Second-Hand Doll Waiting Room v. 4

My supiadoll Rosy is out for delivery! I also ordered a Soom Marl and she has shipped.

 

My two Meadowdolls (dumpling Patti and MSD Tulla) were finally delivered today! Post got snarled up by both Chinese New Year and coronavirus-related reduced post office hours so I had to wait twice as long. My Roze Heln seems to have been stuck in Miami for a week. Not that there's a rush as I still have to choose a face up artist for her. *sigh*

 

They tried to deliver while I was at work. I'll have to pick her up from the post office tomorrow after work.

 

I'm waiting on a Dollshe Amanda in modern gray skin! I'm so excited for my shipping notice from the seller!

 

Just got my Saint today from the post office. He's so gorgeous! Wishing for a safe and fast arrival of your dolls guys!

 

I got both of my girls last week! I am completely in love with both of them. I will need to send my Soom Marl out for a new faceup shortly, just waiting on her wig and eyes to get in.

I'm waiting for my first boy in the BJD hobby - a DollShe Arsene (the 70cm guy), coming from Chile! He is going to be so huge, the largest dolly I have now is 58cm

 

My Iplehouse Faline shipped out yesterday She should be arriving tomorrow! I'm quite happy to be getting her!

 

I'm getting impatient for my Dust of Dolls Roze Heln to arrive! She made it to Hong Kong a week ago now, I think, but processing times are slow. I wasn't sure if they'd deliver over the weekend so I was hoping for today, but still nothing. Come onnn!

 

I’m waiting for my twigling ingenue! I got to pay her off early when I sold another doll, and she’s shipping Wednesday from within Canada, so I can’t imagine she’ll take too long, I just want her in my hands asap

 

Finally got Roze Heln! I was trying to stop checking the tracking (assuming the 'out for delivery' message would go up in the morning), but she ended up being a surprise as they updated at 3pm and she was delivered an hour later. I've had so much fun playing with her, as all my other (human) dolls are from one artist and this is my first time seeing a different way of putting together a BJD.

 

Oh my gosh so jelly! That will be wonderful, I've wanted an Ingenue for the longest time. What colour is she?

Congratulations, she seems to be such a wonderfully sculpted doll! What artist are all your other dolls from?

 

They are all MeadowDolls. So far Heln is proving to be much more kicky than my MSD size Meadowdolls but more versatile with upper body posing. She may end up sitting most of the time but she is such a lovely shape all over.

 

She’s in white resin, and she’s going to need a repair when she gets here, but I’ve wanted one since I got into this hobby, and im so excited that she’s coming my way!!!

I just bought two heads and I'm waitin on em. I'm too excited! One is a Luts Diez head, which I've been pining over forever, and the other is an Oasis doll Zilan, which was complete impulse. I'm like vibrating with anticipation

 

Im waiting the Id72 now... i hope it will be good. I have bought it in 2nd hand.

Got my Appi Jama from previous owner. Baby had very long trip to Japan, but came safely and fast. Thanks to previous owner, who arranged her shipment very quickly and well packed I got if just before lockdowns so she didn’t stuck nowhere.

 

How lucky! I really want a Jäma; she's adorable. The prices I see are very high though. :/

I just stress bought a big doll chateau erwin! I'm excited for him to arrive, but if I'm being honest I might try to locate a sexta head instead because I love it so much. But we'll see when he gets here. I'll probably fall in love with him.

 

I gave up and I know I shouldn't order stuff currently but I know its worth the chance. I ordered the pretty boy Volks Baron from mandarake that I been eyeing for the last few weeks. I know I prob won't see another one in the same kind of condition as he had all his items still.

I'm honestly excited as he's one of volks most unusual dolls thats really a piece of history with the company.

 

Congratulations! I had eyed him a bit too, but I know what sticks in my collection by now lol.

Unfortunately I can't give you much hope on the shipping front as far as him getting to you quickly - The EID Evan I ordered from them shipped on the 10th and still hasn't moved. Still, I hope he finds his way home to you soon!

 

Yeah I know the shipping times are going to be a good bit longer but He's mine and on the way thats what matters. I'm still waiting on a box of doll clothing and props too that shipped over a week ago XD as long as its moves when it moves then everything is okay.

I was actually doing a bit of research on Volks Baron. Random tidbit of information time! He actually was released back in 2003 so he's actually an really old doll. Also he was released at the same time as Volks Chii. I know a lot of people didn't like him because he actually doesn't look like the movie Baron but theres a reason for that. Since it was a Collaboration doll. Volks Baron was actually based off the manga by Aoi Hiiragi. I haven't been able to find how tall he is but I'll def get that info when he arrives. considering like 300 of Baron was made they are still super rare and rather unknown. It took about 2 years after the release date to fully sell all the dolls.

 

I'm waiting for a feeple scarlett sleeping head ! I missed the head one time but now she will be at home !

Waiting for my RSDoll Verroky that I got off YJ that’s still stuck in the post office after 2 weeks I hope he doesn’t get damaged sitting there too long...

Also waiting for my Ringdoll Lan Wangji that I bought of Xianyu, which, last I saw, was heading to my country

 

I am baaaack! I am waiting for a Fairyland Nanuri 08 head that will hopefully be shipping from Spain next week. I am scared as to how long it might take to get here.

He will have issues, won't he? Will he be claustrophobic or perhaps after being locked up so long he will have agoraphobia or casadastraphobia?

I bought this custom Resinsoul body for my SD girl!! She arrived even earlier than expected and I'm in love with the smoothness and color of her resin, plus she was my first attempt at restringing which ended up being very unscary! (The seller sent her torso and bottom halves unstrung to save on shipping costs, so I just had to put her stomach and legs together. ) Her jointed hands are lovely too, if a bit fiddly, but that's only to be expected of jointed hands. Absolutely gorgeous, and so happy with the seller's rapid communication. Now I can't wait to put her all together!

Still no movement on Evan, not expecting any but I keep checking the tracking anyway lol.

Once Buyee shipped my doll I mentioned last time she got her lightning quick.

I had a little indiscretion on Y!J, but that's going to take a while.

One is a Pipos Cheshire and the other one a Fairyland Pukifee Pingpong.

The Cheshire should be here tomorrow or the day after, so I'm really excited.

 

I got tracking on my head! Not sure how long it will be though. Even the Spanish post office was "it will get there when it gets there, be patient".

Why did I do this to myself... I bought another doll... A 70cm doll off of Mandarake.

It was 20,000JPY (around $200), I chose DHL cause EMS was absolutely not moving and the shipping charge they quoted me was 10,000JPY($100!!!!!!)

I was seriously considering on cancelling my order but I asked them for the quotes for the other shipping options.

Apparently there was a mistake in my quotation
My actual shipping charge was 6,000JPY

vs EMS that was 4,000JPY

I stuck with DHL though, extra $20 instead of my package getting stuck is an absolute deal

@LaCantarella 1万 it’s seems “normal” cost for DHL.
I calculated today DHL cost from Russia to Japan, I was a little bit shock and really think that I must curb my appetites for international orders for a while

 

@Eva Brown I was so surprised! If I didn’t message Mandarake and they corrected their shipping price, the shipping cost would be 1/3 of the overall price of the doll. I’m glad I did though, the doll has reached my country!

Absolutely the right choice. XD; It's hit 1 month since my Evan was shipped. Still no movement. He hasn't been sent back, he hasn't gone to customs, he hasn't hit the US and started tracking here, he's just... Somewhere.

Meanwhile DHL got a doll from Japan to me in 37 hours. Absolutely worth the extra money rofl.

 

The same story with Japanese EMS.
One months ago sent DC Jason’s head For FA commission in Malaysia (no suspension wasn’t and still not mentioned on JP post official website for this country).
In tracking info only Posting/Collection in local post office — within 1 month!
Just somewhere, and even not in this office already, no returning , nothing.

I seriously think that I will not see him anymore.

 

Unless a premium service is used, mail is not moving. My head is sitting in Spanish customs, and they will not say how long it will take. Weeks? Months? Next year? They will not say.
On the plus, I got the fur in that I will try to use for her wig when she gets here.

 

I’m waiting on a Twigling Ingenue right now, who is apparently in transit from the UK to here (Canada). She’s been moving since late April, but I think customs will take some time. The courier claims I’ll be seeing her by the 14th, so I have hope!

 

Hello!! This is officially my first DoA post!!
I'm currently waiting on my first doll. I purchased her secondhand!
I paid a lot of money for priority, and I'm expecting her sometime by the end of this week! (Though I'm really hopeful that she'll be early...)
She's absolutely beautiful and I'm so excited for her to come home.
The previous owner had a custom faceup done for her, and honestly, it's the main reason I fell in love with her.
She is a Little Monica (60cm) Sarubia!!

Excuse my curiosity, did you applied EmS priority Or any other post service company?

 

She was sent via Priority through USPS. It was a 6-10 day shipping, and she was sent out last Monday!

 

My boy finally came home yesterday! He was sent on Friday so it took about 4 days.

 

Buyee has my package, waiting on photos and then it'll be an eye-watering shipping charge and then a few days more.

 

Hang in there!! I nearly paid $100 for my shipping, but ended up with paying like $50-60 for it instead because, unfortunately, 1-3 day shipping wasn't an option for the side of the package )': I've been waiting since last Monday, I really hope mine gets here by the end of the week or I may cry a little...

 

Haha there's no hope on that, the seller was overseas so there's double express charges rofl. The shipping to me is exactly what I expected it to be, it's just the shipping to them that makes it eek. On the bright side it only took 10 days to get to them so. XD;

That’s awesome! It’s amazing when that happens, isn’t it? I had that with my new boy and I’m completely obsessed now that he’s here. I’m just waiting on his wig, but he’s everything I hoped and dreamed for! I hope she’s like that for you! It’s such a great feeling!

 

I got a wig and some cute clothes too!! They just might take a while to get to me. I'm excited to style this doll in a way that transforms her into someone new. I think that's a fun part of getting one secondhand, and it's probably fun for the prev. owner to see as well!!! It's fun to watch the same sculpt/face-up look like a different doll/character.

 

Alright I paid for the shipping on the 14th, it's early AM Monday in Japan now, she's gotta be sent out later today, right? T_T

And my Evan still hasn't moved but I wasn't expecting him to.

 

Day 11 in customs for my doll head... I should start a pool. How long will she be stuck there?
