Aesthetics Second faceup elf girl!

Apr 28, 2018

    1. So we have the second head I decided to try my hand at, and it came out better than my first I think!

It's an elf head graciously gifted to me, unfortunately has some yellowing. I was thinking of trying to blush the upper body to match the head. I've already trimmed the bangs once, but I think I have to give it a go 1 more mm or get a wig cap to allow the wig to sit a little back.

    2. The blushing at the tip of the nose is cute, I never thought of that!

I have a doll who's a similar shade of yellow. I find that he looks a little less sickly if I use more purply tones to blush him first, like a dusting of a raspberry color, or a very cool/bluish/greyish brown color. Seal it, then put the reddish/orange colors you like to use over top. It will even out his tone a little.

Edit: What I'm meaning is that the color you used on his lips would be great in a thin layer under the other colors too if you ever redid him because it's a "cool tone" that offsets his yellowing! You're doing great, keep up the good work!

    3. they looks really good, I love how the bottom eyelashes look, I don't really like there lips, but of course that's just my opinion, I'm sure you enjoy them, and that's all that really matters, I'm just not a huge fan of almost nude lips.

I really like the blushing in the ears, I never really thought of blushing the ears, but it looks amazing in your doll.

    4. She looks really good! The blushing/eyeshadow looks super cute and the eyeliner looks nice.
However, I think something about the "darkness" in the mouth i a little too dark or too much, in my opinion. Apart from that I think shes pretty amazing.

    5. I ADORE how you blushed the nose! I always give my characters blush on their noses when I draw, I think it makes them look super cute. The darkness on the inside of the lips could be lessened though, there is almost too much of it for it to look natural. The eyeliner is fantastic!
