Second-Hand Doll Waiting Room v. 4

I bought an Isladolls Raspberry a few days ago and the seller has informed me she’ll be shipped out Monday!

 

I won a doll in an online live auction. Only one photo, and not super clear, but I think she is a Volks Nono on the SD10 small bust body! She will be picked up by the shipper on Tuesday. Fingers crossed that the shipping fee for such a service is not insane.

 

I found a Unoa Ange! Cannot wait for her to be shipped!

Turns out that my mystery girl is a Mimi, which is perfectly fine with me. She was picked up by the courier yesterday, so I should have her soon.

Totally forgot to post! She arrived on Sunday. I only put together a few quick photos to get help IDing her. She is a Mimi!

 

I didn't want to post before because it didn't feel real. But I found a Unoa B-El on Dollyteria for ¥19845 (+ shipping) and he's just left Tokyo! He could be here in a week! He was definitely an impulse purchase but he's perfect for one of my characters and I am absolutely beside myself with excitement.

 

I bought the exact DC body i was looking for today! *squee* :’D someone was having a sort of leaving-the-hobby-sale on resin market & I’m so excited.. He’ll be headless for a while since I’ll have to pre-order it, but I have lots of fun plans for body blushing while I wait ^_^! He’s going to be my very first MSD I wonder how I’ll like the size…? I bet it will be more portable than my SD, I’ll probably have less trouble lugging him around the house ;D
Anyway, let’s say a small prayer in the hopes that the postal service is swift and delicate “^_^

Once the weather starts cooperating with my energy levels, I'll get them a faceup! Only downside was that because some dolls have customisable... Bits, I'll say. This doll didn't come with them secondhand, or any of the option parts like extra faceplates. But honestly I don't care, they're perfect for Kei and I can absolutely work with what they've got.

Hope everyone else's orders go as well! (And given a mix-up that happened, entirely on my end, and the amazing customer service they showed in return: if anyone is on the fence about Dollyteria, I definitely wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!)

 

I'm carefully optimistic that I might be receiving a preloved Honey Delf in the upcoming week. They're quite old and I'm not sure if the face-up will come off but I was willing to take a risk as they came relatively cheap.

The doll was picked up by their original owner at Luts in Korea themselves on the day of its release and they do come with a CoA and the old generation box so it should be okay.

I'm really excited as this is the first 'new' doll in a long while. The hobby has become too expensive here in the EU unfortunately. I should be downsizing for funds but I'm afraid I'll never be able to purchase them again if I regret selling a certain sculpt. Companies are discontinueing, owners are scalping each other, knock-off are rampant. Prices and risks are just becoming too steep.

But for now I'm really excited and look forward to meeting them. Please come quickly~!

 

Oh that sounds like quite a find! I'm sorry to hear about the state of the hobby in your sphere, that sounds quite stressful. I hope your new friend arrives fast and you have a lovely time with them~

Thank you so much for your kind words, they're very soothing. They arrived yesterday which I'm not sure is a good or bad omen. It was a horrible day to be honest involving a visit to the ER and everything planned going absolutely haywire. Luckily things ended well but it still stings to think about it. I'm trying not to associate it with the little friend that arrived because they're exactly what the seller promised. I feel lucky in that regard. Happy to see there are still positive experiences to be had.

Congratulations ^__^ Minifee Alan looks great! I'm not a fan of MSD size but he totally caught my radar when he first appeared. Be sure to share him lots and lots~!

I hope your only association for the new doll is with the bad day ending! A balm of sorts. (Though I could certainly understand it... not working out that way.) Heck, I'm the kind of person that would give a doll a medical device to remind me i won the day after something like that, but that may not be something that helps you.

I'm going to mark them or have them carry a keepsake for sure to remind me they arrived on a rather special day. That's a great idea, thank you for the suggestion. I'm indeed trying to mark it as a positive thing on a less than stellar day for sure. The 'victim' that had to visit ER even held them a little on the evening they arrived. I've been carrying them around with me to work for the past two days and no bad luck so far so I think it's all good. I need to start taking some pictures so I can spam the honey delf thread.

 

Ahhh my incoming doll got hit with custom fees, which was to be expected but still Hope they're not too expensive but I have to wait for the letter so I don't expect her here until Wednesday next week

 

Was just going to buy some Soom Petit Gem pieces... and then of course I looked through the seller's other listings, and long story short I've got my first floating head project incoming! It's a DC Julianne, I always loved her head but was unsure on the extreme body proportions. I'll probably end up getting another DC body for her at some point.

 

I'm currently waiting on a RosettaDoll Aloe head and a Volks SDGr body The body should be here by next week since I ordered from Mandarake and the shipping is quite quick, the head might take a bit but in the meantime I'm trying to find inspo for her faceup

 

Boo no Parcelforce letter today... Hopefully tomorrow. I'm driving myself crazy with imagining how big the charges are going to be I'd rather just know!!

Edit: I got impatient today when there still wasnt a letter and rang them up. The fees were about what I'd expected/hoped they would be (though I had some crazy moments of imagining something a lot worse ). She should be here tomorrow!!!

Just payed for a Black Cherry Agave in light tan/milk chocolate. The current owner is giving her a new face up and sending her with a handmade wig as well so I'll have a little wait, but I'm so excited for her to get here. Been admiring the Black Cherry girls since I started in the hobby so I'm thrilled to finally have one of my own

 

Just bought Rosettadoll Cheonso and Illusion Garden Unicorn Yuli... Hopefully they will be here in couple weeks...

 

Just bought a second hand tiny! I've been really getting into some of the Russian art dolls from smaller artists, and when she popped up I couldn't resist. Fingers crossed she gets here safely!

 

just paid for volks mika off of mandarake today…slightly impulsive but it was a great deal with lots of extras. i’m super excited and i wanna make her be super 90s jrock style :3

 

I’m getting my first resin bjd, starting off strong with a Volks SDGr Rapunzel! I found her on YJA and I am really excited!

And I'm back here yet again! This time I'm waiting on a Switch Damhyeon head in milktea rose, a Switch 65 body in milktea rose, and a Migidoll 68 body!

I do have a question though! The seller sold me the Migidoll body as "normal skin" but when I look at their resin colors, there's two resin that might be -- meringue beige or sugar white? Is there an easy way to check the body's true resin color, for my own obsessive records?

I'm so excited! My Doll Love, Yiyi is in the mail on her way to me! The wait is almost over ~

 

I got a customs notification on Friday and cleared it immediately online(living in this digital age definitely has its perks!!!). It's been a long weekend of refreshing the tracking page, even though I know the mail folks have their weekends off,- can't remember the last time I've been this excited for Monday she should be here by Tuesday, I'm just hoping that the mail gods smile down on me and she'll magically be behind my door already on Monday

Through some very eventful days and amazing people I have Dollmore Alexia and an Illua body being shipped to me tomorrow. I still can´t believe I was able to get them. Definitely got an amazing deal. Hopefully they´ll be here soon!

 

I'd been umm-ing and ahh-ing about a SDM F-39 on Dollyteria because I didn't love her faceup, then yesterday I woke up to an email alert from Mandarake...

She's exactly what I wanted! She was storefront so I didn't get my hopes up until I got the shipping notification, but she's mine! I'm having her sent to my Tenso because there's a few other things I'm getting from Japan soon, so it'll be a while before she comes home. Now I just need to pick out name for her...

 

I am so excited to get a Yummysweetdoll Anzu. I just discovered this creator and definitely wanted to sample some of her work. I was lucky to find someone with a chocolate sculpt of a previous preorder she ran some years back. Hopefully I will be smitten with the design because I am also loving her current preorder and work she is doing. Her current dolls are just a little too big for my current preferences.
