Second-Hand Doll Waiting Room v. 4

I'm waiting on a secondhand Volks Kurenai head scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I loved Kurenai when she first came out, and can't wait to have my own. I keep going further back in time with each new doll purchase.

 

Hey waiting room, I am so excited to be waiting! This morning I bought a secondhand Zaoll and she's already been shipped. I'm not sure how long shipping from Canada takes but the automated estimator thing said April 15.

 

my magic mirror keira's tracking updated to say she was delivered to the faceup artist today. i wasn't expecting her to arrive so soon, i havent even finished planning her faceup! i went ahead and ordered some clothing and shoes for her from taobao as well. i still need to get the things for her wig ;o;

 

Gonna finish paying off my DIM Benetia head on the 28th I'm so excited she's gorgeous

 

So happy my Zaoll arrived today second hand is the way to go!

I bought a dollshe ausley on ebay and she's being shipped Monday! I don't have a wig for her, but she'll hopefully be able to squeeze into some of my other msd stuff. Just until I get paid again or I whip something up.

 

Squeezing in here now too I purchased a SOOM Nor second hand here on DoA, he should be shipping Monday! I'm so excited. It was an unplanned purchase but I just fell madly in love. I'm so happy to be acquiring him. I always wanted a SOOM doll and seeing him just made me so happy. The seller has been super friendly this whole time too so all in all a great transaction so far. So very excited.

 

I am waiting on two flying in, one is a Soom Yuki (the girl bunny with the heart hands, i believe?) And one is DiM Flowne head. I also have five (oh boy that does sound like a lot) on a short layaway with a local, two withdoll girls, a pukipuki Pukisha, and... i think the other is a Little Fee Pukisha? And one other but i don't know if MP is on topic, but still! A lot! Oh gosh and here i thought my collection was getting smaller...

Edit to add: well my Yuki has arrived, and i have paid off the other five but won't pick them up until Saturday. Withdoll Halloween Scarecrow Cathy and Priscilla are the other girls. Now i just need the tracking to update for the Flowne head and find a suitable tail for my Yuki.

 

Never thought I would join this waiting room so quickly. I found a really adorable doll for a great price that I just loved the second I saw her. She may be an older doll but I think it just makes her more charming. Can't wait to recieve her. And it the meantime I should figure out what clothes and wigs fit her... and eyes..and shoes... oh boy

 

Just started layaway on a secondhand Luts Senior Delf Dahlia! My first SD-sized doll and third BJD overall, so I'm very excited.

 

After saying I was going on a doll hiatus for the rest of the year, I found a second hand Kid Delf that I clicked with. I’m super excited because it was the sculpt I was interested in. He should be here next week but the waiting is still killing me. This will actually be my second doll (though I have 2 others that I’ve ordered) and it’ll be my first second hand doll.

 

I'm waiting for a pukipuki body that I'll have to figure out making a headback for. It's going to be a fun project!

 

Waiting for my secondhand Minifees aaaaaa. Been waiting for them for a bit, it's taking forever because international qwq but I'm excited to see them. I've made characters up for them already 3

 

I just ordered Black Box Wepwawet 2nd hand. It was an impulse buy and I really hope that I don`t regret it.
(I was looking for Medjed but had no luck finding him)

 

Just got paid WAY sooner than I expected and paid off the aforementioned SDF Dahlia. I ordered a nice wig for her and everything. Not certain about the Dahlia sculpt, so I might sell the head and find a different one for her, but I'm reserving judgment until I actually get her here. Some owner pics look really nice, but others are a bit anime-esque for my taste. Still so excited to have my first 1/3-scale doll!

 

I bought a very old Bobobie Sprite off a Facebook group for a whopping fifty dollars and am OVERWHELMINGLY IMPATIENT for her to arrive tomorrow as she is my first doll!

Bought a secondhand Yue Jin (Doll Family-H) from a seller in Malaysia. Pretty sure he's stuck in customs, since it's been forever since tracking updated, agh.

 

My MagicMirror Studio SD Maeve / Impldoll Star hybrid is stuck in New York Customs since Sunday. It's so nerve wrecking! I'm reading a lot of bad things about NY customs but I hope she comes home safely. I think only 10 SD Maeve heads were ever made so I'm concerned but hopeful.

 

Thoughtful to see this thread exists and I'm beyond excited for everyone on their dolls. Congratulations and may all your dolls have a safe trip home!

As for me, recently sent a secondhand Illusion Garden Hades off to the spa for his face up. Am floored to have this opportunity and am dying to see what concept the artist comes up for him.

 

My girl has shipped! I should have her in a week, which is perfect timing as there is a large meetup coming up that I can spoil her at with shopping.

 

I'm ba~ack! I saved up 4 months rent AND enough for a body and head so uh.. Ruthie & Co get their Mom once her pieces have shipped. The head from Germany and the body from Switzerland. My dolls are totally more well-travelled than I.

 

Lol. I am right there with you. I do not spend my money on traveling, I spend it on dolls that travel to me.

My girl has not moved in a few days... seems she is stuck in a sorting center in France. I hope she still gets here before the big meetup next weekend!

It's pretty amazing; so tiny and detailed! They're flowers, but the overall aesthetic definitely reminds me of lace

Well, tracking never worked, but my girl is almost here! I came home from lunch and found the magic card in the box. I planned on getting her after work, but then the postman came back to drop off the regular mail! He is going to bring the package back in just a few minutes!

 

My girl finally cleared customs!!! I'm hoping for her to be home in the next few days.

 

I had to do the fastest opening ever then run back to work. I will try to get photos up soon.

 

Bought Benmore from the marketplace after a two week trip through customs and the mail system.He made it.

 

I'm currently waiting on a second hand DOT type 2 body and it's been on the same shipping info for about 3 weeks now, in transit for 4... Getting impatient/worried but trying to justify it, since it's coming from Canada to the UK and is probably surface mail... But I'm sure as heck calling Parcel Force if nothing's changed in the next 2 weeks

After ten years... Volks Suiseiseki is on her way to me! She will be my Christmas present from my husband. I'm on pins and needles waiting for my holy grail!

 

I am waiting on a gamora skin Atelier Momoni Momonita. I'm so freaking excited, they're so precious!! I already have a wig, eyes, and clothes for her. She's going to be so spoiled when she finally gets here!!

 

My impulse buy should be shipping monday. I managed to stumble across a pukipuki ani listing. Got it was a great deal, but I have no idea what to do with the anime style faceplate

 

Finally managed to get my hands on a Ringdoll Don. I've wanted one since I was a kid and first got introduced into BJDs and I'm so excited!! He should be here by February 4th at the latest.

 

Just bought an old and kinda yellowed FCS boy on Dollyteria, it seems so weird to me that after like 14 years of being in the hobby I found one I liked that wasn't cost-prohibitive? It was definitely an impulse buy, and I'm feeling the guilt already for sure, but hopefully that'll change once I know he's on his way. It's a weird feeling, that's for sure.

 

In for a dumpling size Patti from Meadowdolls! I just bought her and she's coming from the US to Hong Kong but apparently the wait is only 6-10 days! (going to guess more like ten as Chinese New Year is in the way)

I've gone back and forth on this doll as she is completely adorable in some faceups/wigs and really meh in others, but this one is so cute. And one thing I like about second hand is the higher chance of getting a fullset. I do have some clothes for her as I have another doll in this size already but I don't have a big stock of wigs, so she'd probably be bald for a while if she wasn't coming with one.

 

I'm over the impulse buy guilt WHICH IS GOOD, BECAUSE DOLLYTERIA HAS SHIPPED MY BOY ALREADY??? I was prepared to wait a while, since I ordered a bunch of clothes and stuff with him from a few of their different locations, so I'm genuinely surprised they got everything together so quickly? (I had searched the forums and found that it usually takes a while.)

JEEZ I'm excited, he's gonna be here soon!

 

Apparently I shouldn't stay at home during school holidays because I have no self restraint and just bought a second doll in the same week. Also a Meadowdoll coming from the States, but this one is MSD-sized Tulla. She's an earlier doll and rarely seen (at least in the very active Meadowdolls group on Facebook) so I was pretty excited to get her.

 

Just got the tracking code for my SID Eva (Iplehouse)! She should be home in a week!

I just did an extreme impulse buy, I’m still waiting on my first doll but when I saw this head appear second hand I knew I had to get it. That’s right I got my female grail head Luts Delf Juri05!!! Best part is she’s practically new, she’s never had a face up or been used. I’m freaking out guys I now have both of my grails I’m just in love!

 

I got Eva today! She arrived even sooner than I expected.
I'm itching to start sewing for her so she doesn't need to wait nude for too long.

 

My Patti has landed in Hong Kong! Hoping I'll have her by the weekend.

 

Ugh the tracking hasn't updated since my boy left his home state... He should be here in four days and I'm hopeful but I just wish I knew where exactly he was.

 

Still no Patti. I'm assuming they're dealing with backlog from Chinese New Year and possibly the coronavirus scare is affecting things too, I don't know. I want my dolls!

I also bought a Roze Heln in pêche skin because I found a blank one. That's three second hand dolls in a month. No more no more ...

Hello! I have a supiadoll Rosy and extras coming in from Norway. The tracking number shows that she has been handed to USPS. I don't have an estimated arrival date yet.

 

I impulse-bought a resinsoul mei second-hand last week and she will be arriving some time next week hopefully! She'll be my first bjd! I've started sewing some new clothes for her, and browsing wigs... I kind of have no idea how I'm going to style her yet but I'm so excited to start.
