share with my SDC Gretel. I have a new pair of hands coming, too, so that should help her feel like a whole doll n_n

Update: Both the head and hands are finally in at fromjapan. It says it'll take them two business days to pack and send me the shipping charge @_@ I'm getting excited XD

 

Finally my USD arrives at friends house! But I need to wait more till she send it to me ;( Buy second-hand doll in abroad is quite need to be patient as much as buy a new doll lol

This is my second time buying second hand so I'm very excited that he'll be here so soon, but still kinda nervous. My seller told me that there would be some issues with sending out the head today (as we had agreed on) but apparently there is a public holiday where she lives (I checked, its legit) so they can't send the head out util Wednesday. I gotta say, it scared the life outta me seeing them say that they couldn't send out today. I've read waaaayyyy too many problem transactions threads omg. But hopefully things work out and the head is shipped to me soon!

 

I posted in the layaway thread but forgot to post here. I have an Unoa Sist/Dollndoll hybrid on layaway but should be making my last payment next week! I can't wait to have her home. She'll be my second doll and my first secondhand doll so I hope everything goes well.

 

I shipped my minifee Chloe head this morning and I'm waiting for a minifee Miyu head from [MENTION=60853]SwordPony[/MENTION]. I can't wait to get her! So excited

I came to join in on the excitement! I have a Iplehouse BID Elin coming as well as a Fairyland Rolly.
The Elin is traveling from Spain and the Rolly from Canada. Since I live in Canada I expect to see Rolly very soon. The waiting game is rough.

 

I paid off my Unoa/Dollndoll hybrid Monday and she should be sent out today. Just waiting on the tracking number.

So I have my second second-hand doll waiting to be shipped out.
It is a Dollzone Beetta. I paid for her yesterday and then went out and bought her so many clothes haha I have an order from Crobidoll, rRabit and Alice's Collection of clothes and things for her.
I still need to think of a name for her though. I already have a frankendoll that I call Lucy and a human bust I named Lucy but I really want to call her Lucy too! I have a thing for the name apparently.

~ Doing the Singapore post game again (did I say something like "never again", not too long ago)? This time, the package will have my phone number, and I have the carrier company's contact info. The previous unoa (boy kit) had a brother and with the seller being so friendly and helpful (offering layaway) I couldn't resist. Should get a shipping notice soon !

 

Got notice today when I woke up that my dollie wont be shipped out on time because of a missing headplate. It seemed to have fallen out and the original owner kept it. The person I am getting her from is getting it back though. Just going to be a weeks wait.

Eolomea, Thank you! I am still a newb here so I only know some names of things but the seller called it a headplate. It is the little metal piece inside the head?
Oh I hope so. The stuff I ordered for her should be arriving about the same time as her so I have a huge haul coming. haha I can't wait! This is my first doll I have gotten on my wish list. My frankendoll was a spur of the moment buy.

Edit: The courier would have delivered yesterday, and where was I? At the dentist's. Nevermind I spent nearly an hour on the phone before I left in order to get the message through to GLS that the parcel may be left at my mother's next door. I discovered a paper slip somewhere in the dirt on the street that he'd come back today. So hopefully, I'll be able to post a happy pic from the box opening soon .


Big relief , my second Unoa Kit (the B-El) arrived today! I cheated for this picture, it's just the two brothers' faceplates, borrowing my other boys' bodies till their kits will be completed (please excuse the unkempt wigs). Aren't they super cute together?
